My alternate account. I.E. I am ZAVAZggg and ZAVAZggg is me. Not to sock-puppet or some shit, just so I can actually have interaction between two characters in a way that fits Myriad Reality's posting style.

*Raises an eyebrow*
You're in the old lady's tavern. Looks like you managed to get here.

*I tap a metal clad finger against my chin, my expression one of confusion and pensiveness*

I... see.

That honestly doesn't help narrow down where I've ended up. Nor when...

*Clears my throat*

If it wasn't obvious, I'm a foreigner to this land. Is there anything you can tell me about the area around this tavern perhaps? Any notable landmarks or kingdoms?
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

*You arrive in a wood-clad tavern, with me sitting at the stool and aggressively drinking while covered in blood*

*I move to take a step forward only to find myself stopped as my head bumps into one of the rafters supporting the roof above*

Ah, I always forget how small and compact humans like to make their structures. It's a good thing I hadn't been at my full height before going through the gate...

*My body shrinks itself to something more closely resembling a human in size, though I remain imposing nonetheless. Turning my attention towards you, I offer a friendly smile*

Excuse me, but I appear to be a bit lost. Could you tell me where I am by any chance?

And why I have ended up here, in a human structure of all things. Did the others intend to hide amongst them after they had fled? Or was my transportation interrupted somehow?
Wherever you want Mazius, he now is. I just wanted him to exit the gate already.
*Exits the gate, now a glowing sliver in spacetime behind me, and glances about as it slides shut*
Just leaving this here for anyone who wants to interact with Mazius. I'll have the gate lead him to wherever you are if you like.

*I wander for days, months, years. Time in the surreal hellscape that was the world I used to know barely flows, and when it does it is generally in jumbled bursts of random scenarios and events. Not nearly enough to keep track of anything by, let alone how long my journey actually lasted. At length, however, I find myself face-to-face with... it*

The fabled Gate of Estorath... I'd heard talk of such a construct during my darker days, but I never imagined they'd actually found the time or resources to complete it.

*Plants my hands on my hips as I stare up at the monolithic stone edifice*

Yet here it is. Their final failed attempt to escape me.

...

....

..........

I don't know why I bother hesitating. It's not as if there's anything left for me here anyway.

*Steps forwards but stops when I feel something grasping the heel of my boot. Lowering my gaze, I recoil in shock*

G-Ghatia?!

*I try to pull myself free as her broken and bleeding hands claw their way up my side. My breathing becomes panicked and labored in spite of my knowledge regarding the situation. Knowledge that this grim spirit, this accursed simulacrum slouched before me is nothing more than a mere fantasy.

A figment of my tormented mind*

Gah!

*My expression hardens while my lips flatten into a razor thin line. Raising my hand, I strike the vision across its face, sending golden ichor and brittle bone flying every which way*

Begone spirit! Though you may have her face, you are not her! You have no right to torment me! No right to judge me!

*I squeeze my eyes shut. When I next open them, the phantasm is gone. Dusting myself off with a huff, I turn towards the gate and step on through, eager to finally be rid of this place*

Be it heaven or hell, a Tartarus bleak and unending or an Elysium eternal, whatever lies beyond the gate is undoubtedly better than that which lies here.

*Takes a deep breath before crossing over to the other side*

*Hours pass before I painstakingly rise from my wallowing in the ash covered earth. My legs tremble for naught but a moment before my power takes over, invigorating my body and returning it to its prime state. With a silent determination I make my way back to the entrance of the ruins, my eyes narrowing as I stare out into the devastation that lay beyond*

Devastation I was ultimately responsible for...

*Glancing about, I readjust my crown so that it rests squarely upon the top of my head before striding out into the wasted expanse*

*Stares blankly at my bloodstained hands, golden ichor flowing languidly in the barren silence*

Is this what you wanted?

*I struggle to lift my gaze, my eyes unwilling to focus on the frail and altogether unnaturally small figure lying motionless before me*

I... I...

Our blood stains your hands Kinslayer, drenches them, yet you cannot utter so much as a single word in your defense...

*There is a pause as I let my gaze fall to the cracked and broken ground below*

How pathetic.

*I sit bolt upright, my chest heaving. Pressing my palm against my forehead I let out a series of shaky breaths, the weight of my crown more apparent now than ever before*

Damn it...

*Balls my hand into a fist before slamming it into a nearby wall, causing the carved stone face to fracture and flake. Withdrawing my hand, I curl up into a ball of sorts and just... sit. Silent and immovable, my mind lost in the memories of a time long since passed...*

What's that book about, if you don't mind me asking?

en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:The_36_Les… The actual information on the text.

newwhirlingschool.com And a website that actually does a good bit of theorycrafting and analysis on said fictional texts, including how they have parallels in irl spiritual and religious movements regarding themes and ideas.
Having read the 36 Lessons of Vivec, I have the idea for another character. A god running from his past and in desperate need of some resolution. As far as powers go, it'll be reality warping, but with a more mythological/fantasy spin. More magical and whatnot. Additionally, this character actually will fit the overall existential structure of the roleplay this time round.

I'd say more, but I feel that would be spoiling what could be explored IC.
