I think I've read that you don't mind accepting after you've started, so hopefully this is okay!
Name: Cecily Cain
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Trainer Class: Fairy Tale Girl

Appearance:

With a rather sickly pallor to her complexion and a dainty frame that seems as though it could easily be blown by the wind, Cecily has always been likened to a fragile porcelain doll. There's an obvious sluggishness to her gait, despite all her attempts to hide it, and even the slightest bit of exertion causes her cheeks to redden. Years of minimal physical activity has also made her uncoordinated. It's not like she'll be tripping all over the place, but she may or may not have accidentally caused a chain of destruction once. Or a couple of times.

Cecily's eyes are a pale blue, either sparkling with pent-up enthusiasm or glazed over as her overactive imagination shifts into gear. Her hair reaches past her lower back. She would like to style it differently every day, but she has found that it takes up too much energy in the mornings, and so settles for quick braids or even just letting it down. Silk ribbons always adorn her hair, with their color dependent on her current outfit. She's not too particular with her attire, but she does have a penchant for floral designs. Dresses are her default choice because they're the easiest to move in. Wearing pants somehow increases her clumsiness—she swears she can prove it—so she tries to avoid them. Also, because she's sensitive to temperature extremes, she always carries spare clothes with her.

Personality: Cecily is two parts sunshine and one part rainbow, taking on the day with an infectious grin on her face. Her body may be weak, but she's definitely not lacking in jauntiness. In fact, her borderline recklessness is the root of her family's ceaseless worry. Cecily hates feeling restricted because of her less-than-stellar physical condition, and often ends up trying to overcompensate by pushing her limits. Nothing is impossible, she'll often whisper to herself, even if her ungainliness causes her to wreak havoc yet again. She's also the sort that goes at her own pace. Driven by whims and unabashedly herself, she cares very little about how others view her and often does as she pleases. She'll freely sing and skip as she walks, happily oblivious to the world around her.

Cecily might be a little too frank for her own good. For one thing, it's made her an open book. It's why she tends to clamp up and shy away from others the moment she starts feeling vulnerable. While she prefers being in the company of others, she absolutely hates being fussed over, so she'd rather be alone during those times. Cecily also cannot lie to save her life. She honestly hopes it would never have to come to that. She can never seem to come up with a believable lie on the spot. It's a bit odd, especially when convoluted and ridiculous what-if scenarios go through her head a mile a minute. In any case, her boundless candor also means that she has very little filter. There's a direct line from her brain to her mouth, so there's a big chance she'll unintentionally offend someone at some point. She would have to be explicitly told about her offense, though, or she would never know.

It may not seem like it, what with her idiosyncrasies (and more than often idiotic moments), but Cecily is actually quite brilliant. Years of hospitalization meant hours upon hours of idle time, all of which she alleviated by reading. From books about Pokémon and their abilities, to the history of the different regions, she had built up quite a comprehensive internal encyclopedia throughout the years. It's no replacement for the worldly experience she lacks, but all that information definitely has its uses. Reading fairy tales have also had quite an effect on her. These stories have been a big part of Cecily's world, and it's apparent in her overly romanticized view of the world. She can see a silver lining where there is none, even make one herself if needed. Her 'nothing is impossible' mantra stems from the undying optimism found in the fairy tale's protagonists. Because everything works out for them in the end, Cecily has been simulating their unwavering sense of sanguinity. She will achieve her dreams and get her happy ending, chronic illness be damned.

Biography: In Lumiose City, the Cain family has come to be known for their fruitful efforts in the medical field. Cecily's parents are heads of their respective specializations, and even her older siblings have slowly been going up the ranks. Having been born into a family of doctors, it seemed somehow ironic that Cecily is as sickly as she is. She was diagnosed with a chronic disease that caused her to suffer from nutritional deficiencies, anemia, and pain crises every so often. It wasn't debilitating, but it meant she was generally weaker than normal. Strenuous work was definitely not allowed. After her parents learned of her illness, they thought it was best to remove her from the bustling and overcrowded metropolis. They took her to the more tranquil Vaniville Town when she was four, and there she would remain to be taken care of by her retired grandparents.

As expected, the fresh air and the less strenuous environment of the sleepy town positively affected her health. She was even surrounded by a small team of Chanseys and Blisseys that was always on standby, ready to take action in case she has one of her attacks. For most of her childhood, she was never once left unsupervised. Everything was perfectly regulated; safe, secure, and suffocating. It didn't take long for Cecily to become overwhelmed by the constant vigilance. She tried making the most of it, staying as active a she possibly can, but that wasn't very much at all. She was forbidden from participating in most events held at her school, and was rarely allowed to play with other children and their Pokemon. It made her restless. Every time she had to sit out on some physical activity, she felt the need to compensate. It spurred her to do reckless stunts to prove that she isn't as feeble as she felt, and that only resulted in very frequent trips to the hospital. But for her, it was all worth it. Cecily just wanted to feel that in spite of her limitations, she can still do anything as long as she puts her mind into it.

It was around her twenty-fifth time back at the hospital that her grandparents decided on a different tactic for handling the troublesome girl. They gave up hope on Cecily ever staying put. Instead of having her cook up increasingly risky stunts, they thought a more structured journey was a much safer alternative. After all, children were able to go through one without getting harmed. And at the very least, she would have her own Pokémon watching over her. It took a while to get her parents on board with the idea, but eventually everyone agreed that it was the safest way to appease Cecily's restlessness. Just in time, too, because there have been commercials about the Saro Region everywhere...

Favorite Pokemon Type: Instead of just specializing in fairy Pokemon, Cecily has also likes Pokémon that actually remind her of the fairy tales she's read. (So Pokemon that resemble dragons or fairies or knights; all that jazz)

Orange! :D
Throwing in my interest, as well! I like the concept of the three different races. :D I'm more inclined toward trying out for a Gryphos character, but I have to admit shapeshifting into a unicorn is pretty awesome.
