Okay so I really should have said something a long time ago but for some reason I've never got around to doing so, mostly because I feel like I would let you guys down or something. However, I think that leaving you hanging is much worse so I might as well get it out of the way.

Basically, I've run out of interest for this RP. And I know this is incredibly bad timing, but I really can't pretend to say I'm still interested because that will simply lead to long cycles of me being inactive only to pump out a small post and then disappear into the woodwork.

I've basically come to dread it being my turn, and that's not at all because you guys aren't fun to RP with. It's simply because I feel like every post I make just brings you guys down. I'm basically ending this with a definite bow out, instead of petering out slowly.

Sorry, guys, but Date A Live as a concept has lost its charm for me (it doesn't help that Fire Emblem: Awakening has been taking up most of the free time I do end up getting). I really debated doing this rather than sucking it up and continuing but I really feel like I should cut the ties quickly and cleanly.

I don't know when I'll RP again; given my impulsiveness it'll probably be really soon, and I might start a Fire Emblem RP or something along those lines. As for Date A Live, though, it's really not a series I'm interested in anymore (at least until Date A Live III comes out, if ever).

So yeah. Apologies to everyone. I wish I could have manned up and told you guys sooner, but better late than never, I suppose.
"Hmm? Oh... that is..."

Coriander cleared his throat again.

"Ah, uh... I just found it strange that you called me Coriander. I thought you were going to call me 'Cori' now. Did you change your mind?"

He hoped not. To be honest, he'd been kind of looking forward to it. It was a small thing, but it made it seem like they were close... like it was confirming their relationship... or something.

"A-Anyway," he said, noticing the stuffed bunny on the stand. "I may have been distracted, but it all worked out in the end."

He took the stuffed bunny and presented it to Meara.

"Now, darling, what do you say we sample some cakes?"
Well, now's a good time as any:

Who here has Skype? Let's make a Skype group.
"Hmm, alright, I guess I was getting hungry, too," Coriander replied, handing a coin to the man chuckling behind the stand. Three balls were put on the stand in front of him. Coriander picked one up, aimed, and threw the ball.

It missed. Alright. No biggie. He still had two balls left.

He took the next one, and threw that as well. This one hit the top bottle, which teetered slightly, but didn't fall.

Oh, that was right, the bottles were weighted. Coriander mentally slapped himself for forgetting that fact. That meant he had to win it with this one. He picked up the last ball. He had to focus for this one. He wanted to see Meara's smile when he won her that bunny. He aimed, and...

Wait a minute... didn't Meara say she was going to call him "Cori"? He distinctly recalled that she called him "Coriander" just now... Maybe she forgot? Maybe she wasn't used to it yet?

And it was with that distracted mindset that he threw, with the ball hitting the sweet spot in between two of the bottom bottles, sending all of them toppling to the ground.
Aww, Kyoko didn't get it. Mayumi pouted dejectedly. It was a shame, because she was really looking forward to her reaction.

Mayumi guessed she wasn't blunt enough, or something. That was probably it. Well, maybe she got there she could...

She was interrupted by the speakers coming on.

We have an auditorium? Huh.

Mayumi was surprised at that. She'd never really explored the campus; she was too busy spending her free time in the gaming club room. Oh well.

She followed along after Kyoko. After all, she actually knew where it was. Unlike herself.
"Tch." Kouhime hissed.

She was just in the middle of a song, and at the same time in the middle of a chapter, when the PA system caused a drove of people to pass by her. And that was too distracting.

Whatever.

She stood, putting her book back into her bag, before heading with the crowd. She guessed that, with everyone moving as one, something interesting was about to happen.
I think the big problem is that, of the 8 people that joined, 2 are unaccounted for and 1 has withdrawn. That functionally leaves 5 people, 1 of which can't post because of extenuating circumstances and 1 of which is AWOL at 7 days. That leaves 3 people, which basically turns it into that third wheel scenario that Silver Fox has stated.
It's not a bad thing; I like the story we're writing, but I feel like we're leaving everyone else behind.
To be honest, it feels kind of weird that only two of us are posting. XD
Meara put her head on his shoulder. In all honestly, Coriander wasn't expecting them to move along this fast but...

But, Cori didn't mind at all. So, he decided to just... enjoy this time.

"Ah ah ah..." he said, shaking his finger and returning Meara's mischievous grin. "It's a secret... You'll just have to wait."

"All I'll say is that it's a very special place for me."

They eventually came to one of the game stalls; the classic "hit the milk bottle" game, with a bunch of prizes on the back wall.

"Shall I win something for you... darling?" he said, emphasizing that last word.
"Oh, you." He said, in response to Meara's joke.

He blushed a bit more when she linked her arm into his. He cleared his throat.

"Well, anyway, I was thinking of just walking around, enjoying all of the fanfare, try out some games," he said, sheepishly. Truth be told, he hadn't really thought up a detailed plan; he was just planning to walk around.

"That way we can work up an appetite. I would also like to see how Lavender fares in the contest. She's not told me what she is making, so I want to spectate as much as anyone."

He began to walk toward the plaza, bringing her along. An idea came to him as he walked.

"Later, if you would like, I can show you something special."
