Thanks. This looks like a great game, and I'm excited to play it.
@Caits Is my character OK too?
Cool, thanks for that @Caits.

Here's my character sheet, resurrected from an old, dead school RP. I've deliberately left the parents vague and said that her abilities are from a more distant ancestor, so I hope that this is acceptable. On the other hand, if anyone with a better knowledge of DC/Marvel has a suggestion for appropriate ancestors, I'd be open to change.

@Caits

Hi, I'm interested in this, but I've got a couple of questions before I jump in.

First, can someone with only a passing knowledge of DC and marvel play this game without much trouble, or will I end up lost and confused most of the time / have my character do dumb things because they don't know some basics of the universe?

Second, is there somewhere I can find a summary of what went on in the first year of this game?
No, no secret channel here.

The champions are entirely open and friendly towards our esteemed ex-comrades. We are definitely not making plans behind their backs.

No hard feelings?
Hey, Mr.@TheUnknowable, it's your turn to post. Poke, poke.
Yeah, thanks.

Also, the random Ta-matoran I mentioned standing next to Hura could turn out to be Kurava if @Little Mx Inferno wants to introduce her that way. Other plans are cool too, though.

I think I'll make a similar post for Velhni and Suavo soon - meeting up and getting ready to go stone-hunting. It would probably take place a little later though, like one hour to sunset.
Fe-Congro, Two Hours to Sunset

Kumanu

The match was over. It had been a good one, Kumanu thought, with both teams playing well and providing the audience with an exciting demonstration of skill. For once, the matoran hadn't been competing for prestige or position in the league, but playing for enjoyment and to honour the Great Spirit by their hard work, athleticism and artistry.

Most of the crowd had dispersed now, with many moving on to a concert to be given by an orchestra from De-Congro. Still, Kumanu's eyes scanned across the stands for a familiar mask: he had arranged to meet up with Hura in the stands after the match. Spotting the diminutive Bo-matoran standing beside a heavy-set Ta-matoran, he hurried over.

"Hi there, Hura" he called, waving as he made his way over. "That was a good match, wasn't it? Anyway, you remember those crooks who grabbed us earlier about the Toa Stone? The little one stole my best disk. So anyway, I want to spoil their fun, and give them a bit of karma while getting my disk back. Are you up for helping me there? For justice?"

The Jack sat rigidly in his seat, fully suited up but unable to do much for the moment. He tried to weigh times in his head, wondering weather the Champions could beat Ned to Andamooka. The pace was, by his reckoning, 14 hours drive from Melbourne. It was reasonable to expect the villain to get his hands on a car or truck, but probably not something faster. The uncertainty was how long it had taken him to evade pursuit and find himself some transport.

The Champions, on the other hand, could move much more quickly. A flight from Japan to central Australia took about nine hours, but could their private jet go faster? Then there was the question of how long it had been before they had been notified. Ned had slipped his bounds and disappeared before anyone had called the Champions. How much of a head start did he get while the local authorities tried to nab him themselves?

It would be a near thing, he thought. Maybe they could get there first, but it wouldn't be by much.

"I think you're right" Jackson asserted. "We came here to deal with Tinhead Ned. That's what we were asked to do, so that should be our first priority. It doesn't look good for the Champions if we leave that to go and chase after something else. We need to show the world that we can be relied upon and trusted, not rushing off after every shiny thing that crosses our vision."
Sadly (or perhaps very fortunately) that wouldn't quite work out. He needs at least a basic understanding of any abilities in order to transfer them. Since the cost of Charlotte's abilities is a pretty major point, he couldn't go messing around animating stuff before having it explained to him.

I am so glad I put that line in the character sheet.
For this to occur, he must be touching both the donor and the recipient, and aware of the abilities being bestowed.
