Pirila swiftly ducks to avoid the wooden cube thrown back at her head. She had not expected the attacker to be able to react this quickly. The telepathic shout did little to faze her though, as she'd already heard similar things before.

As she stands up again to throw something else, Pirila notices that the assailant has vanished in a bright light.

Then, Mili's crying brings Pirila's attention to her. Dropping what she was holding, she rushes over to calm down Mili. Giving her a hug, she holds the girl close until the crying dies down a bit. Mili was clearly upset. Did the attacker do something to her mind as well?

It doesn't take long however for Pirila to spot the burns on her neck. She had no idea what caused it, but it was the likely source of Mili's pain. Dragging a small box out from underneath Mili's bed and opening it up, Pirila takes out a bandage and bandages the wound while trying to calm down the girl further.

Eventually, Mili's crying turns into sniffling as Pirila manages to calm her down. "Are you alright?" She asks, and Mili shakes her head.

"what happened?" Mili manages to ask as she cautiously touches the bandage on the burns, only for Pirila to bat her hand away.

"Don't touch that, let it heal." Pirila says, sighing. "I think we need to replace the bandages again."

"...did something attack again?" Mili asks as she slowly sits up, cautiously reaching up to touch the bandages around her eye.

"Something like that." Pirila says. She wasn't going to share the details with Mili, best not to worry her. Nothing had attacked her in her sleep before, only others. Sighing, she pulls a smaller box out from underneath Mili's bed and sets it down next to Mili.

"you're going to replace them now? what about the people downstairs?" Mili asks as Pirila opens the box and pulls out a bunch of bandages. These had been blessed by a passing mage a while ago, and Pirila had taken the opportunity to store a bunch for later use.

"Yeah. They might get nightmares but that's not a big deal if it means no more attacks, right?" Pirila responds as she removes the bandages from Mili's head, unveiling the pitch-black eye that had hidden beneath it. Pirila shudders as a chill goes down her spine - a feeling everyone else in the building gets to feel as well as they too get cursed with terrible nightmares for a week by the temporarily-uncovered eye - before starting to reapply the bandages.

"Don't you think we should've had it removed when she offered to remove it?" Mili says as she tries to stop herself from trembling as Pirila reapplied the bandages. She was scared of the blessed bandages even though she knew they wouldn't harm her, and the pain coming from her neck wasn't helping her in the slightest.

Pirila groans as Mili mentions removing her eye. A while ago a girl had showed up offering to safely remove Mili's eye, but Pirila passed on the offer because it was suspicious. How did the girl know Mili's eye was causing trouble, and why was she so willing to take an item that could summon terrible creatures?

"We're not letting someone take your eye, Mili. If we're having it removed, we're letting it get removed by someone who will destroy it, not someone who will take it with them for dubious purposes." Pirila says, to which Mili responds simply by sighing.

Soon, Pirila finishes applying the bandages. Smiling faintly, she pats the younger girl on the head. "There, that should help!" She says as she pulls Mili out of her bed. "Let's go eat something, we'll see about doing something about that burn afterwards, can't really do anything right now."

Pirila sighed as she climbed up the stairs. Today was already shaping up to be an exhausting but slightly interesting day. Three complete weirdos showed up, each weirder than the last. First that guy who kept talking about Portals in Space and wouldn't stop swearing, then that guy who kept talking about Ships who somehow managed to enter through a closed door, and then that guy with the weird accent who wanted a job from the weird captain guy.

Still, they'd probably leave after the storm anyway. She'd seen her fair share of weird people in her life, like that girl with the weird eye. Of course, Mili had a weird eye too, but even Mili's eye looked slightly normal as opposed to the girl's.

But that didn't matter anymore, the girl had left as suddenly as she'd arrived, as will the three strangers. The only person that mattered was Mili.

Opening the door to Mili's room to check on her, Pirila is horrified as she sees a complete stranger looming over the girl's bed, hand at her throat. Panicking, she picks up the nearest item: a large wooden dice she found once, about the size of those wooden cubes with letters on them.

"HEY!" She shouts, hoping to draw the person's attention as she throws the dice at the assailant's head. "LEAVE HER ALONE!"

As Mili sleeps through it all, Pirila looks around for another item to use as a weapon.

Pirila took a step backwards as the stranger - Dino he called himself - somehow managed to enter the building and started blabbering about Captains and Flagships and Primitives. She had no idea what the guy was talking about though, they weren't near a sea in the slightest!

Before she could respond though, another person stepped forward to respond in some weird accent - Pirila had difficulty understanding most of it - and asking about job offers and teleporters.

