That's why I'm going with 5e, it basically undid most of 4e and at the moment is wide open in terms of lore.
> Well it sounds interesting, though I'm not entirely familiar with FR lore, so any suggestions where to look for that would be nice. Forgotten realms has a relatively easy lore to get around given that it is made up of relatively small and isolated Kingdoms, so if you are going to make a Dwarf from Mirabar, you don't need to be informed about the goings on of Silverymoon. I don't need players to be read up on any of the book/lore. But if you want the wiki has a good bit of information: http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page as far as broad-strokes are concerned and you can find a PDF of the campaign setting book from 3.5 with a google search, which has a good amount of detail but is slightly out of date.
Name: Ozrick Telgan Age: 27 Sex: Male Species: Human (Tarisian) Force Sensitive: Yes Affiliation: Jedi Guides Appearance: Abilities: Piloting, Ozrick is an Ace pilot, thanks to his training during the Taris Mandalore War, and his time as apart of the Taris Constubalry, he's proficient flying star-fighter, shuttles, and freighters. Ozrick's exceptional piloting skills are primarily the result of his latent force sensitivity and is where his potential with the force is most apparent. Blasters, Ozrick is handy with a Blaster pistol as his primary weapon. Basic Lightsabers, Ozrick has decent grasp of Shii-Cho, but not to the point where he is considered worthy to build his own. Jedi Apprentice, Ozrick has the forces powers of a Jedi Apprentice who is close to graduating to Knight. Intuition, Ozrick’s jedi training has focused on using the force to enhance his intuition. These sensations come to him as waves of emotion, dourness and dread about negative intuitions, and happiness and excitement for positive intuitions. Possessions: Besides his clothes, keys, and random lint in his pockets, Ozrick carries a: JH-414 Heavy Blaster A holo-com Apprentice Training Saber (Blue) Taris Constabulary Detective Badge A pair of relatively useless but stylish goggles. Personality: Ozrick is a duty focused man, always focused on the singular objective that he sees as his mission. This makes him narrow sighted but tirelessly driven. As a result of his being a decorated pilot, the revelation of his force sensitivity and subsequent quick promotion to detective, has left him with an inflated ego. His arrogance is a defensive mechanism against those who would doubt him because of his age. The last few years of war and crime have also left him with an irreverent sense of humor as a coping mechanism. His training has given him a more serene and harmonious outward disposition that you would expect from a Jedi, but the facade is prone to cracking often. OPTIONAL BACKSTORY: A member of the Tarisian working class, as a youth Ozrick was obsessed with swoop racing and dreamed of being a champion racer one day. This love of speed and adrenaline was what lead Ozrick to join the Tarisian Space Fleet at 17. When he was 19, the remaining Mandolrian clans declared war on Taris. The conflict would be known as the Last Taris Mandalorian war, the complete destruction of the Mandalorian’s was forecast by the sheer numbers alone. The entire Star fleet of the the one of the outer rims most prodigious shipyards versus just over one thousand mandalorian pilots. The mandalorians fleet was perhaps unrivaled in skill the entire galaxy, but against the might of the Tarisian capitol ships it was only a matter of time before they were overwhelmed. During the war Ozrick was assigned as a star fighter escort for one of the fleets capitol ships. The Mandalorains didn’t make it easy on them, the clan’s fully intended to go out in a blaze of glory. The first engagement with tens of thousand of drone fighters destroyed (together roughly equalling the GDP of a small planet) and the death of one hundred mandalorian pilots. Despite the losses, not a single Tarisian perished so it was reported as a decisive victory, filling the Tarisian fleet with even more confidence than it already had. The initial confrontation turned out to be a ruse, a sacrifice meant to boost the Tarisian’s confidence so that they would blindly accept false intelligence and lead their capitol ships into an ambush. As the fleet flew into a nebula in order to confront the mandalorian space-station; Ozrick’s intuition manifested itself in an intense sense of dread which caused him to hold back from his assigned sector. As soon as the capitol ship entered the nebula the mandalorians launched their ambush, destroying half the capitol ships and their escorts in a single sortie. Had Ozrick stayed he would have been vaporized before he’d seen the enemy. Instead during the resulting mayhem Ozrick distinguished himself as an ace, downing four bombers and six starfighters in a single engagement. After several more costly engagements they finally crushed the mandalorians. After the war Ozrick, now 20, turned in his