Zach was relieved to finally be getting out of here. Although he was concerned that they had lost track of Daphne.
“Right, boat duty.” Zach muttered, focusing on the task at hand. He moved towards the dock, and inspected the boat. It was old, dilapidated, and run down. This thing definitely would not run without a little magical assistance.
“I don’t suppose you would happen to know anything about boat mechanics eh?” He asked Kassy, although he wasn’t expecting an answer.
“Alright, let’s do this.” He rubbed his hands together, then stuck them out and focused.
“Trats enigne!”The engine made a noise, then sputtered out.
“Ugh, are you kidding me?!” He let out an exasperated sigh.
“Ok, you old rust bucket, let’s try this again…” He muttered.
“Krow dna no nrut enigne!”The engine made another sound, almost like a faint hum, but still wasn’t there yet.
Zach rolled his eyes.
“You’re really testing my patience here… Alright, I’m only going to do this one more time! Cigam htiw pu rewop enigne!”The engine sputtered, then came to life with a low, steady hum.
Zach grinned, relieved, but a little concerned that it was so difficult to get that thing started.
“Finally! Now, just stay alive long enough to get us out of here.”
