Ambrose only lost his beat when Caleb stripped down further. "Whoa," He mouthed as he took in the sight. But a beat later and he burst out into a fit of giggles. "Looks like someone wants to show off." He teased, his voice just barely loud enough to be heard over the pounding music. "I guess I don't mind this time." He resumed his beat, pressing closer to his companion this time. Ambrose threaded a hand through Caleb's hair, leaning close enough that he could feel his breath. Ambrose had promptly decided he was just going to go for it, and in his clouded alcohol-addled brain, that was a fantastic idea.

But just as he gained his courage, a heavy hand gripped his shoulder and jerked him back an inch. "Mind if I cut in?" A deep voice yelled over the music. Ambrose looked up at the figure, a tall man with sharp features gazed back at him. A confident smile graced his lips, white teeth flashing in the low lights. "Er, with me?" Ambrose asked in confusion, and the man laughed at the response. "No, I meant with Caleb." He responded and continued to tug Ambrose lightly away from his new friend. At this point Ambrose got the message and was compliant with being pulled away. "Um, right." He said, even with the help of alcholo, Ambrose face blushed with embarrassment. Ambrose and the new man both looekd towards Caleb for his answer.
Ambrose exhaled and blinked slowly, taking a moment to evaluate how much of an effect the drink was having on him. He wasn't shit-faced yet, which was lucky. Mostly he felt comfortably warm and everything people said made a giggle burst from his chest. The second drink he sipped more slowly, careful to not push his limits. He didn't want to black out during the evening. He didn't really know anyone here, not even Caleb who he had just met today. "Yeah, what did she say?!" Ambrose cut in, stepping close to Alex with narrowed eyes. With his current state, his actions were unweighted by his usual social anxiety.

He only backed off to give room for Alex to fix Caleb another drink. Taking the chance to keep working his way through his second cup. "Big boy..." He snickered to himself before Caleb caught his attention once more with his wink. It took a second for Ambrose to register his offer. His gaze shifted from the pulsing dance floor and the dazzling smile of the man in front of him. "Oh god, I'm going to do this." He said, his inner voice was practically screaming at him to stop and just go back to the dorm. But old habits die hard, and Ambrose simply couldn't resist the charms of the pretty face in front of him.

Ambrose drowned the last of his drink and grabbed Caleb by the wrist. He led them to the dance floor, and the pair was practically consumed by the crowd immediately. In his haze, the rest of the people seemed to melt together and only Caleb was the one in focus. Music pounding in his ears, the scene was almost like a dream. But it felt liberating to let go and just feel the beat pulse through him. Ambrose moved his body to the tempo, pulling Caleb in close so he could feel the heat between their bodies. Ambrose's movements had a certain grace to them, and it showed he knew what it was doing. The rhythm moved his hips and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
Ambrose watched Caleb carefully, almost like a deer caught in headlights as Caleb circled his prey. Shivering at his warm breath, Ambrose was easily persuaded to trail behind, following Caleb closely. "They're...really a bit embarrassing." He was all he could mumble as he recovered his bearings. It was a bit overwhelming, the way Caleb wrapped Ambrose around his finger so effortlessly. The man practically screamed sex appeal, it was no wonder he worked as a porn star before BlackBrick.

Ambrose was only able to refocus when Alex gestured to him, asking for his name. Ambrose let his companion answer the questions, and instead took the rosy pink drink wordlessly. He peered down into the contents suspiciously, not even taking a sip until Caleb had taken several drinks. But seeing as his friend was content with it, and seemed to trust Alex as well, Ambrose decided he might as well. Closing his eyes, he took a glug, the taste was sweet and even a bit addictive.

"Oh god," He choked out, "I think I might have overestimated my tolerance for alcohol." He admitted, already feeling the effects slowly creep over his body. He already felt the warmness spread, and his concern for social activities diminished as he took another drink. "But this tastes really good." He muttered, and giggled lightly. He moved his gaze back to Caleb and shot a smirk in his direction as he finished his drink. "Another please." He asked and shoved the cup back towards Alex.

Ahh, I don't use skype :L Do you perhaps have discord?
Ambrose watched with eagle eyes as Caleb performed the spell, tucking away the memory for another time he might need it. Then, suddenly, the landscape had completely changed. The cool breeze of the night hit his face and he exhaled, releasing his long held breath. But as soon as he breathed in, the party scene hit him. The party was clearly already well-underway, the crowd rowdy and cheerful as they let loose for the night. Surprisingly, the scene was not unfamiliar for the introvert. Especially the small pockets of people in a circle, sharing crushed pills and other hard drugs. At the sight of that, Ambrose swallowed thickly and tried to instead focus on Caleb's smile.

Ambrose let himself be led by Caleb, letting his hand on his arm rest there for a heartbeat longer then necessary before letting go. He nodded politely as he was introduced to several people, and all of them seemed to be friendly with Caleb. Ambrose tried to put on his best social face, which was more of a tense smile honestly. "People like Rachel probably just need a good friend honestly." He said with a shrug, he paused to look up at Caleb as he mentioned his relationship status. "Ah, I see. Well you've made it longer then I ever have honestly." He admitted with a soft chuckle, patting Caleb lightly on the shoulder.

Ambrose met the gaze of Alex briefly, letting out a nervous giggle as he did. Okay, so there are way too many attractive people here. Everyone seemed so radiant and comfortable in their own skin. A drastic change of pace to what he was used to. He was nodding along as Caleb explained the layout but stiffened as he realized he was being pulled to the crowded dance floor. "Oh no no no," He shook his head, "Not until I have at least a couple drinks in me."
Ambrose frowned slightly as he finished speaking, observing Caleb's reaction. The more time he spent with this charismatic creature, the more he realized how different they were. And the way Caleb's eyes pierced right through him, it distracted from his train of thought multiple times during their interactions. "Yes... From what I can tell the headmaster is a kind person." He nodded.