straighter for a Taris Constable’s badge. As a constabul, Ozrick spent the majority of his time fighting the criminal elements that infested the lower levels and vast abandoned regions of Taris. He even realized his childhood dream of being a swoop racer in a manner, when he was embedded as an undercover agent in the swoop gangs. This particular assignment brought him to the attention of one the Constabularies’ Chiefs, a Jedi Master of the Leaders. The master recognized Ozrick’s natural talents for what they were, latent force sensitivity. He immediately promoted Ozrick to detective, and commenced training him in the ways of the Jedi. The promotion was meant to keep him out of harms way, and the detective work gave him a way to fine tune his force sensitivity and intuition. Ozrick was brought to grand conclave primarily due to his master’s rank in the Leaders but also in order to serve as their pilot. Other: Ozrick’s master is not identified, as it may be a PC who is interested or an NPC (who will likely be two days from retirement if you know what I mean).
" I'm not sure how, maybe they got a bomb or their going to sabotage a reactor, what I do know is that Red Sector is right next to the Master's who are currently trying very hard to shut out the outside world. Get to the nearest Turbo-lift it should be able to take you right to it." Ozrick replied quickly as he found his own way to a turbo-lift. "I'm not sure who would be stupid enough, but there's probably plenty of groups that would hate to see the Order reunited." *Including a few Jedi.* Ozrick considered grimly as he considered how many would lose influence in a centralized Order.
I want to see if there is any interest in an RP set in the D&D world of Abeir-Toril, specifically the region of Sword Coast in Faerun. Essentially this RP would be just like a D&D campaign, full of adventures and dungeons, but without the dice and all role-play. This campaign would follow an adventuring party from their start as local heroes to their height as masters of the realm. The players would be adventurers from a variety of races, walks of life, and classes. For the most part predominantly Good or at least lawful neutral. Brought together by a combination of circumstance and common connection that could also be something the players decide upon. Besides that the players would have a great deal of freedom to create characters of any class/race combination that they want provided it isn’t completely outlandish. A half-dragon illithid, Death-knight, would be a no. But if you want to play a Githzerei Dragon Shaman I can work with that. I would certainly be more than happy to have your more classic sorts. The current synopsis of the plot concerns the party combating a cult that wishes to bring about a Devil invasion of Toril. This would take place during the most recent age in Toril, that was released after 5e. I am looking for 4-8 players for this RP. Character Sheet: Great, glad to see there is interest, I am going to start working on the opening post, but in the mean time here is the character sheet for if you want to start working on a character. Name: Age: (As is appropriate for your race and class.) Race: (Feel free to chose from any of the races that are common to Faerun) Class: (Feel free to choose any D&D class you want within reason) Abilities: (List here what your character is excels at. Be that swordplay, lock picking, stealth, acts of strength, bluffing, magic, etc. You don’t need to list every class feature and proficiency your character might have if this was a D&D game, just the areas were they shine. These should be appropriate for a low level adventurer around level 3.) Alignment: (For this RP I’d prefer Good, Lawful Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral, or True Neutral. Other alignments aren’t off limits but it will make me think twice about accepting your sheet.) Appearance: (Picture and/or description here, at there very least I want height, weight, eye color, and hair color.) Personality: (Expand your character beyond a race/class alignment combo. List temperament, quirks, and other important details.) Inventory: ( List the possessions your character has on them. It is alright to refer simplify most of the mundane gear like rope, bedroll, poles, food, and such simply as ‘Adventuring Kit’. Like Abilities it should be appropriate for a low level character.) History: (Optional, but it is nice to have an idea of where your character is from) Notes: (Optional, anything not covered above that you would like to mention in the character sheet.)> quote here
"Red Sector," Ozrick found himself saying aloud unconsciously. Suddenly he snapped back, his nervousness threatening to turn into full blown panic. He grabbed Cassandra's shoulder and pleaded, "Listen, something terrible is about to happen on this station, everyone is at risk, I need your help, we need to get Red Sector and stop it." He didn't even know if he could stop it, assuming Red Sector was the place but he had to act.

