Definitely. I should have mentioned that multiple people can be the same archetype, so don't worry about whether you can be one of them. The answer's always yes.
@DennyPRIME Totally interested!

The setting I have is a volcanic tower, or maybe an evil sorcerer's tower.

Sorry to snub your setting, but the game's already set up!

roleplayerguild.com/topics/99029-destr..
EDIT: I mean, shouldn't I* post it in the CS tab? You can edit it and post your character maybe if you like or you can just add "Bishop's Character" but usually the one who makes the character posts it.

Yeah, I added your name to it to avoid confusion. The purpose behind that is just so that I can change the status of the character between floors. But if that's not how I'm supposed to do it I'll change that.

@DennyPRIME :O Did you steal my character? o_O

Lol, no. I should probably say which characters belong to who, though. Thanks for reminding me.

Checks out. Your character's been put in the characters thread.

@RokkuHoshi You should go ahead and start creating your character though.

DIBS ON THE BRAIN!

Don't worry about dibs, more than one person can have the same archetype. There could be an entire part of brains. They would all die, but it could happen!
On a distant planet in the star system Xircon-12, a 20 story tower stands in the middle of a desert that covers half of the planet. Around it lies row upon row of bleachers, and upon those bleachers stand hundreds of thousands of screaming fans from across the galaxy, ready to watch in person the grandest game show in the entire galaxy: Who Wants to Not Have Their Home Planet Destroyed by a Planetary Laser!

The contestants gather around the tower's entrance, some in armor, some in rags, and most in tears. Plucked directly from their lowly home planets by the show's "Limousines," This motley crew of lesser life forms must ascend to the top of the tower and throw Lord Salazar off the top to win their prize: not having their home planet destroyed by a planetary laser. The more antagonistic races obviously don't lean towards brevity with the titles of their gameshows.

Pick an Archetype!
Your archetype is the general mold that your character fits into, no matter what it's race may be. Don't be too worried about the gear you start with, soon enough you'll be able to pry better stuff out of the cold dead hands of your brothers and sisters!

The Bruiser - The bruiser is big. Very, very big. The bruiser is also stupid, but most people within smashing distance refer to it more politely as "Brainally Challenged."
STRENGTH: 8
DEXTERITY: 5
INTELLIGENCE: 2
PERCEPTION: 5
STARTING EQUIPMENT: Cast iron plate mail, cast iron ball and chain.

The Fighter - The fighter is generally pretty normal, all things considered. Able to adapt to most situations, most methods of combat, and most forms of being mauled. The fighter may soon realize that the number of variations of all of those categories is much more than they first anticipated.
STRENGTH: 5
DEXTERITY: 5
INTELLIGENCE: 5
PERCEPTION: 5
STARTING EQUIPMENT: Steel plate mail, steel broadsword, steel heater shield.

The Thief - The thief has many specialties, including theft, burglary, pick-pocketing, purse-snatching... Okay, maybe it's just one specialty, but he's very good at it.
STRENGTH: 3
DEXTERITY: 7
INTELLIGENCE: 4
PERCEPTION: 6
STARTING EQUIPMENT: Leather armor, lock-picking kit, iron dagger.

The Brain - The brain's name says it all. With a diverse set of skills and interests ranging from chemistry to mechanics to genetics, the brain can do most anything, as long as it doesn't involve opening a jar.
STRENGTH: 3
DEXTERITY: 4
INTELLIGENCE: 9
PERCEPTION: 4
STARTING EQUIPMENT: Cotton clothing, sandwich bag full of mechanical scrap, stainless steel scalpel.

The Sharpshooter - The sharpshooter can take the wing off of an Aggreppian Micro-Fly at 100 meters with nothing but a spoon and a frozen pea. Naturally, the sharpshooter was often scolded during family dinners as a child.
STRENGTH: 3
DEXTERITY: 6
INTELLIGENCE: 3
PERCEPTION: 8
STARTING EQUIPMENT: Leather armor, wooden longbow, 20 iron-tipped wooden arrows, iron dagger.

LEAST FAVORITE LAND BEFORE TIME MOVIE:
Destruction Tower is a really loose RPG based on an even more loose D100 system, with a setting that can be changed at will and a penchant for brutal violence. Damage is modeled in a realistic/over the top style. Instead of health points being lost when you get hit in the arm, your arm might get broken. Pretty much everything else about it depends on the setting. Except for throwing people out of the tower to fall several stories and die. That's pretty consistent no matter what the setting is.

So, if you're interested, go ahead and tell me that you are and suggest a setting!
