That was about when the sun itself split apart to reveal a blazing red eye within. The pupil served as a gateway into the void, teeth then forming to line the sides as the image shifted to that of a menacing mouth. Sucking inward, the planet the Godmodder was on became swallowed up along with the rest of the solar system. Soon to follow was the eventual consumption of the galaxy. The universe would gradually meet a similar ending till the mouth even devoured itself.

Nothing remained...till a yawn ended the silence. I open my eyes to cast out the dark, illuminated now by my kitchen light as the sweet aroma of coffee fills my lungs.

"Them Godmodders, am I right?"

Gasp! A 4th Wall break INSIDE a 4th Wall break. Classic Deadpool.
@Keileon Eh. The only real difference there is whether or not you're drawing upon energy from within yourself or from external sources. But I've seen Mana used to describe living energy in nature as well as within the body and vice versa. That's why I say these words are LITERALLY interchangeable at the drop of a hat, boils down to nothing more than personal preference in terms of which labels one likes better.
I wasn't really going to say anything about this.

Essentially, Ether/Mana/MP/Spirit/Ki/Chi/Aura/Ckakra/etc. are all the same thing, just go by different names. They are all labels used to identify spiritual/magical energy which is typically regarded as a fuel for a wide range of powers unless the writer specifically denotes an actual difference. But said "different" energy would be what Mobius is referring to as "Realm Energies" which implies its a form of energy which someone is regarding as unique to their own stories.

And that is basically the problem with said Realm Energies, because people can usually pick and choose what can or cannot effect it, because its unique for them and them alone. (Not saying I'm against folks using their own creative ideas of energy, just trying to keep things in perspective is all) As opposed to the concept of Ether which is being applied as a broad term to refer to Magical/Spiritual Energy in general.

The REAL differences are how people USE Ether for their characters. Some folks will use Magic that actually draws upon their internal reserves of energy or merely draw upon the energy around them. Others will likewise employ different mechanics. In terms of magic, this is usually embodied in the VAST variety of different schools; Necromancy, Conjuration, Destruction, so on and so forth. And even then, there are likewise even MORE variations of each individual school.

But at the end of the day, it always boils back down to the unifying concept that Magic is Magic is Magic.

Fantasy is broken down into Magic or Spirits.
Sci-Fi is simply Tech. But Tech can also cover a huuuuuuuuuuuge category. And in many respects, Tech and Magic can coincide with one another. For example, Mass Effect "Biotics" is more deemed as Tech in this sense because its more biological in nature.

Its all about what you're using and how you're using it.
I really feel compelled to make jokes at Dias's expense that are utterly unrelated to his profile now. Because it's Dias and it's been so damn long since I've been able to make fun of him.

I love you too, Rize.
*Popcorn*
@Metal Tortoise Honestly, you might have just been better off using the movie version, if all you were wanting was a kickass machine type character. Cause I mean, Ultron in the movie wasn't THAT bad. He made a lot of mistakes but it was just a movie, the guy was fated to lose regardless.
@Vordak My defintion/understanding of the tiers is different from most, mainly because the community I hail from focused more on Character Types rather than an actual defined tier system.

For me, Low Tier is essentially the closest you'll get to realism;
-Humans ONLY.
-No Fantasy Elements of any kind.
-Tech can range from Medieval Era to Modern Day.

Meanwhile, Mid Tier encompassed the wide range of Fantasy and Sci-Fi Elements, though with certain restrictions in place;
-The use of WMDs is strictly forbidden.
-Cosmic/Reality/Dimensional Manipulation are not permissible. (Altering a planet's gravitational field, throwing worlds out of whack, collapsing a universe, hiding within pseudo space, etc.)
-God Type characters are NOT allowed. (Immortal, Omnipotent, All-Powerful, etc.)

High Tier stuff was reserved for either A) screwing around and going super crazy with your creativity and B) story related purposes that either didn't actually endanger the characters of unwilling players or in situations where players involved had given prior consent.

