Unless you love kids a little too much, then a prison sentence is what can be done about it.

Ya know, to think all this happened because Jesse defended himself from some muggers xD

And Teo just wanted a quiche.
@ZAVAZggg Jesse could deal with intense pain with little reaction, but the human body reacts to the kind of force delivered by gunshots the same way with everyone. Jesse lay on the ground stunned and a bit dazed. It was still a mystery to Jesse how Teo could withstand gunshots with so little reaction. When his body was no longer seized up, he stood as quick as he could, which was still sluggish.

“Let’s get the fuck out of here!” Jesse said, reloading his gun and using the portal as cover.

"Oh how the turns table!"

Teo made sure to keep the portal as concentrated on the oncoming gunfire as possible, though even he was starting to feel strained.

"Don't think I won't try to take you in after this though! I haven't forgotten what you've done!"
@ZAVAZggg Given the lack of public education in the apocalypse, Jesse had a limited understanding of the world. It was explained to him at a young age that the world was a giant lake and there were many islands. To his understanding, the world was a shrunk down version of what it really was. He always had too many problems to focus on geography. He wasn’t familiar with America in spite of living on it’s carcass, but knew bits and pieces of other lands, including a place called “Aurup.”

Before he could started asking questions, however, Teo described quiche. It was amazing the inventive things people could do with something so simple as eggs to him. He knew the Nobility had cooks that made elaborate meals, but the best he ever had was a “sand witch.”

“Woah...I only ever fried my eggs.” He was unfamiliar with the other ingredients in the quiche like cheese or crust.

The conversation was interrupted by lasers pointing on them from the tactical assault rifles of a SWAT unit.

“Blood soaked assailant! This is your final warning. Surrender now or we will open fire!” They had a warning for Teo as well “Suspect with the light saber, drop the weapon. You will also be taken in for drug testing.”

Just like he would normally do, Jesse drew his gun quick and shot the heads off three the swat members, when he heard a click. What followed was a hail of gunfire on not only Jesse but Teo as well. Jesse collapsed as the machine gun fire showered the ground all around him. Luckily he was wearing a bulletproof vest and the closest thing to a headshot was a bullet grazing his cheek.

Teo, complying with what law enforcement had said, deactivated the ring. Granted, it didn't seem as though they cared all that much in the end, for they opened fire on him and Jesse regardless. Reaching into his coat once again, he pulled free... a hula hoop? No, not a hula hoop, a personal portal! Raising it on high, he did his best to position it between himself and the gunfire as he hobbled away from the scene, the device sending the bullets off to god knew where.
@ZAVAZggg The expression remained on Jesse’s face.

“What is quiche?” He shouted “And what is peanut butter? Who are these cops and who commands them? How do I get out of this territory? This...Amrika?” Jesse said, having never heard of egg pies or America.

"Oh well escaping a country that's about..."

Teo began counting in his head.

"3.797 million miles squared, isn't likely to happen. If this even is America mind you. For all we know this could be somewhere in Europe or some other country, as all we have to go off of is the fact that this is, well, a town. With that out of the way though, let me tell you about quiche-"

And with that he was off, monologuing about the benefits of that oh so flaky pastry.
Okay, given it some further thought, and I think I'll withdraw interest from this. Just not feeling it honestly, though I do wish you all luck.
~Ernald Joyce~

Early Spring, 315 P.F.
Paterdomus — Bathhouse

Ernald heaved a sigh of relief as his body sunk beneath the surface, the heat and steam that radiated from the water doing wonders for his travel and anxiety ridden muscles. Soon after arriving within the limits of the holy city, Joyce's first order of business had been to find a reasonably priced bathhouse so he could wash the grim of Oldcross, the Maw, and the Five Mile Walk from his flesh. Well that and a decent tailor, as his clothes had been in the sorriest state anyone had ever seen, soaked to the point that mold had begun to grow. As for the old man he'd come in with, they'd parted ways shortly after the ore had been delivered, though Ernald was unaware as to his current whereabouts. He assumed however, given the nature of his gift, that the man had made his way deep into an ally somewhere to further serve their master's will.

Whatever that may be.

As for himself, he still had a task of his own to complete. The manuscript was, as of yet, unfinished. This was due in part to his own procrastination—he'd really needed this bath after all—as well as his circumstance. Despite being a city supposedly devoid of sin and where one would assume charity could be found in abundance, the cost of living in Paterdomus was illogically high, and only seemed to get more restrictive and more insane the closer to the center you got. Though that at least made a modicum of sense, for at Paterdomus heart was where its seat of power lay. The final and strongest bastion that only the most devout of individuals tended to inhabit, or so it appeared to Ernald anyway, though he supposed he could've simply been looking for patterns where there were none. In any case he'd been less than successful at finding a suitably comfortable—and reasonably out of the way—place to live, which made his actual work on the treatise unreasonably slow. The knowledge that had been implanted in his mind made things worse as well, for now the majority of his waking hours were spent pondering the uses of such corruptive magics...

"No! No..."

He pinched the bridge of his nose with a tired sigh.

"I can worry about such things later. For now I just need a moment to myself."

Falling silent, he allowed himself to slip beneath the waves...
Ah, so not a god then, more a human with supernatural power. Alrighty.

Edit: I might have an old OC I can dig up.
@ZAVAZggg Jesse stopped attacking and sneered with confusion.

“No, I don’t want a bite of that...whatever that is.” He said with irritation “What the fuck are you? You don’t seem like one of the cultists to me. How can you take so many gunshots.?”

"Never thought I'd see the day..."

Teo shook his head.

"When the Nutra was refused."

Sighing, he carried on.

"As for what I am," he said, pausing to meet Jesse's gaze. "I'm just a man who wants some goddamn quiche."
@ZAVAZggg “Not this time.” Jesse said as he moved his glock away from the schwartz saber.

He was impressed by Teo’s persistence in spite of how many gunshots he had taken. Regardless Jesse was going to get some answers. He shot Teo in both arms, unsure if it would disarm Teo considering there were three gunshots in Teo’s legs and he was still standing.

It didn't, in fact, disarm him. The ring was still very much attached to his finger, though it did cause him to miss his swing by quite a large margin. Grunting, he deactivated the ring, shooting Jesse a look that was more annoyed than anything else.

"Alright!"

He sounded far too calm for someone who'd just been shot multiple times, and was most likely suffering from blood loss both within and without.

"I've reached my being shot quota for today I think..."

Teo struggled to reach into his coat, the fall of his hand revealing...

A perfectly sealed Nutra Grain bar.

"Huh."

He jabbed it shakily in Jesse's direction.

"Wanna bite?"
@ZAVAZggg His adoptive father’s gun...this twat just sliced it in two.

“You’re lucky dead men can’t answer questions, or your brains would be on the ground by now.” He pulled a glock that he pulled off a dead officer before and shot Teo’s other leg and his foot.

Teo felt himself beginning to slow, though he grit his teeth as he continued to work through the pain, moving to slice the Glock out of his opponent's hand as well. His movement was considerably slower than before, however, so it was anyone's guess as to whether this ploy would actually work or not.
