Personality:
Generally a serious presence, Maiko, whilst not exactly a downer, isn't the bubbliest person in the world. Excellent in languages and gymnastics, she's had a lot of pressure put on her from a young age, and although she's loosening up away from her parents, she's still got a while to go before she can totally relax. In airsoft though, she's a different person entirely, moving ruthlessly and quickly, and gunning down even her friends without considering their feelings. Still, she's a good sport should she get hit, and those that play against her find her brutal but fair.

Still, in a competition between 'tomboy' and 'girly girl,' the latter wins out every time. Her favourite colour is 'pale red' (pink,)although she'd never admit it she loves complicated dresses, and she still keeps a teddy near her bed. She'd never admit any of this to most people, of course, but it can show through sometimes, much to her embarrassment.

Background:
~I'll be honest, it wasn't the most relaxing childhood...
From a pretty young age, Maiko had a lot of pressure put on her. She was the result of her parents finally resorting to IVF, and despite many other tries, she was the only kid they could have. Wanting to mould her into the girl of their dreams, the two very wealthy parents piled on all of their expectations and hopes, filling her spare time with extra curricular activities and extra lessons, much to her dismay.

Whilst not exactly a free spirit, she didn't respond too well to all of the pressure put on her, and always looked for little ways to steer things her own way; from buying her own airsoft gun and taking part in competitions (much to her parent's chargrain,) to ditching extra science lessons in favour of as many languages as she could cram in, and today she can fluently speak Arabic, Japanese and English, as well as French, German, Mandarin and Afrikaans less well.

She wasn't able to entirely avoid her parent's influence however, and she was forced into doing a large amount of gymnastics; she's had to compete in regional and even a few national competitions.

Pretty much this, but that's why I said you'd know general stuff from the Primer, as well as propoganda and so forth - nothing all that useful, really. Sure though, if you want to actually read it, then Damocles Edition is fine.

I only say it because the Damocles edition has 'facts' about the Tau and the Tau empire.

Angelika had gone through numerous drops over her lifetime. Because of this, she had a specific ritual that she went through before contact for the first time. Slowly, she ran a cloth over her flamer, before screwing in the fuel connector. Then, she ran the wiring from her eye down to the specialist port just below the handle of the flamer. She sighed as it went in, her vision temporarily obscured by lines of coding, before she felt the strange sensation of her body connecting with the machine, making it feel weightless and as easy to manoeuvre as her arm or leg.

Then, she drew her laspistol and clipped in the power bank for it, checking as the power level ticked up. She set the damage output to it's maximum, knowing that if she had to resort to the gun, she would need the extra 'umph.' She clipped her lasgun to her side, then reaching behind her to unclip her new chainsword, revving it a few times to make sure it would work.

Lastly, she pulled out her autoinjector and removed the morphine vial, replacing it with a white liquid, Stimm. Made you better, faster, stronger, although you could OD very easily. She clipped the new vial in, listening to the pneumatic hiss as the injector accepted it, before rolling up her sleeve and punching three holes in her arm with the syringe.

"Alright boys and girls. Time to do what we get paid for."
