Rena stared at the medical supplies for a moment. It was good that Aniso spoke up, because Ren knew next to nothing regarding health and safety. In this state she probably would have ended up freaking out or fainting. Rena didn’t mind it when someone else was bleeding, but when half her own bleeping ear was off, she tended to freak out a bit. Collecting herself a bit, Rena turned towards the girl. A smooth smile spread across her face and she nodded.

“Yea I could really use the help actually.” Rena sat down on the nearest crate and tilted her head towards the girl. Looking at her arms for a moment, Rena didn’t say anything. She figured that if the Anisa wanted to share her past, she would do so on her own.

Rena suddenly gathered herself. Her eyes dried and her face steeled itself in a soft smile. Ladies did not cry. Ladies did not complain or push their burdens onto others. And she was raised as a lady! A sword fighting one… but still. She pulled her hand back from Anisa, the girl obviously didn’t want to be treated like a child. Rena’s soft expression vanished before she stared at the girl for a moment. “You heard the Capitan… Medic supplies is down below. I’m going to get it ready for whoever needs it. Come if you want, or stay in this mess.”

Rena looked around her for a moment, frowning to herself. Everyone was running around with their heads cut off, and she would have no part in it. Standing, she grabbed a pair of white gloves from her pocket and slipped them on. Without checking to see if Anisa followed, she turned on her heels and marched towards where the Capitan had said. Her sword swung from her hip, still red with blood.

Sorry, I've been SWAMPED with work/exams/more work. I'll have a post up tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Alright guys, a random thought just popped in my head but I really want to know what sorts of pets you have!

I'll start:

Aika the Airedale
A coward, and a hater of cuddling, Aika will do anything for 5 more minutes in bed. She's a bit over a year, and can't seem to grasp the concept of bringing my Frisbee back.

Aristotl the Axolotl
A sass master, Ari is no good at swimming and loves to nibble peoples fingers!

Toothless the Axolotl
A timid one, Toothless is known for jumping into the filter and not being able to get back out. He's not the brightest.

The fish

In one 15 gallon tank I have Prince the Betta, a guppy named Queen Elizabeth, Peat and Repeat the cloud tetras, Winston the Loach, and Otto the oto cat. Also a school of un named guppies because they all look the same!

Rena was stuck now with the crying girl. She truly wanted to comfort her, but the throbbing in her ear wasn’t letting her focus at all. Placing a soft hand on the girls back, she patted her gently. “It’s alright. Really no big deal. Tell you what, when we get this blasted ship off the ground, I’ll teach you to fight some? Alright?” Despite the pain and her gritted teeth, Rena was trying to do a good job at calming the girl. Any other time it would have been easy for her, she was always good with kids, but not this time. As one hand rubbed Anisa’s back, the other snaked up to touch her ear.

Ren let out a gasp. Prodding at the flesh her other hand instantly darted up to her other ear to compare. Half her ear was gone! The top inch of her perfectly pointed ear had come clean off with the bullet and all that was left was the base and some blood. Rena tried to force back tears as she knelt near the girl. Startling Anisa would do no good, so Rena let out a warm smile and silently prayed that the small one would calm down.

Wait, rereading Stars post, I just thought of something. Is Anisa hiding somewhere on the ship, in which case I would have to rewrite my post. For some reason I thought that the supply closet was on the dock somewhere... It was late at night, don't judge me!

Rena saw a girl, Anisa, duck for cover in a storage shed or supply closet or something else very unsafe and stopped in her tracks. Letting out a sigh she turned on her heels and started running to the closet, ducking under bullets or flying swords. Keeping her own sword slashing around her, kept the enemies at bay until she reached the closet. Just as she flung the doors open a shot rang out, and something loud flew past her head. Ren felt something warm dripping down her face almost instantly, and reached up a clawed hand to touch her ear. Her fingers came back bright red and caused her to gasp. Wincing she wasted no time in grabbing the girl by the scruff of her neck and picking her up to her feet, all the while spewing a stream of profanity.

“Go now! Onto the ship, I’ll cover you.” And with that,Rena pressed Anisa against her own back. As Anisa walked forward, Rena stepped back, keeping the scared girl guarded at all times. Or at least as guarded as she could with blood constantly dripping into one eye. Her sword locked with another for a moment, but Rena was in no mood for this nonsense anymore. With a wild slash, she sent the enemies blade flying through the air and over the dock. They kept along this way until they made it to the ship, but Rena wasn’t even relieved, her head throbbed.
