Sadly, someone thought life would be threatened by these things and sealed them away into a Tome. An old Artifact.
Time passed.
Technology started to evolve and advance. Now things are powered by clockwork gears and steam.
But.
Magic would not be suppressed forever.
A bunch of youths, barely more than adults, found the Tome and opened it. A blast of energy went through the world, awakening magic in people and reviving the ancient species and races of the world. The young ones went into a coma for two years.
One by one, they awoke.
