Current The hidden benefit of wearing 8 rings total? They double as a pair of brass knuckles in case you get into a fight.

Just as we would turn around and condemn or laugh at our ancestors for their barbarism, our descendants will do the same.

I'm happy with participating in a single RP - Something tells me I'm the only one?

In Batam for a month after quitting my job. Been powering through my writing since. I guess this is where I call myself a full-time professional writer.

Finally, I've added the sample post. Enjoy! (or not)

Is my character fine? Or does she still need work?
Alright, gotcha. I'll probably tuck in after I get a good read on most of the characters. They're interesting enough that I must read them before sleeping. I'll get the sample up tomorrow.
I'm still working on the sample scenario though. :( But it's getting late.
Yeah, that's the readme thing I was referring to. I guess I forgot it was called the Read This. I've read it, don't worry about it, along with everything in the first three posts and then some. Trying to get to know the other characters.
Oh, you mean the Mackery Report and the Readme thing at the bottom too? Yeah, I've read them before considering, and I like the looks of it. Just gimme an hour or two to polish my CS up and I'll be good :)
Hi guys... I came to this forum to figure out that the whole thing was wiped out. Haven't been on for a long time though, thank God, which means my last RP died a long time ago before this happened ha (or heh... :( depending). Anyway, I have an idea for a slightly different character from the rest :) Enjoy! Or not :D

Here's the sample post: Valentina was terrified. She had been tugged and pulled by the human current flowing down the street, and it was getting late. Worse of all, she'd lost her family. Together, the Vetrovs had figured to celebrate the the preview of 'Sharks Below the Line', Valentina's film debut, by shopping around before entering the grand cinema. They were walking past and looking over several stores when the crowd grew thick and before she knew it, she'd lost sight of her family.

Running and squeezing past the crowd, she'd tried looking for them, but they were nowhere to be found, as if the Fairy Godmother had taken them back - unbeknownst to her, she had gone past them, her sight blocked by the river of people. Valentina had gone downstream when her parents and siblings were standing by a store, waiting for her. For the first time in a long time, fear gripped the young girl as she ran quicker, and faster, afraid that she might be falling behind quickly, faster, and that she might lose her family, and happiness forever.

For the first time in a long time, tears were falling down her cheeks as she could not wake from this living nightmare, the fear in her refusing to abate, reminding her of her experience with the bully, Billy - except this time there was no big brother Vertov to chase the demon away. Store after store, building after building flew past her as she searched desperately, crying and wailing. Her cream-coloured dress came slightly askew, a strap falling off her shoulder. She crouched in a corner by a store display window, the shop unabashedly already prepared for Christmas, selling happiness bottled in all forms, unaware at all of Valentina's plight.

Several curious onlookers turned their head her way, but moved along, as dead as the store Valentina sat beside. Tortured by the absence of her family, the lighthouse of her life, the girl cried without stopping, covering her face in a quagmire of sadness and yet shame for having lost her family and found herself in such a predicament - and on the day of her movie preview, no less. Then came a hand which cupped her shoulder, a strong hand. In her mind, the idea of Jesus coming to the rescue came briefly to her, no doubt a seed of faith planted by her time in church, then her father himself.

Valentina whirled around, elated that it might all be over, only to find a stranger in trenchcoat and office wear. "Valentina? Valentina Vetrov was it?" The stranger asked even though he already knew he was right. The girl could not help but to wonder how he knew her name, and it was as if the stranger could read her mind, "I'm your biggest fan! Saw the trailers and everything! Oh, and your parents are looking for you." He extended a hand, and Valentina took it, reminding her of princesses and princes for some reason.

Pushing against the current of people which Valentina was beginning to hate for separating her from her family, she and her knight in shining armour went past several shops, shops that she had previously walked past. Above the sound of heavy footsteps and chatter, faint, familiar voices caught her attention, voices calling out her name, voices that brought a different kind of tears to her eyes. As the crowd falls away, she saw him - her Daddy, in his mighty, greying beard, thick coat and boots. She ran up to him and embraced him before he knew to look down. It was over. The nightmare was over.

"Thanks, friend." The father said, shaking the hand of the stranger who assisted him, "I vould like to know the name of ze stranger who saved my daughter..."

"I'm Adam. Adam Sandler." The stranger introduced himself. "I know how it feels like, having kids of my own."

"Tell you vhat, ve have free entry passes into the grand theatre just down the road. It's my daughter's movie, see-"

"What a coincidence! I'm heading there myself..." Valentina stopped listening to the conversation between the adults. All she cared in the world was her father, and her family. It's over, and it won't happen again - she promised herself - I will never lose my family again....

I was a member a long, long time ago, and from the looks of it, in a land far, far away.

I know what happened though. I read the news. Well, I guess it's a whole new world with alot of new possibilities.

I'm Darkraven. Nice to meet you all! :)
