Is this still open? I'd like to participate if so.

(How long has it been since I posted on this site? ...Oh Jesus Chr-)
I'm still waiting for more people, but I can also get the OOC up soon, if needed.

This is also a bump.
((Third Fourth Fifth time's the charm, right guys?))

The Premise:

The town of Aikari is located in a hilly, forested region of Japan, surrounded on all sides by tall mountains and located by a river which leads to a nearby lake. Although Aikari is just a half an hour drive from the nearest city, its mountainous borders doesn't exactly make it a common road trip destination. It is a quaint little town with a small population, but it nevertheless boasts an impressive commercial district for a town of its size. It contains a large mall, several arcades and karaoke bars, and a few small cafes that line one particular plaza. There are three residential districts that surround the commercial blocks, which feed into five grade schools and two high schools. All in all, not quite a bustling metropolis, but it has its charm.

Of course, a small town like this still has its fair share of rumors, and perhaps because of the town's small size, those rumors can spread fast. It's in the larger of the town's high schools, Shirafuyu, that the latest rumor takes hold.

The old school building has been abandoned for close to ten years, and is officially off-limits to students. This of course is enough to send murmurs through the student body by itself, but recent developments have made things a bit more interesting.

"They say if you go into one of the rooms and enter a code into your cellphone, you'll be sent a message predicting your future."

It's unknown where this rumor started, or how it spread so quickly throughout the student body. But it's come to pass that everyone knows about it, in some form. Maybe it's predicting your future. Maybe it's talking to the dead. Some of the rumors are more outlandish than others, but they all involve the old school building and a cellphone code.

But of course, it's just a rumor. There's no basis for it. After all, there's no way to predict the future, or talk to the dead, or anything like that. All of that is just wish fulfillment, after all.

The truth of the old school building is something different entirely...

The Details:

You play a high school student at Shirafuyu Academy that, for some reason or another, finds themselves investigating the rumor of the old school building. Maybe it's because of some secret desire. Maybe it's because you want to nip the rumor in the bud. Maybe you're just bored. Whatever the reason, you find yourself inside the old school building, knowing full well how much trouble you could get in.

There's something about the building's current state; something that points toward a certain thing in a certain room. With the help of your cellphone, could you be able to unravel the mystery?

It may prove to be bigger than you ever imagined...

This RP is a horror/exploration/mystery RP. There are many things that you won't know from the beginning. OOC information will be provided as players discover things IC.

Although the main meat of the RP takes place in the old school building, there will be segments that occur in the outside world. These segments are for character and relationship development. Make friends, spark romances, whatever it is you want to do. Maybe, if your characters survive the ordeal, they'll find themselves with stronger connections than when they started.

If.

Keisuke had barely made headway in his ramen when another woman appeared. This must have Keisuke's lucky day. If this mall had this many beauties, Keisuke would never want for anything.

Anyway.

The new woman asked them if they worked at the mall, to which Keisuke nodded his head. Ikki explained to the woman what he did at Kitsune, after which he expediently left.

Keisuke was about to do the same (explaining what he did, that is) when Mayumi went close to the woman and then she suddenly.

"Ah... well. So much for that," Keisuke said, leaning back slightly. He quickly finished what was left of his food and stood. Fishing out his wallet, he grabbed a handful of bills and placed them in Mayumi's hand. He didn't know what the meal costed, but he made an estimate and then doubled it.

"Don't worry about the change, that'll be my gift to you," he said, winking.

Then he left, heading back to save Ryouji-kun for the flood of customers that was surely in EDaMame right now.

Pff.

"Ah... hah," Nao breathed as the man introduced himself. This was all super weird and unfamiliar and Nao was having a hard time dealing with it. She could feel her temples slightly, sort of the same feeling as when she was around loud noises. There was nothing to make noise here, of course, but she could feel it all the same.

"Um, excuse me then, I'm technically on my break and I... I, well. I feel like refueling, so, um. Excuse me," Nao managed to rattle out, before leaving the shop.

She headed for the Flower Paradis.

Entering the shop, she looked for the nearest employee, which in this case was Mayumi.

"Coffee. Black. Now."
I'll get a post up as soon as I'm done my homework.

CALCULUS IS FUN. HELP

Just as Nao put the last of the shipment in its proper place, she heard someone talk at her from behind her.

I'm busy! Who the hell in their right mind would-

As she turned around though, that thought died in her mind. She was staring down a tall man looking just like a general out of a war movie. She locked eyes with him only for a few seconds before she looked away.

"Ah sorry. No, I haven't seen anyone like that," she said, trying to stop her voice from from shaking. Trying and failing.

She cleared her throat, looking down at the box the books had arrived in.

