I'm not so sure at the moment Pathfinder. I do like the idea of them turning into ugly winged creatures capable of flight but I will leave that up in the air for now. For them taking a more mythical approach I don't feel like it is necessary for them to have their Hollywood weakness such as garlic, crosses, and sunlight. I'll definitely have to think about it.
The cold bite of the Alaskan night air seemed to cut right through him despite him having a thick coat on. Jack pulled his coat tighter around himself and breathed into his hands. Torch had sent him all the way out here along with a hundred or so others to set up a FOB in the Alaskan wilds. No one was briefed yet on their objective but he could guess it had something to do with werewolves. Torch spared no expenses on this one, they had been working for days setting up this base, setting up fences and towers. This place was looking more and more like a fortress with each passing day. He waved at one of his buds standing guard near the armory “You got a smoke man?” Jacked asked. His buddy pulled a pack from his pocket and threw him a cig. He lit it up and took a long drag letting smoke fill his lungs before exhaling. “So you know why they stationed us all the way out here in the ass end of nowhere?” His buddy asked him as he shifted his rifle from one shoulder to the other. “One can only imagine, but I guess it has something to do with a pack of werewolves.” Jack said in his most sarcastic tone. “We’re going to find em and kill em all!” Rob joked. Jacked allowed himself to smirk for a moment then turned to watch as a heli flew over head. “Man why cant werewolves live in Hawaii, or some place warm?” Jack stated before flicking his half finished cig. When he got no answer he turned to face his friend again only to find him missing. “Rob, quit the shit man.” Jack said hoping this was just another prank. Something caught his attention, a gurgling sound coming from behind the armory. He grabbed his rifle instinctively and moved to the edge of the armory where his friend once stood. Peeking around the corner he saw it. Large teeth clamped shut around his friends throat and a hulking mass of black fur hovered above him. Fear gripped him and he froze in his place, this was the first time he saw a werewolf this close. The beast turned to look at him staring at him with cold dead eyes, then just as quickly steeled off into the night dragging his friend with him.

Plot:

Welcome to Alaska a haven for some and a war zone for others. For werewolves this wild frontier is one of the last places on earth where you are not hunted night and day simply for being different. Alaska is home for not one but many tribes of werewolves, some peaceful and some not. Recently things have started changing in your home. More and more people have been seen on the outskirts of the forest. These people are not just local hunters but dangerous invaders. News has reached your pack of a massacre not far from your territory. Werewolves are being systematically hunted and killed, some are even being taken alive for unknown reason. This is a dangerous time for werewolves and these events are only growing more severe. One night you awake to sounds of conflict, gunfire and heavy machinery are ringing in your ears as too are the cries of victims. Mankind has found your home and are slaughtering your pack. You watch in horror as family and friends are gunned down in the night. Fires spread through the forest and bodies litter nearly every inch of ground. Some fight and some flee but what you decide will change your life and not for the better. Somehow you survive the massacre, and find yourself wondering the woods. You happen across other survivors of not just your pack but other packs, all of whom share a similar story. You gather around these few survivors and together they endure. A new pack is made and for now mankind has yet to seek you out. You fear however that mankind will once again find you and continue their senseless slaughter of your race.

Playable races:

Humans: Not very strong on their own but they are quite dangerous in numbers. Members of Torchlight are highly trained individuals and have only the best equipment at their disposal. Armed with the latest in military firearms and gear they fight as a unit and are very dedicated to their work. Torchlight has three branches of power, Research and Development, Light Infantry Scouts, and the Mobilized Infantry. I will go into more detail about each branch in the ooc.

Werewolves/Lycans: Werewolves or Lycans whichever you prefer will be slightly different then what you may be used to. I understand some people like for there werewolves to be more like actual wolves, and others prefer the more bipedal horror movie type. As a compromise I will merge the two so everyone will be happy. Lycans have three forms to help them survive I will state them below.

Human Form: Let me first state that a human can be turned into a Lycan by ingesting their blood, this process is dangerous and there is no guarantee the person will survive. Secondly Lycans can have offspring if both parents are the same species. These offspring do not develop powers until their early teenage years. Now while a Lycan is in human form they will have increased strength and agility along with heightened senses. A Lycan in human form can easily overpower a human twice his size and run twice as fast and far as an Olympic gold medalist.

Wolf Form: While in this form the Lycan takes on the shape of a normal wolf. There size and shape is no different then Alaskan timber wolfs and thus allows them to hide effectively. Although in this form their strength only increases slightly. The senses such as smell and taste however are greatly increased. Lycans who bond with one another can talk telepathically with one another in any form, however in this form the distance a message can be sent to one another is increase further then the other two.

Beast Form/True Form: The Lycan will never be stronger or as deadly as he is in this form. The Lycan takes on the appearance of a bipedal wolf creature with savage claws and fangs. A Lycan will grow stronger the fuller the moon is but does not require a full moon to take on this form, in fact most prefer to stay in this form permanently.

Vampires: Vampires will be allowed in this RP but don't expect to make a lot of friends. Vampires are the most powerful race in this RP but are also the most hated. They are fewer in number then the Lycans and are enemies of both sides.

So who is interested?
I have changed my character and his familiars abilities to meet your compromise Vicier. I was not trying to pick a fight, but I will stand my ground. Vicier you created this thread and you decide what goes into it, as far as I know Marx is not a co gm and unless he is he has no right to tell people they need to change their character.
Marx said
Got a few problems. We are no longer accepting any year above 1st level, as indicated previously in the OOC.The character's daemon is not a daemon as indicated by her status as a Valkyrie, her ability to go to Asgard and her ability to turn mortal. None of which have a place in this rp.Then last, but not least is that I have a very hard time buying that the character's father is both a leader of a major world wide weapons manufacturer and a renowned daemon hunter.

