Also started replaying Dishonored for the first time since 2012-3. Still love the world and atheistic. Stealth route is not as satisfying but more fulfilling.

I started playing through XCOM 2 for the first time since Feb. There's a lot of BS still going on, but it's addictive as ever.

For genetic disversity, shouldn't It be both? The Chaos of Life would need more to keep things interesting in every species, right?

Heh, yeah, I just thought about "Why not both?". So yeah, my suggestion would be to give pregnancy to all. It'll be the children's choice whether it's painful or not, and how much time it lasts.

And/or just populate the world with more stuff.

Alrighty. Thx for letting me know. I personally am going through the CS's submitted just to really see the personalities of the others, and ideas for abilities. Also, I have a question:Do the spheres of influence gain or lose power/strength due to the current state of the realm of mortal existence? Like, for Technology, in the early ages of Humanity, there wouldn't be all that much to work with or bother to tinker with. The possibilities weren't explored all too much yet, so would that make Technology limited in Strength/Abilities?

The problem with picking very specific gods like the God of Tech is the fact that you may have nothing to do for long stretches of time, however picking the right abilities can make your God relevant in any situation, but, again, I do not recommend such specific God.

And a general note: I think humans shouldn't be hand-fed with the God's gifts but rather should invent things (slowly at first, obviously) - unless you want to make some sort of paradise for everyone, in which case the "morally questionable" Gods should start working faster...

Finnos is going to make more humans.

Or, you know, give them the gift of pregnancy.

I personally find this entire idea very interesting overall. I kinda feel like it would challange my own creativity to be able to handle the power that a god would have properly, and would like to say that I still have to actually go through everyone's posts and IC posts, but if I feel I could keep up, I'm going to apply. Just wanted to let you guys know, because I'm weird like that. And if possible, if I DO decide to apply, I'll most likely take Technology, and if wanted/need electricity as an extension of Technology due to the need for power for said Tech. Just a possibility however, I'd just go for Tech usually. Anyways, Good Day (For if I do have a character, it will most likely be at least dusk by the time he's ready)!

Hey there, yes, there's a lot of OOC posts and discussion to catch up to, but I believe you can just read the IC posts and get the gist of it. Right now the PCs are trying to build the universe. Well, most of them are. Just post a CS if you wish to join sometime.
GM Post

The man and woman are completely overwhelmed by the amount of spirituality appearing in front of their eyes. They bow down and give their gratitude for each God that appears in front of them - not forgetting Synn's questionable gift of "Freedom", however - and then continue in their journey to find food, always coming back to Human, Balsis's new lake, to drink. One might say it has become their shelter - although they have no roof to protect them. They are growing tired of scavenging for food, but the promise of immortality comforts them.

They are both terrified every time Slatera's "impure" bird dances above them - it looks terrifying. Then again, they've yet to learn how to hunt the "birds" flying around the Earth, let alone cook or generate fire.

It is now around noon.

can we control the humans as NPC? or do you control them?

You can "create" and control an NPC to your liking (i.e. making a prophet) but you cannot control a whole group (i.e. making them create a nation). Basically you can nudge an individual to do something, but the whole will decide on its own.
About humanity again: Did we create a human, or many?

And eventually, I expect Slatera to corrupt these humans into committing the first murder.Perhaps Slatera corrupted Synn during their own creation.

...And Balsis will be mad.

The Gift of Control and Free Will has been bestowed upon men.

Yeah, I liked it quite a bit, too. I thought questionably moral Gods would be hard to play and thus lose their purpose and might, but you played it masterfully.
Balsis's expression turned from intrigued to enraged. "Defy their creators? You're letting all that is roaming upon the Earth your approval to rebel against us creators? You are not hurting the innocent or destroying creation, at least not yet, so I will not prosecute you, but if I find one hint of harm or terror against our creation, you will be, I can guarantee you that."

"I need to check on the Earth. I've made my point here." Balsis teleported to the Earth, looking with a smile at his children's creation. But at one of the deserts, Balsis sees, at the corner of his eye, a creature that resembles him, walking aimlessly in the desert. "He must be the manifestation of the Gods, a creature smarter than all, capable of great things!" Balsis thought. "I shall reveal to him and tell him of his goal and call it 'Man' for it is a manifestation of us Gods."

And the Man heard a voice from above. "Human!", the voice shouted from above. The Man turned looked up, his skin whitened. "Fear not, my child, for I am Balsis, the Father of those who created you, for you are the smartest and most skilled of the animals. Your world is as yours as ours, and you shall worship us and build large communities and live in peace and harmony." The Man smiled and dropped on his knees. Balsis raised his voice: "But remember that if you rebel in us then your fate will be bitter!".

And the Man nodded, and Balsis materialized in front of him, and Balsis waved his hand up and down, and miraculously, a small body of sweet water appeared right in front of the two. "Here, my child drink, for this body shall be called 'Human' for the first human who had drunk from it."
Then Balsis disappeared while the Man was drinking...

I'm curious, but what would define the end of 'creation'?

When everyone agrees that they've nothing left to do or when Balsis says 'enough'. Then we go into the micro-management of humans.

TLDR for those joining us now: Yes, humans exist. Yes, they have knowledge. Yes, I need to NPC them sometime.
