My alternate account. I.E. I am ZAVAZggg and ZAVAZggg is me. Not to sock-puppet or some shit, just so I can actually have interaction between two characters in a way that fits Myriad Reality's posting style.

I found that if you invested a lot of mana into the spell, you could force it to full-cast on its own and use the incantations for something else. And with a bit of tweaking, that let me put together a loophole that made the spell feasible to use.
*Starts to speed up*
If you use a human soul as a catalyst, you can force a natural evolution into a travel spell that exceeds that of even a global teleport. And if you set up your incantations in just the right way, you can nudge it into a feedback loop that avoids consuming the soul, and only burns the initial casting cost! Neat, huh?

It is, though that seems like a lot of work for a teleport. Although I am one to talk being a god and all...

*Leans in closer, examining the etchings in greater detail*

Hmm. Let me try something. Maybe instead of harnessing light, and paying off a cost, we could do something a bit more subtle.

*I alter the runes, the shape and its meaning becoming completely different in the process until it was naught more than a single symbol*

There! Rather than teleporting one somewhere, that symbol will enact a bargain of sorts with reality, one that allows you to transport yourself wherever you wish the moment you envision it in your mind. At least in theory anyway. These are just notes after all.

*Steps back and crosses my arms*

Anyway, what do you think?
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

Sure! But that last effect I didn't design, so why that's happening is beyond me.
*Leans over the bar and begins blueprinting golden magic lines into intricate interlacing magic circles traced on the wood grain*
This is about where I started with my idea. You have your standard incantations that I can give you if you want them, but I feel like you can figure out where I'm going with this. And it was a good start, light magic, light moves fast, all that fun stuff. But then I started to play with weaving it together with a spell for shadow travel.
*Holds my finger above the bottom-right quadrant of the circle, and a drop of anti-light falls from my fingertip onto the pattern, causing it immediately to lash out with shadow magic and change its form into thorned curves resembling rose stems*
From here, I could tell I was onto something.

*Examines the inscriptions*

Hmm. Go on.
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

I have to give Lily credit for that one. When she finished designing it, it was unlike any spell I had ever seen, and nearly killed us when we finally activated it. It's also the only spell I know of that eventually became almost free to cast.

Huh.

*Turns to Lily*

Do you happen to have any notes I could look over?
*Glances between the two of you*

I see. So one can achieve such a thing via magic then? I think I could make that work, but it could take me a while to work out the proper incantations or spells...
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

Usually we look for some kind of quest, like that fight we just got back from. Blind adventures are really dependent on the world you end up in.

Hmm.

*My expression turns pensive*

Well I suppose my next question is how you end up in other worlds then. Despite doing so myself, it's not exactly an event I can... repeat.
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

What kinds of places are you looking for? Or are you going on a blind adventure?

I... don't know honestly. I have no idea where I am presently save for a tavern, and I didn't exactly leave home with a destination in mind. I don't suppose you'd have any places in mind?
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

Not for sport. But I'll do what it takes to survive.

*Smiles*

Well there should be no issue between us then.
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

Most gods we've met haven't liked us very much. I'm glad you're an exception so far.

You're not in the habit of killing them I hope? Most gods, at least so far as I know anyway, tend to dislike that.

Sure, but you look like a god more, mmm...
*Taps my chin*
On the inside, if you catch my drift.

*Smirks, but otherwise says nothing*
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

I know exactly what you mean! I was actually just about to ask whether you were a god.

I suppose it's quite obvious though isn't it? What with the crown and all. Well and the shapechanging, healing, etcetera. At first glance I suspect others would assume me some manner of deity or a king at the very least.
<Snipped quote by Caldizar>

I'm a Lesser Ancient Spirit Analytica. Lily for short. I've seen more days than our friend Gio has.

I see.

*Scratches my chin*

I suppose you could consider me a god. It's what my children referred to me as anyway, back in my world. They weren't biological descendants of course, more constructs, but you get the point.
