Never Back Down (MMA RP)

Hey guys! While I'm going to try and not be too biased on which styles you use, it's really much more realistic and practical to study 1 or 2 styles! For example, it'd be better to choose between a striking or a grappling art if you're a freshman or 2nd year, and maybe be proficient in two at junior, and learn a third if you're a senior.

Diego listened to what the guards had to say while he was being freed from the uncomfortable restraints he had just spent the last few hours in. It felt great to feel some sort of "freedom, if you could really cal it that. "King?" He began to look around and tried to see who this inmate was. Relief washed over him when he saw an older man walking over to Cell 02. "He doesn't look like to type to pick any fights, but I'll be watching him. Could be a fuckin' nutcase for all I know." Diego waited a bit before following after his new cellmate. He tried his best to remain alert the entire time. He'd heard of how bad prison could be, and honestly, he preferred to stay on his toes always rather than find out the hard way.
As he approached the room, he heard a laugh that sounded almost demented in a way. "Of course I would get stuck with a damn loon!" He entered the room trying his best to act normal, as not to upset his new cellmate. He'd have to sleep in the same room every night, so he preferred it if things stayed non hostile. "King, I take it? I think you can already guess who I am...I see you've claimed the left, so I'll just get comfortable over here to the right." Diego then began to fold his clothes the way he prefers and tucked them away under his bunk.

"Please tell me this is a dream...please.." Diego sat with his hands cuffed, on a bus filled with inmates, to what appeared to be his worst nightmare. Why? Why of all prisons did he have to be sent here to Oz? "Eight years? Who the fuck are they kidding? I'll end up with a lot more time here considering the kinda shit I'll have to do to survive..."
Once stopped, Diego slowly rose and began to trudge his way out of the bus and find his place in line. He tried not to look around too much and began to space out while looking at his feet. "So I guess this shit's real..." he quietly whispered under his breath. This was definitely reality. This was his life now.

History: Diego isn't some special snowflake with a dark past. He's just a guy with a really bad temper and bad judgement at times. You'll never see someone get in his face or cross him with him just letting it be. Well one day he made a stupid decision and ruined his life; all in just 4 minutes. See, Diego is a fighter. The kind that'll dismantle mostly anyone that doesn't have the type of training he's received throughout his life.

At age 5, Diego begged his parents to enroll him in Karate classes. After about a year, they finally gave in and took him to get signed up. He excelled for years and eventually became interested in other arts. Once he was 14, he decided to start training mixed martial arts. He devoted himself to each one of the disciplines available to him in order to truly be prepared for any type of unarmed combat, be it in competition or another type of fight. Eventually by the age of 21, he had earned his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, black belt in Judo, 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, became a capable wrestler, and amassed the most skill in a Dutch Muay Thai style wich combines boxing with Muay Thai. Now, even though it was well known that he was studying martial arts growing up, Diego still had to deal with his fair share of bullying. This probably had to do with the fact that he was always the shortest and even at age 21, he still barely breaks 5'5". As a result of the constant ridicule from his size, he developed into quite the hot head by the time he was an adult. He was a pro MMA fighter before his sentencing, but he had yet to make it to the "big time".

One day while on his way back home from training, Diego was fuming as usual from road rage. This would finally be the day that Diego fucked up. Angry at a man who had just cut him off, Diego waited until they were both stopped at a red light to get out of his car and go get in the other driver's face. The other man readily accepted Diego's challenge with a smug look on his face. He probably thought it would be a sure win because of Diego's size. Big mistake. Over the course of four minutes, Diego beat the man senseless and decided to break a few of his limbs as well once he could no longer fight back. Realizing what he had done, he fled back to his apartment and just sat at his kitchen table until the authorities came beating his door down to arrest him.

Dude I used to RP on Gaia too when I was about 10. I'm 20 now. About a month or so ago I logged onto there and indeed you are right. Hella wack. So fucking wack that it hurts. Not the place I enjoyed as a kid lol. Luckily I found this forum to RP again.