"Excuse me," she said, taking the box and moving it to the garbage bin. She threw the box, as well as her empty coffee cup, in the bin.

She wasn't equipped to deal with this, man.

Another coffee sounded really good right now. Like, right now.

"Ah, a ramen will be fine, then, thanks," Keisuke answered, nodding. As Mayumi turned around and headed toward the kitchen, Keisuke's eyes lingered on her butt for a bit.

He blinked twice, before turning back to Ikki.

"Ah, yeah... it's a niche, I know. But I don't mind it really. I'm closer to my customers because I have a small but regular customer base. I can't complain about that really. But yeah, come check us out. You might be surprised."

Soon, Mayumi came back out with the ramen. Keisuke clapped his hands together, said a quick "itadakimasu" and began to eat. As he ate the noodles, he savored the flavor.

This is almost as good as specialty ramen shop ramen, I'm surprised.

As he was eating, Ikki asked him a question about his shop.

"Oh, my store? The store itself is new, but I've been doing something similar for a while now," Keisuke explained. "What about you?"

"Manga and anime store you say?" Keisuke said as he sat down, "Ikki-kun, is it? I think we'll get along just fine."

He looked back up to Mayumi.

"I'm not particular to anything, really. Something light, I'm not really that hungry. Whatever is fine for you is fine for me," Keisuke told her, flashing her a smile.

"Ah, sorry, I haven't even introduced myself, have I?" Keisuke continued, looking at the both of them, "I'm Keisuke. Himura Keisuke. I run the music store down the hall, it's called EDaMame. We specialize in showcasing electronic music, especially lesser known artists. I guess you could say it's a passion of mine."

Keisuke had to really stop himself from rambling on about the subject. At least until he knew Ikki better. After all, even though it was a break, he was still technically working, and a bit of professionalism was required when dealing with coworkers.

He tapped his foot quickly, resisting the urge to ask Ikki if he like anime remixes.

After a busy morning of shelving books and making sure everything was in order, even amongst the spatter of customers that had found themselves amongst the isles that she, rather surprisingly, hesitated to call sanctuary, Nao found herself sitting in the back office, sitting and sipping her coffee while reading her book. Black, of course. No sugar or cream for her. She had reached a break in the story, a part where nothing much was happening in the book, and so wasn't as annoyed as she could have been when the manager opened the door.

"Fukui-san, sorry, we just a late shipment and..."

Oh for f-

"Sorry, Fukui-san, but can you get those shelved as well? I'll, uh... ask Tsukino-san to help you to and..."

"No, that's not necessary, thank you," Nao replied, a hint of irritation in her voice. She stood, closing her book and letting it hit the table beside her with a bang. At this, the manager sighed inwardly. Nao was a handful, but as long as she did her job, she was fine.

Nao moved to the front of the shop, where a small box was found. She sighed, before opening the box. Thankfully the shipment was small, so the work would be minimal.

It still didn't change the fact that she had to work during her break. She fiddled with the coffee cup in her hands.

And now she needed more coffee. Christ.

"Good work, Ryouji-kun," Keisuke said, clapping the smaller boy on the back.

"Ahh... huh... yeah, thanks," Ryouji replied.

Now that the morning rush had finished, Keisuke had the time to sit back and relax.

Well it was a morning rush as it could be for a niche shop such as his. Enh, Keisuke wasn't bothered too much by it. He still had a small but loyal customer base, and honestly he kind of preferred it that way. He felt like he was closer to his customers that way. In fact, there were these two cute girls who-

"Boss?" a voice called, snapping Keisuke out of his reverie.

"Huh? Oh, Ryouji-kun, what is it?" Keisuke said, turning toward the boy.

"Boss, if you'd like, you can take a break now. I'll hold the fort," Ryouji replied, pushing up his glasses.

"Ah, yeah. Thanks, Ryouji. You really are a lifesaver," Keisuke said.

Well that was a bit of an exaggeration, really. Keisuke enjoyed his job, so he wasn't really in need of a break. But he was feeling a bit peckish, and Ryouji was the type of person who wanted to be helpful.

"I'll buy something for you to eat, if you want," Keisuke continued, but Ryouji simply shook his head.

"I'm fine," he simply said.

Keisuke nodded, and exited the store just in time to see a girl dragging a boy by the wrist toward the bathrooms.

Damn, that girl had some nice... uh... assets.

Pushing that out of his mind for now, he headed in the direction of the Flower Paradis. He was hungry, and he wanted to see if this cafe was any good.

"Hello!" Keisuke said, as he entered the cafe.

"And hellooooo..." he repeated, as he laid his eyes on Mayumi.
My thoughts exactly. It's barely been a day since the break period started; some of us don't have time to post multiple times a day, or even once per day.
Jesus, I didn't even have time to write up a post.