Alright buttercup I changed a few things so there is no need for you to get all excited. One thing however, they're goddess, dragons, talking animals, ghosts, even a Egyptian snake looking thing in this rp, who are you to decide what fits and what doesn't? Looking at the previous CS most of them have a high class demon hunter as a parent so mine stays as is unless Vicier states otherwise. If we want to talk about something that is hard to believe then lets talk about your sword. Lets say we have a sword that can shatter to splinters and reform to its original shape, for one their has to be some sort of heat involved, then and very quickly that sword is going to become so weak and fragile it might as well be useless. But I forget, this is a RP where logic can be overlooked so people can enjoy themselves. The last thing I want is drama and for us to have problems. I would very much like to be apart of this and contribute to the best of my abilities, so I'm just going to say don't step on my toes and I won't step on yours.
General Information
Name: Vincent Cromwell
Nickname: Vin, Vinny.
Age: 18
Birthday: July, 10
Gender: Male.
Relationship status: Single.
Year Level: Third Year.

Physical Appearance

Eye colour: Green.
Hair colour: Dirty Blonde.
Skin colour: White.
Build of body: Athletic.

Personality
Likes: They're few things Vincent truly likes. At one time Vincent enjoyed the simple things in life, such as swimming, cookouts, and casual walks. Reading was his preferred hobby. Many hours had been spent in his father’s library as a boy combing through books so old one had to be delicate to keep from damaging them. However as things change in life so too did he, his love of life had burned down to embers. No longer did he partake in the joys of his youth, but instead lingered in his self hate and anger. Self doubt had forced him to better himself. Training and fighting had became his new found religion. He would condition his body till bones splintered and his muscles tore. He vowed to become stronger so that he would never fail those he loved again. They're times when his past shines through and he finds himself alone with a good book.

Fears: Failure to himself and those close to him. His inability to cope with a loss of a loved one only furthers his self destruction. Vincent is a self doubter and will constantly doubt himself in even the most trivial of matters. This forces him to strive for perfection in everything that he does, yet nothing is perfect and knowing this only strives to hate himself even more.

Personal goals: His one desire is to become stronger than his father, a renown daemon hunter. Vincent strongly believes that if he can surpass those that came before him he will be able to protect others without fail.

Personality: Vincent is a tough person to get along with. He has no patience for others and his anger often gets the better of him. He understands the value of friends but the fear of failing them forces him to keep his distance. Yet despite his cold demeanor he still looks for those moments when he can make a human connection. However lack of apathy has caused him to come off as conceited. Vincent’s personal struggle with strength has made him stoic in nature and apathetic to anyone who does not share his ideals.

Background

Bio: Vincent was born into the wealthy Cromwell family. His family owns a large estate in Alaska yet only a select few have ever seen their home, yet know how to find it. The Cromwell family have done some extraordinary things, both earning them friends and enemies. Marcus inherited the families trucking company from his father, ATL Transport. A small but profitable company working mostly in the South East. Marcus devoted much of his time to the prosperity of his company and due to his efforts he now controls one of the largest trucking companies in the states. Even with his families vast amount of wealth nothing could stop their enemies from one day finding them. One night while Vincent slept and his father was away, daemons attacked from the cover of darkness. Vincent awoke to screams and roars from within his home. As all children do when panic strikes he fled to his mothers room. What he saw their would change his life forever. A daemon was gorging himself on what remained of his mother. Her lifeless body slugged over the bed one arm stretching to the door. In that instant rage overtook him and he flung himself upon the demon, and like a doll was flung across the room. He awoke some time later in a strange bed, too weak to move he lay their silent. Across from him he could hear his father speaking in a hush tone. His voice was a rasp but the words “He is ready.” rang clear. Vincent turned to look at his father, it was the first time he had ever seen him cry and it would be the last. By his side was a woman clad in amour shinning bright as the sun itself. His fathers partner he knew, by her side was a small frail looking girl with snow white hair and eyes as red as blood. One of the Valkyries he thought to himself. His father wasted no time in leaving, not even turning to look at his son before he made his escape. The woman however nudged the girl towards Vincent and just as quickly left to follow after his father. The little girl made her way to his bed and gently touched his hand. “My name is Astrid. I’m here to make a contract with you.” Her gentle voice was feint and almost a whisper. “How many?” Vincent asked. His father had talked to him in detail about daemons and contracts, and how he would one day take a Valkyrie as a familiar as all Cromwell have done. “Ten years...” She finally squeaked out. He grabbed her hand and sealed the contract. Astrid looked at him with sympathetic eyes “I will not ever fail you, I promise.” Vincent squeezed her hand and he too cried.

Daemon - General Information

Physical Appearance

Name: Astrid.

Species: Valkyrie.

Gender: Female.

Class: B.

Powers:

Eyes of True Sight: As was apart of her species job they had to scour battlefields in search of men with true courage. Astrid's eyes allow her to see what truly lies behinds a persons eyes. wither they be cowards, dishonest, or false in anyway you cannot hide it from her.

Void Walk: The ability to instantly move her body from her original point to that of her partner. This ability can transport her instantly over great distances, but only to her partners location.

Combat Training: Astrid has been trained by the best Asgard could offer. She has trained to the point that her swordsmanship is precise and deadly. Beyond that her hand to hand combat skills are on a equal footing with her swordplay.

Life/Death: Like all Valkyrie she once had the ability to choose who lived and died when two opposing forces met, however this ability was lost along with her connection to her world when she signed her contract with Vincent. Now this ability is stunted to the point where she can only revive a single person, and doing so fatigues her greatly.

Physical Strength: Similar to the Niphilim Astrid has increased strength and agility. Despite her size she can easily lift five times her own weight.
Is this still open by any chance?
