@Aisling Toma cuddled close to Dracula, and both of them soon fell asleep.
It was a calm night with no nightmares for both of them.

The next morning, Dracula was the first one to wake up. "Good morning," he said to Mystique.

@Aisling Dracula laid down next to Toma, and Toma smiled. "Good night," he said to Mystique.

@Aisling Dracula gave Toma a kiss. "You should try to sleep a bit..."
"Will you sleep next to me?" Toma asked Dracula.
Dracula went out and asked a nurse whether it was okay to do that. Then, he returned with some night clothes. "The nurse allowed me to sleep next to Toma," he said to Mystique.

@Aisling "He's awake now," Dracula said to Mystique and pet Toma's hair again. "My sweet little boy..."

@Aisling After a little while, Toma woke up.
"How are you?" Dracula asked.
"My chest hurts..." Toma answered.

@Aisling Dracula sat down next to Toma and pet his hair. "My little warrior."

@Aisling Almost exactly an hour later, Toma was taken to a room in the PICU.
Dracula went to him immediately. "He's out of the OP now. Everything went well."

@Aisling "An hour, if everything goes well," Dracula answered.

@Aisling Dracula sighed. "Yes..."
Ioan teleported them to the Children's Heart Center, where a doctor examined Toma.
"He needs to have a pacemaker," the doctor told Dracula. Then, he informed him about all the risks and benefits of the surgery.
Dracula signed a few papers. "He'll be taken to the OP now. He needs a pacemaker," the Count said to Mystique.

@Aisling "He's been awake all the time," Dracula answered. "He wasn't unconscious."