Sighing, Pirila shook her head. "To answer your question, Mister Dino, my name's Pirila, and I have no idea what you're talking about. This... other person whom's name I don't know seems to know more though so I suggest talking to him instead."

After checking the door once more to see if it was still closed, Pirila turned her attention back to the newcomers. "I'll let you three converse for a while, I've got someone to check up on. So if you'll excuse me I'll be going." She said, before heading out of the room and up the stairs.

Pirila sighed as Cuna struggled to keep in the swears. It was rather... annoying, but it was probably the best Pirila was gonna get from the stranger. Still, he seemed to refuse to admit that he was an addict of sorts.

"Well, I have absolutely no idea what a 'space portal' or a 'spaceship' is if I have to be really honest. I won't hate you if you admit to having been under influence of some substance, you know?"

Then, a knock on the door. Today was apparently shaping up to be a weird day. First the swear-happy Cuna, and now some weirdo demanding for the door to be opened in his name. Either there was another addict, a raider or some other crazy person on the other side. Sighing, she moved to the door.

"Look, I'm not sure how 'peaceful' you actually are, or how you're not suffering from the ash, but I'm not opening the door since it's too risky. Come back tomorrow or something, or never if you're a raider."

She knew that, if there really were raiders on the other side, they wouldn't follow her request to never return. Still, she wasn't planning on opening the door anytime soon. And even if they weren't raiders, the risk of exposing those inside to the storm made keeping the door closed and easy decision.

And on the off-chance that it wouldn't be lethal it would still result in people being less trusting of the Station's security.
Lyullia glanced at her leg for a moment as Noru tells her to not put weight on it for a while. She knew magic could do wonders when used to heal things, but she had never seen it happen before. She also didn't expect herself to be the target of such magic, but she was thankful that they had someone who knew how to do that.

Then she turned her attention to their two 'prisoners'. She knew that there was a risk that they would be attacked, but she hadn't expected to be attacked by anything other than animals! To be attacked by others was something she hadn't expected, and it scared her. Were there other groups out to get them too?

And their problems weren't over yet. Apparently Marilyn had vanished, meaning they were immobile and thus an easy target for both more attacks by their assailants and other monsters. And there was nothing Lyullia could do about it.

Still, she knew she could at least help with the current issue. They needed something to restrain their 'prisoners', and rope probably wouldn't do too much good. So, she set to work on using her ability to create metal handcuffs and such. On their own they wouldn't do too much good except for restraining their prisoners' movements, so someone else would need to attach them to something that wasn't likely to move around.

"Here, maybe this would keep them where we want them to be better than rope would." Lyullia said, holding out what she'd made. "Though we need something to attach them to so they can't leave..."

Pirila stares blankly at Cuna as he seemingly has trouble with the 'no swearing' rule. It was obvious that he was used to swearing a lot, which made her question Cuna's upbringing.
Unfortunately for her it would be rude to ask.

Then, Cuna mentions something weird. A... 'space portal'? Pirila had never heard of something like that. So either Cuna wasn't actually from around here, or he was just another addict. The latter seemed more likely to Pirila.

"A space portal?" Pirila asks, confused. "What are you even talking about? There's nothing here but ruins and ash around here if you haven't noticed yet. Are you sure the ash isn't playing tricks on you?"
-@Zyngard-

Pirila sighs as Cuna promises to keep the swearing 'down to a fucking minimum'. She'd much prefer it to be lower than that but she knows she can't have everything, so she gives up on trying.

"You're at Phantom Point Station, Cuna. My name's Pirila and I sort of own the place. That being said though, all are welcome to take shelter here." Pirila says, waving her hand to draw Cuna's attention to the others inside while shaking Cuna's hand with her other hand.

"So, Cuna, what brings you to this place, besides your legs?" Pirila says, grinning. "Are you a trader, a scavenger or just a refugee?"
"We're under attack by... them?" Lyulia said as she looked at the unconscious Myti. She'd hoped that the attackers were wild animals of sorts, but it was obvious that wasn't the case.

"We need to help!" Lyulia said as she moved to crawl out of the bunk when the pain of the broken leg hit her, stopping her. "Do you guys have a plan?"
-@Zyngard-

As Pirila goes to close the door, something stops her. A person is approaching. She can't quite see them, but she can definitely hear the swearing as they approached. She sighed as she kept the door open for slightly longer to give the person just enough time to enter before slamming it shut.

"You got lucky there, stranger." Pirila said as she locked the door with a chain. "If you hadn't ran that fast or swore that loudly you'd have been caught outside. Though can I request you keep the swearing down a bit? Someone's trying to sleep and I'd rather have her not learn swears."

"Feel free to stay here until the storm dies down, I won't be opening the doors before that happens anyway."