Ambrose stared wide eyed, obviously impressed by the theatrics. His mouth slightly opened as he watched the orb of light completely transform. "Jeez, that is... Beautiful, I have to admit." He chuckled and took the rose tentatively. He opened his mouth to respond but was cut off as Samantha waltzed in. Ambrose quickly shoved the rose back into Caleb's hand, face heating up. Crossing his arms over his chest, narrowing his eyes at Samantha in response to her wink. He wasn't sure he even liked the girl, he got the feeling she knew a little too much about people and knew how to play behind the scenes.

Ambrose breathed a sigh of relief as she disappeared, turning back to Caleb. "Uh, you can show me later. I'm not that practiced so I'll just hitch a ride." He responded and shuffled to his side. Ambrose hesitantly took a hold of Caleb's arm, feeling the bicep. Okay, maybe he just wanted to touch the hot guy. But it would be faster this way.
Ambrose wanted to just melt right there at the grin Caleb flashed him, but instead he pursed his lips into a hardened line. Trying to hide how much Caleb affected him. Ambrose had encountered people like Caleb before, but none of them have quite affected him the same way. Perhaps it was all just mere physical attraction. Whatever it was, Ambrose was displeased he could be influenced so easily just because he found some other guy attractive.

He took a step back as Caleb approached, distrust flashing in his eyes. But it was only a fancy bracelet that was offered and Ambrose tentatively accepted the offering. It wasn't half bad, and it looked nice as he slipped it on. "Uh, thanks for this too I guess..." He trailed off, has Caleb continued on to compliment him further. "Right." Was all he could squeak out, face once again assuming its beet redness and a furrowed brow. Was Caleb being straightforward? Or just messing with the blundering freshmen? He was so damn nonchalant about it.

Ambrose nodded, getting ahold of himself as Caleb went on talking smoothly, and Ambrose got comfortable by leaning against the wall. "It's a long story." He huffed, "I just kinda got....thrust into this world. Not even sure why it accepted me either." He shrugged and glanced away, not really wanting to get into the full story. Not yet. "I have to admit though, its a strange place, but I don't want to leave it anytime soon."

Ambrose had been shifting from foot to foot anxiously, and had checked the room number twice by the time Caleb finally stepped out. Their eyes met across the room as he stepped out of the bathroom and Ambrose physically struggled to keep his gaze from drifting downwards. "I-I'm sorry!" He sputtered, face gone beet red at the intrusion. "I wasn't sure what to do, and well, uh..." He trailed off and glanced away As Caleb pulled on underwear behind the divider.

This time Ambrose gave in and shamelessly stared down at the white and pink underwear. Okay, unexpected choice of color. He scrambled out of the way, "Sorry again..." He fidgeted and hovered near the door of the dorm. "Heh, thanks, you don't have to lie though." Ambrose responded, shrugging off the compliment. He was just being nice. Ambrose was still dressed in dark colors, ripped black jeans and the same turtleneck splattered with various shades of paint. "You're outfit is much more...interesting." He said, eyes lingering on the eye-catching shirt. Ambrose admittedly didn't understand the reference, thinking it some obscure magic lingo.

"Right. Thanks again, I um, haven't been to a party in a while. Sorry if I'm unbearably awkward." He tousled his hair, "Might need a few drinks to loosen up," He grumbled, the last part was mostly to himself.
He pulled the comb through his curls for the hundredth time, and again failing to make the hair atop his head any tidier looking. Finally he sighed and glared into the mirror, spending a few moments cursing his looks before he realized the time. "Oh shit!" He cursed to hmself as he hopped up out of his chair, gathering his phone and keys. He ignored the glance of disapproval from his roommate, pretending he didn't notice the glare. He had too much on his mind to worry about that.

The clock clicked 7:30 PM as Ambrose came up upon the upperclassmen dorm. Voices could be heard from inside as Ambrose pushed in, making his way past crowds of older students conversing among themselves. They played little attention to the freshmen, only sparing one disinterested glance before turning back to their own business. Ambrose stepped up along the stairs, down the hallway before he stopped in front of the 702 dorm room. Faint singing could be heard drifting from inside, and against his better judgment Ambrose knocked before creaking the unlocked door open.

He poked his head in before allowing himself fully inside the room. "Hello?" He called out softly, but was only answered the pattering of water from the bathroom. From which steam drifted from the cracks of the bathroom door. "This is Caleb's room right?"

Ambrose breathed a sigh of relief as he finally finished his blabbering. But he tensed up as Caleb's voice seeped through the phone. He had honestly expected the perky Samantha picking up. But honestly, he should have expected something like this. And for some reason the trickery didn't upset him like most situations would. It felt more like a favor.

Ambrose listened carefully, taking in each detail that was heard through the receiver. The voice was silky, and felt like a smile was behind it. It sounded like he paused to sigh lightly, and a small shiver was sent down Ambrose's spine as he imagined Caleb, eyes closed and mouth slightly ajar. But failing to notice Caleb had finished his offer, Ambrose had remained silent for almost a full minute.

"Oh! Um, yeah sounds good, I guess I'll see you then. Bye." He blurted and abruptly hung up the phone, panting. Why was he so flustered? Ambrose stood there by the fountain, pondering it before deciding that it didn't matter. Shaking the black curls out of his eyes, Ambrose started off towards his dorm. He wondered if he even had anything suitable for a party setting.