Ozrick didn't wait for Cassandra's answer, every second counted, he needed to contact his master. He pulled out his Commlink and tried a broadcast to all of the Jedi Guide Master at the station. Something block it, the master's sequester must have extended to their comm-links as well. However the call didn't completly fail, quite the contrary he could see it connected to two commlinks on the station, he didn't recognize them but at this point he needed all the help he could get. Elona and Zeven's commlinks recieved a message, a short request from Ozrick:

"Listen, I need your help, I am Ozrick Telgan, Jedi Guide, someone is trying to destroy Graveyard Station, you have to come to Red Sector as soon as possible. Hurry and may the force be with you."
I just edited my last post for Typos. In case you haven't notice I tend to revisit my post a few hours later simply to clean up my grammar and spelling.
"I'll make a note of that, see if I can't corner one of them with my questions." Ozick muttered absent mindedly, thinking more about Cassandra herself now. He didn't need the force to see that this sort of bodyguard detail was beneath someone of her rank, let alone a commando. He did still need to force to pick her out of the crowd, even if she was an elite soldier he was still having trouble understanding what the force was drawing him to her.

"So, Colonel what do you think of Graveyard Station? Pretty inauspicious spot for a summit right?" He probed.
"Kuat Drive Yards?" The mere mention of them sent the pilot on a rambling series of questions, and caused him to ignore the fact she had just refered to him as a kid. " No way! hey is it true what they're saying about the inertial dampeners on their new line of star fighters? Do they really produce more tonnage than every other shipyard combine? What about the-" Ozrick cut himself off when he remembered why he had started talking to her in the first place.

"Uh never mind that, I used to be a fighter pilot, still can't resist talking shop," He mentioned, trying to hide his embarrassment at his outburst, " I'm Ozrick Telgan, I'm with the Jedi Guide's delegation, but I'm not really a delegate, really my master just brought me along because they needed someone to fly the ship. Who are you?"
With landing procedures completed, Ozrick stepped out of the corvette and out into the whirlwind of activity that was the landing bay. Crafts of every size landed all around him, dozens of delegations scrambled in every direction in varying states of organization. Station crew members ran left and right, scrambling to deal with influx and hundreds of protocol violations at once. The thin air carried the smell of ozone and the sound of dozens of arguments. And that was simply the scene from his physical senses, through the force he could feel the presence of hundreds of Jedi starkly against the background of the great wound in the force.

As he made his way out of the landing bay he began performing an exercise Kernden had taught him to isolate what the force was making him feel. It began with him taking inventory of everything he was feeling. The pressure on the soles of his feet as he walked, the cold air on his skin, the tug of his clothing, that itch on the back of his head, an ache in his left elbow from and old injury. Next he moved onto more emotional sensations; irritability from tabac withdrawal Maybe I can sneak a cigarra while Kenden is away; fear from being around this many Jedi's for the first time Kernden's right I barely act like a Jedi, how can I expect these guys to buy it; anxiety from sensing the wound in the force I felt this sometime on Taris in Memorial District, such an unnatural amount of death; and finally grief from now where what am I grieving? Was it the people of Alderaan killed long ago with out a chance of resisting? No this felt closer to him some recent like the loss of a family member. But he couldn't remember what or who it was.

This was what the force was making him feel, if he knew if he followed it he would discover something, he just didn't know what. He snapped out of his meditation just in time avoid running into another delegation. Not Jedi by the look of them, a merchant prince judging by the size of his security detail. For a brief moment he looked into the visor of one of the troopers, something told him that they looked back but it the tinted visor made it impossible to be sure. For a split second the grief he was feeling lessened. It wasn't much but it sent his inspector's intuition into overdrive. So he took a few quick steps and caught up the commando and began walking along side her. After a moment he thought of something to say to Cassandra, "Don't suppose you would mind telling me who that is," he asked, pointing to Kuati heir.
