Welcome, Jack! Haha, liking Disney Fairies is nothing to be ashamed of and I'm really glad you're interested in the Rp, looks like this really might happen.

I too think the lore is really well developed and fun, Rex, and I think the better movies in the franchise are one par with regular Disney movies. The Disney Princess movies will be the main focus of the lands we visit. I think Hercules could be a bit TOO anachronistic in this Rp but A Bug's Life could certainly be worked in.

And no no, I am not scared to accept you, I just meant that you might not get as much enjoyment out of the Rp as a die-hard Disney fan but that's fine, if you're up for it I'm more than happy to have you.

Hah, pyro-cook sounds interesting, I shall enjoy meeting him.

Yes, I don't like when people expect players to devote a large portion of their time to their Rp, sometimes people feel under pressure and disappear but if the gaps between posts start to get TOO long, then people get bored. I think striking a nice balance is important to keeping the Rp alive.
Wait wait, so you're a fan of Disney Fairies, but not Disney movies as a whole? That's interesting, haha.

It's unfortunate you're not overly fan-ish for Disney, you'll miss a bunch of the little tidbits I intend to include in the Rp but I guess that'll be evened out by getting to play around with fairies. And yes, people are free to come up with their own talents and both a fire or a music fairy sound like totally reasonable concepts for talents. I kinda thought of the conductor of the animal orchestra in The Lost Treasure during the scene where the 'drama fairies' as I like to call them :P do the play about the mirror as a music fairy. Though on the Disney Fairies Youtube channel there's shorts of both Fawn and Silvermist doing similar things. Anyway, feel free to run with it.

I also really like the pyro idea. I can just see them working alongside storm fairies. Storms make the lightning and the fire fairies set stuff alight. There's a potential for really neat stuff since fire is both destructive and creative, helping things grow in its wake. I wonder if the other fairies would understand that.

As for posting frequency, I hope for this Rp to be slow but steady, meaning I don't need daily posts but every few days on a regular basis would be great. I'm thinking about a three day period max between posts under normal circumstances, any more than a week without word and I'll start asking questions. So yes, a relaxed pace (in my opinion, anyway) but regularity is the key to not getting bogged down.

Anyways, I hope for at least one more person but I think at this point I'll begin the groundwork for the OOC page since I intend for it to be a bit more thoroughly written than this one.
Yes, I guess that each story arc would be pretty different in scope and now that you've asked us to break it down like that and I've actually thought about it, I guess Gwen's could really be done in one hit as well.

Basically, she'd reach 'fully healed' status and reveal to herself and others whether she is or is not human and then the aftermath of that revelation would pretty much happen immediately. Either she'd make a play to reclaim her father's estate or ...not, if it turns out she's actually just a program.

I guess I just imagined her step mother's goons showing up and attacking her directly or hacking attempts affecting her actions in battle and stuff and didn't want those scenes to steal away from other's story arcs. And I also thought maybe she'd just get fed up of waiting and make smaller, less successful attempts at taking down her stepmother like breaking into the mansion and stuff.

Maybe the place for these smaller, personal side-stories would be the downtime posts, where everyone leaves the HQ to go and do their own thing. That way it wouldn't require everyone's input but if someone wanted to join in and come to their aid or something, they could make interesting little interludes to set stuff up for later, instead of giant enemy organisations allied against one of our characters suddenly springing up when it's time for their arc.
Woo! Dancin' in the OC thread!

I guess I should work on writing my character out in CS format. I'm gonna keep it pretty simple so there'll be more interest to be had in revealing stuff come RP time.
Oh, wonderful! I know Disney is popular but the Disney Fairies is quite the niche little fandom it seems. It's great to have someone interested!

I haven't had a chance to get my hands on any of the books, but I've seen all of the movies and read a comic. I've heard that the novels are really great and for me, too, the Disney movies are a religion unto themselves.

Anyway, now that I've got another person in, I'm trying to convince a friend of mine to join, he loves Disney but isn't sold on the fairy thing, if I can get him and then at least one other person, we could make this happen. I was hoping for five including me, but four could make it work.
So that makes Gwen's story arc fifth? That totally works for me, since I wanted her to become associated with being inside Richard for a good while before being healed and I want to deal with her doubts on her own reality and stuff first so that gives me a good long while to build that up.

So will we be going through each character's story arc from start to finish in that order? Or doing portions of them to a good stopping point before moving to the next player's turn? It's just that, while finishing off a story arc will lead to great character development and all, they'll then be pretty much done with a great big portion of their story in one hit, instead of all of our characters developing at a similar rate as each of their arcs complete simultaneously. I'm fine with either, it's just a thought I had.

And as for your 'smelly' comments, sir, I'll have you know that Richard's innards are completely hygenically maintained and kept sanitary at the cellular level. I think mister handy wipes would be considered dirty compared to Gwen's living quarters.
Maybe Elijah should be the one sealed inside a robot? No germs in there.
Woohoo! Accepterated! Gosh it feels like forever since the interest check, I'm so excited to get this going!

As for the living arrangements. Although I feel like it may be awkward to write at first, I vote for NOT living at the base. It will give us the opportunity to write about our character's private lives and it's not like superhero level threats would be going on often enough to warrant a 24 hour staff, is it? Or am I underestimating the 'evil never sleeps' thing?

I thought that, being a character driven Rp, we'd want downtime at the base so our characters weren't only interacting during crisis situations but that can come later if they move into the base further into the Rp.

At the very least we can just post something like 'okay, the crisis is over, everyone go home to bed' and then pick up the next time there's a disaster. I just think it'll be an interesting dynamic, separating the heroes from the people behind them.

So yes, to reiterate, I vote for not living at the base.
Hrm, I'd always imagined our characters living at their base, Teen Titan's esque. I mean, won't most of the action and interaction take place or be launched from there? Or were you intending to have everyone post about what they do during their own time, too? I guess that could be pretty interesting and lead to good character development. If it doesn't work out, you could always just have someone bring up the idea to move into the base later, would make much more sense than doing the reverse.
