Kael considers the information. Of course, he had no idea what a Fractel Allineator whatsit was, but chances were slim that he'd get a description now, and high that someone else would know it when they saw it. Otherwise, this job seemed...well, more in line with his talents than walking the streets did, anyway. He also has a feeling that Aesch's knight seemed like a decent fellow, a rare thing around here it seemed. Even if he was less experienced with those "slugs" than his sadly and violently departed partner. Which brought to mind...he hadn't seen the girl with the magic orbs anywhere since they landed...or the self-sacrificial boy. Oh. Blood everywhere...and it isn't just Hiecro's. Kael elected to not think about that too much. At all.
"Sir, are there any other hostiles currently inside the university besides Dr. Leona, and can you guarantee the security of the perimeter?"
A map might also be good...he'll ask for that next.

Kael keeps his hands well away from his bow, or anything else weapon-like for the new man's benefit...a meaningless gesture of course, since he could access them just as quickly either way, but still. Friendliness. "I don't want to be here. My name is Kael, I'm the student of the Ranger Cruallassar, I don't know why I'm here or where here is, and only have a vague idea of how I got here...but I would really like to know these things, or to go home. Whichever comes first, I'm not picky. And if going home means doing whatever these other people are here to do, then that is fine by me. It's nice to meet you...I hope."
Just in time...

Kael gets his bearings, looking at the new people...then at Donny. "Don't kill them...him...them any more...let's no one kill anyone. I've seen more people killed in the last hour than in my entire life, let's not try adding to it." He looks at the debris of their arrival and sighs. Life is being more confusing by the second.
So Amelie is dead and Fortune can't help that... alright.

So who's left alive in the slug? @Terminal

I believe the remaining occupants are Kael, Hiecro, the male knight without his shield, Fortune himself, our beloved Donny, Andy and Ariett.
Similarly, I have no idea what Kael might be able to do in the situation of hurtling toward his doom. He doesn't understand anything anyone else is saying, has no magic that can help, and no training regarding this method of travel. When people travel by magic in his realm, they tend to use teleportation, not man-cannons.
Additionally...if I can do more than I know, but don't know it, then it seems to have the same effect as not being able to do anything other than by accident or instruction.

Kael continues to do nothing. Apparently these knights weren't the mages responsible for their own magic...they barely had any idea how it worked themselves, and couldn't agree between the two of them. Of course, if his mentor were here, he could do any number of things in this situation...not least be assuredly the one most likely to survive the experience. But the elf ranger wasn't here, which meant that Kael was now at the mercy of someone managing to figure out how to not die, assuming they were in fact in danger of dying, which didn't seem certain either.
Two options then. Either wait in as calm a manner as possible, or...well, Kael wasn't stupid enough to consider any other options, actually.
@Terminal

Kael very much does NOT move, as ordered. Moving seems, in fact, like an impressively bad idea by every definition of the words under the circumstances...traveling at high speeds high above the ground with what is now essentially a spinning death blade only a few feet away traveling with them. He also keeps a very tight grasp on everything he is carrying...more travel hazards are undesirable.

Kael turned to the girl who'd asked him the question and the friendly knight. "From what I've been taught, I get a very different idea of being within the Ethereal Realm imprisoned by demons than this. I got here via dimensional magic too, but that was supposed to be my mentor giving me a practical demonstration of it...granted, he doesn't always tell me everything, but this seems very different from the expectation. Also..." He takes out the little item that was supposed to take him here and send him back, now without power. "...my ticket back doesn't work, which I don't think was part of the plan." He thought for a moment about the idea of being in the Ethereal Realm for a moment longer. It certainly wasn't that, but something was certainly freaky about this place, and not just the enormous presence watching them from somewhere.
@Terminal

Kael sent a sidelong glare in Hiecro's direction when she wasn't looking as he finished grouping up with the others, well within the cluster...as he'd been doing beforehand. Though of course, all things considered, she had tried...succeeded?...to kill him, so if the worst she was doing now was being a pig-headed Jorgumen about things, then he could live with it. He would also be sure to keep an eye on her and everyone else they ran into...he had no intention of being blind-sided again like before when that creepy vision happened. Safety did not seem present here in the slightest.
