Exploring Kalos

"Both of Viola's pokemon have fainted!" shouted the announcer. "Olli and Kjolmar win!". Olli ran to his chimchar which was badly hurt. "Chimchar buddy you did good, thank you" He said before returning Chimchar to his pokeball. He walked over to Viola who handed both Olli and Kjolmar the Bug Badge. Olli looked at the gleaming badge and smiled. This felt amazing, the feel of overcoming gym leaders was one he had forgotten but one he had loved. He shook Viola's hand, before turning to Kjolmar. "Good battling out thee buddy, thank you. I wouldnt have made it if you didnt warn us about the ice. Well Done" Olli then outstreched his hand towards Kjolmar.

Tour de Kalos

I knew it was a WIP but it was still enough for me to accept. However I feel anyone being a cannon including Zoroak would be slightly worrying. Anyway welcome aboard, however we need more people, if we dont get at least 4 people join, I will probably class this as a failed thread.

I hope it takes off though as I thought this would be quite a unique idea.

Seeing the ice start to freeze the floor of the gym, Olli turned to his Chimchar desperatly. "Chimchar buddy, we need you. Use ember on the oncoming ice to melt it!". Chimchar looked up to see the ice approaching, he fixed his position and produced flames in the direction on the oncoming attack. A mist appeared in the gym and as it started to pass the gym floor was covered in a layer of water.

Surskit started moving extremely fast on the watered floor due to its ability. "Surskit's Swift Swim makes in faster on water, be careful Kjolmar.". Olli turned his focus to the Viviliion who was still injured from the previous attack. Viola yelled "Vivillion, Razor Wind!" and Vivillion flapped its wings creating a cresent which fired towards chimchar. Olli knew fire moves were weaker with the water around, but he had to react fast. "Chimchar jump over the Razor wind and use fury swipes!" Chimchar just in time jumped over the incoming blast and onto the Villion which it repeatedly clawed at. The Vivillion hit the floor and Chimchar bent to his knee, seriously injured from the fight. "How you doing Kjolmar?"

Olli looked at the boy who threw out a Froakie and smiled. "Oh, I'm good" He said.

In front of him appeared Viola's Surskit and Vivillon. Kjolmar had stated surskit's advantage over chimchar and was right. "Ok, We will focus on Vivillion! Chimchar use Flame Wheel!" He shouted. Chimchar stood up and flared up from the tail, after a second he rolled at high speed towards Vivillion hitting it and bouncing to the floor. Chimchar stood and smiled, however Vivillion used gust and Chimchar was sent crashing across the battlefield. Trying to get to his feet chimchar stumbled but Olli knew that Vivillion was hurt even worse and one more attack could win the fight.

Hey guy's, I'm DankDutch (No i'm not Dutch) and I formally went under St.Jimmy in the old guild.

So the concept for this came to me after playing Pokemon X for the first time. I loved the french theme of Kalos and the overall region is amazing, however I didn't want to just run through it as normal trainers having a typical journey. My idea is that all of us would be 'A-List' trainers, either famous or well respected, this you can decide and tie within your own backstory. This can be anything from winning a regions pokemon leauge, reigning champions, famous pokemon trainers (Ash for example, however I will not allow cannon CS's.). With this in mind, all of them receive invitations to the Tour de Kalos, which is a race around Kalos to obtain all gym badges, and defeat the elite four. The first person to do so will become the Kalos region champion and win the Tour de Kalos. For anyone who hasn't worked this out, the idea was based off the Tour de France which is a bike race around France, (Now you see how it fits).

So for some basic guildines to bare in mind when working on a CS.

- I will only accept one Kalos Born Entrant however obviously they must be inexperienced enough not to have any Kalos region badges, because that defeats the object.

- Back story is more important in this RP than others due to you having already made a profile for yourself, everyone else who participates can read this to inform them of your character, this way we can talk freely about that each others history without having personally been there as you would be able to read it up. So be creative and don't try and be a powerhouse character. In other words, dont make out that your unbeatable, every trainer loses sometimes.

- Due to having already made a big achievement, each trainer can have up to 6 pokemon, However they may only start with one. These pokemon can be evolved and have no limit other than YOU MAY NOT HAVE ANY ONE OF A KIND POKEMON. Yes no legendaries. Other than that go wild and be imaginative, take in to account region specific pokemon and any you may have acquired over the way. You start the race with only one pokemon that pokemon will be your race partner, however the other five are in your Box. These 5 give you room to move in accordance to the story and you will be able to swap out your race partner to one of these pokemon at any time. You may only have one of your original six as a race partner and may only have one of them on your team at any time. You are free to catch pokemon in Kalos along your journey and use them in your team.

- This is a new concept so you have to have leniency towards it otherwise it will die like alot of other threads of this genre. There is nothing stopping you from grouping up along the way and making friends/rivals. I'd prefer them to encounter alot, rather than them running around solo, lets make it interesting.

Exploring Kalos

Olli walked into the doors of the first gym in Kalos. This felt nostalgic, Olli hadn't been in a gym in a while. He had alot of time to unwind of his long journey from sinnoh and the thought of going back to battling had him overwhelmed with excitement. With his Chimchar on his shoulder for support he entered the foyer of the gym. Art work and photography of bug type pokemon scaled the walls, it was almost like an exhibition. Olli started to walk round the room, viewing the pictures as he went. Shortly after a girl walked in to the gym who proceeded to do the same, but still no sign of any gym leader.

After a few minutes another trainer burst through the doors, finally emerging from a passage behind one of the photo frames, Viola the Santalune City gym leader appeared. Seeing that there was three challengers she proposed a battle in which two trainers would fight her simultaniously. The girl trainer stepped down and it was left to Olli and another trainer. "Sure thing" Olli joked. He turned to the chimchar on his shoulder and nodded. Chimchar then jumped onto the group in front of him, posing himself ready for battle. Olli turned to the girl trainer who stood to the side. "Hey, how about you referee?"
