Suavo and Kumanu

"Yeah, I think you're right" Suavo admitted with a sigh. "Well, their loss".He turned back to the Ko-Matoran and the Bo-Matoran, and adderessed them with a musty old voice and a stony expression."Thank you, oh Great Explainer, for your wisdom" he intoned, "But since you are so terribly boring, I'm afraid you are no longer welcome in this conversation. Do take your hesitant friend with you, as well."

So saying, Suavo quickly took Kumanu by the shoulders and spun him around, pointing the taller matoran away from the rest of them.
The Ko-Matoran turned back over his shoulder to give Suavo a glare like an ice wind, but did not protest further. It would be pointless, he realised. He had other things to do anyway, and it probably would be good to keep the little Bo-Matoran out of trouble. "Come on, Hura. Let's go.

It wasn't until the pair were well away and had disappeared into the mass of festival-goers that Suavo bent to pick up what Kumanu had left behind. When Suavo had grabbed him, a kanoka had spun free from his bag and fallen to the ground. As he examined it now, Suavo saw that it was a specialised akilini disk, with grooves moulded into the top for a player's feet, and a power code 447.

"Their loss" he repeated, smiling as he tapped the disk to his chest. The kanoka's power felt like a splash of cold water across his face as it took effect, but as it faded he felt sharper and more alert. This would work out just fine, he thought. Who cared about those old stick-in-the-muds?

An hour later, Kumanu fumed in frustration as he paced up and down a locker room at the Fe-Congro Akilini arena. He couldn't find one of his disks, and as each new search proved fruitless, he bet he knew where it was now. That remove poison disk had been one of his favourites, almost a lucky charm that he used for matches. Now it was in the hands of that stupid little gambler who had accosted him and Hura after the play. It rankled him to think he had lost it over something so small, and to such an infuriating matoran.

He would play with a replacement disk, of course: there were plenty of others around the arena. In truth, many would be just as good as his own. There wasn't anything for him to do about it now, and his team would need him to have him mind on the game. Still, as he walked out with the five other Ko-Matoran, a plan was beginning to crystallise in his mind. Once this game was over, he would find Hura in the stands and then... A grim grin graced his mask. Yes, then he would see about getting his disk back.

So, it has been a while, but I really don't want to see this game die. @TheUnknowable, could you make a post, please?
You know, I think Velhni is absolutely right. If we're going to get Kumanu and Hura sneaking around a temple at night, they're going to need a better reason to do so than a bet. I don't want to speak for Hura too much, but (at the moment at least) Kumanu is much too law-abiding and risk-averse to go breaking and entering. We need something else to get him into place.

So how's this? The current group splits up into pairs again, and they do their own things at the festival during the afternoon. The thing is, Suavo and Velhni end up with something of Kumanu's - something he'd miss, and wants to get back. Maybe a kanoka disk or something, I haven't got details yet.

He won't be able to find them again among the thousands of Matoran at the festival, but he knows that they're going to the temple tonight. He enlists Hura's help to go and intercept the two and go get his property back. They also get help from Vhis, who will be able to get legitimate access to the Temple after hours. Maybe Kurava finds a way to get involved as well.

So when midnight comes, Velhni and Suavo are sneaking in to see the stone(s), while the others are also in the temple, looking for them. They all come together at the big suva in the centre, and get transformed at the climax of the night.

Does that sound good / in-character to you, @Tobiax, @Little Mx Inferno?

OK - I'll do that.
No, it really doesn't.

A team of specialists needs a few more people and specialties on it than just two, even if those two are as great as Kell and Dox. They, after all, needed to recruit a team.

Also, I'd love to see a bit more magic on the team for this game to run. Aside from Crimson Raven's promised coinshot, it would be great to have characters burning bronze, tin, maybe nicrosil, or someone storing in copper. It's not strictly necessary for the plot or anything, but they're useful skills for a detective-like operation and also just plain cool.
Sadly, it is looking that way. Unless an avalanche of characters comes in the next couple of days, I think we can safely call the game dead. It's unfortunate, especially after the obvious effort that went into your character. Ah well.

Perhaps we can resurrect it some time in the future.
I've pretty much been ignoring it, to be honest. I had drifted out of the BIONICLE fandom by the time it was announced, and never started following the story. I saw a some of the sets though, and a few of them looked pretty cool.

Really though, I know next to nothing about it, so I have no opinion.
OK. Thanks for saying.
Kumanu

"There are no Toa, now" Kumanu agreed, "But that's because they aren't needed. The Turaga teach that Toa are agents of Destiny. They spring up in times of need, or when great things are afoot, and then they use their strength to do the will of Mata Nui."

"Kongero Nui has been at peace for many years, and so there has been no need for Toa and we haven't seen any. This doesn't mean there won't be Toa again if something happens to bring them back. Just because you have never seen a Toa doesn't mean that they won't come to help us when we need it."

The Ko-Matoran was confident in his speech as he explained these things to the other Matoran. It was a comforting thought, he found, that help was never too far away. He didn't know what kind of thing might prompt Toa to return to the world, but it made him feel secure to know that they were available nonetheless. If Kongero Nui faced true peril, these wise, storng beings would step in to solve things that were beyond Matoran like himself.
Rebekah Green

Obligingly, Rebekah handed over the condiments, a massive grin splitting her face.
"That was fantastic" she crowed. "Hey Jack-jack, come check out what Mako's done! She can use her powers to cook!"

Taking the tray in her own hands while Mako added seasoning, she moved into the doorway and held it down low enough for the pre-schooler to see. There wasn't really that much to see, so she focussed her own power into the egg, causing it to grow to about 5 times its original size.

"The first course is served" she announced, grabbing a few more spoons. She handed one to Jack-jack and then scooped a little of the egg onto her own, raising it in a mock toast. "Here's to Mako" she declared, "And to superpowers making the world better in ways both big and small."
