About Species: A somewhat frail, yet idealistic species. Typically without abilities and overall seen as "ordinary" by other races.

Weapon(s):

• Farkas - Polaris's signature weapon as indicated by the fact that it is nicknamed. Farkas is a regular Ahlspeiss.
• Grappling Hook - Aside from being useful in exploration, the grappling hook is also apparently useful in grabbing enemies.
• Gauntlets & Boots - Having hand-to-hand combat experience, Polaris can hold his own without relying on weapons.
• Knife - While Polaris' knife is primarily used for hunting, this doesn't mean that it can't double as a form of self-defense.

Abilities:

• Tracking - Like most Glacerian people, Polaris is quite skilled at tracking animals. It's possible to use it for people as well.
• Hunting - Hunting is both a specialty and requirement for survival for the Glacerian people. Polaris is no exception.
• Survival Instinct - Or, in other words, intuition. Polaris has a rather strong one, especially when it comes to his own survival.
• Combat Experience - Polaris has both training and experience with polearms and hand-to-hand combat.

Reason: Loyalty to Naviance and its king. In short? It's basically his job.

Brief Personality && Biography Description: Polaris could be considered the perfect representation of his homeland: cold and distant. Hailing from the Glacerian Tribe, Polaris is not originally from Naviance despite what others might assume. Although he holds a respectable role within the king's army and is always willing to fight valiantly for the country that he presumably has come to love, he has always identified with deep-rooted Glacerian traditions and talents. Perhaps it is his foreign ways that make him so well-fitted for what he does best: fighting and exploring.

Or perhaps it has moreso to do with his beginnings. For what little early life that Polaris neglects to mention is the fact that he was orphaned at a young age due to other traits that his homeland is best known for: harsh winters and killer diseases. During his childhood, it seems that he was also stricken with a fatal disease and that he was able to survive with enough willpower and the support of those in the tribe that collectively took care of him and the other orphaned children. The survival, Polaris claims, made him to be a stronger individual overall. It may have also hastened his need to escape his homeland and before long, he found himself drifting hopelessly in search for work or a new life. Wandering for a year or so eventually landed him in the kingdom of Naviance. Before long, he found himself recruited to the king's arm, charming recruiters with his unique techniques and fighting style. It has been about eight years since then and Polaris seems to deny that any of his past is affecting his current life. It's unknown by all whether is the truth or not.

It is known, however, that Polaris has trust issues and a rather guarded nature. This does not seem to be exclusive to him, however, as his comrades occasionally find distrust for him likely due to his foreigner nature. This, of course, is despite the fact that he has been loyal to Naviance for nearly ten years now. Whatever way people perceive Polaris does not seem to matter to him as he seems generally uninterested in appeasing others and cares little for gossip. Or, rather, he cares little for talking in general and seems to be rather laconic when conversing with others. Polaris always finds it much easier to focus on a task than to discuss it and prefers to work alone. Although he won't admit it, Polaris often strives for absolute perfection with his work which is much easier said than done.

Although Polaris always takes his work extremely serious, the urgency has increased within the past month or so. Following the king's sickness, Polaris was sent off to learn more about the whispered talk of rebellion which seems to have become much louder over the past two weeks or so. Which is why it confuses him as to why he is being recruited to do something completely different instead: helping to find the cure for the sickly king. Whatever the task is, Polaris plans to get it done both for out of his respect for the king and likely because of pride reasons as well.

. . though it seems that he isn't too keen with the "traveling with other people" circumstance quite yet.

(On a serious note, no music actually "annoys me", but this is probably the song that would come closest to that point. By no means do I dislike this song or find it to be in bad taste, I just think that it is severely overvalued as well as severely overplayed.)

I plan to have my character up either tonight or tomorrow. I want to try and start the Roleplay over the weekend, but if you aren't free, then don't fret. I want everyone to know that they can post at their own convenience as I said this is meant to be a lax and laid-back Roleplay.

That being said, there are still people working on character sheets: don't any of you worry, you'll have plenty of time to finish yours and drop them in whenever. Seriously. I'm not on a time limit and none of you should be either. Just a heads up, though, I'd like to know if anyone is still lurking and plans on making a CS without saying anything. I just want to see if I should be expecting anyone new.

Same for anyone who plans on doubling up, because that's fine as well.

I need someone who has a good sense of humor and likes animals.

Otherwise, I'm not particularly picky. Obviously, I'd want the two of us to have a lot in common, but I don't generally nitpick traits. If I had to specifically search for traits, I'd look for honesty, kindness and loyalty. I think I would also need someone who would let me keep a few secrets and also allow for independence from both sides of the relationship.

I like nerdy guys and aggressive girls, too. I find both to be incredibly attractive.