Cause I mean let's face it, the minute you open the door and allow stuff like "Magic" (Which in itself is a VERY broad category) or Sci-Fi aspects, you can't really cherry pick. That was essentially the mentality back then. We can't deny one thing while simultaneously permitting another cause then you enter the realm of potential bias. The job of the player is to take a concept and translate that into RP terms. And typically everything was acceptable so long as everyone recognized that just because you can do something doesn't mean your opponent can't resist.

No Power Gaming for us was essentially where one player can't assume/behave like their character is automatically superior to all other characters. So like in the event two "Strong" characters fight one another, you can't just assume that you are somehow stronger. You can't pull a DBZ and raise your power level to assert dominance. And because things like Speed and Strength are relative concepts, people can have different scales for said attributes. So the rule of thumb there is simply "No Power Gaming", do not assume everyone is using YOUR scale of power.

But like I said, that was just my community. We were very open minded about this sort of stuff and it was highly encouraged players explore their creativity.

Which is why I'm saying even though those might be your preferences, its always good to step outside your comfort zone in that sense. Because in doing so you expand your own horizon and that experience can and will make you a stronger player in the long run.
@Vordak
There's more to RP than Low Tier. Expand thy horizons, young padawan. (<---Star Wars Jedi, PERFECT example)
@Metal Tortoise Was Ultron's body actually composed of Adamantium? Anyways, here's my two cents.

There is a general lack of sensible reasoning behind the character itself. Speaking from the perspective of a long time Clan Wars vet, Ultron having an adamantium chasis doesn't logically mean he can withstand 100 "MEGATONS" of destructive force. Just to put this in perspective: britannica.com/technology/nuclear-weap..
That equals a BILLION TONS of explosive energy.

Tech works on a different basis than Fantasy; as per its nature there is an actual science involved. Disregarding the adamantium itself, your titanium joints would not only get busted apart but likewise get liquefied. Then you gotta take into consideration whether or not the sensitive bits inside like your cybernetic don't end up getting baked inside that oven of a body. So the assertion of being able to survive that kind of blast is just absurd and devoid of any sound reasoning.

Now, as for the strength? Yeah, I can accept that.

And with regards to your mind control beam, I'd have to ask how something like that works. Cause in terms of like Magitech where you have Fantasy elements mixed in, that becomes more logically feasible. But to my knowledge, Ultron was built by Tony using legitimate technology that is present on Earth in the Marvel universe. I don't think any Mages were involved. (Unless this is some Infinity Stone stuff. I couldn't exactly afford to get into the comics so I just have the movies to go off of as a reference) And even then there's no promise that said beam would be effective against the other characters involved since that becomes a matter of you contesting the mental fortitude of your opponent's character.

Personally? Ultron got his ass beat in the movie. So I don't have any problem with ya using him. There's a number of ways to screw him over. Your joints are all points of weakness in the frame, since even though Titanium is strong its not some kind of mythic alloy like adamantium.

Elements likewise pose a potential danger;
-Lightning can easily overload the internal systems based on A) how its applied and B) the amount of volts you're putting into it.
-Fire could melt the Titanium. (Heat in general can and will always pose a potential threat)
-You're just a machine and don't technically possess a soul, so someone capable of bending the element Metal could turn ya into a pretzel without there being much resistance.
-Magnetism owns you. Period.

And God help you if your opponent is any sort of competent Mage, cause unless you're using your OWN custom Technology, Magic Casters will 9 times out of 10 wipe the floor with you.

Overall, the main issue I have with it/can see being a problem is that your profile wouldn't fly for Clan RPs in the Omniverse. There doesn't appear to be any actual heart going into. Nothing was seemingly explained which in any kind of Clan War, your opponents WOULD insist you explain how your stuff works, and not being able to would result in major penalties. Which from my old community typically resulted in one of the Mods showing up to smite you with their God Type character.

Maybe if you had "YOUR version" of Ultron which was actually fleshed out? I could see that being different.

Also, your general attitude and tossing insults left and right is just shitty behavior. I mean if you want folks to take you seriously, then present your case in a calm manner. Be intellectual and civil, rather than calling people stupid or idiots. Especially folks who didn't even have anything to do with your character getting rejected, I mean what the fuck man? That shit ain't cool.

Respect is a two way street. That is seriously THE FIRST rule you learn in any iteration of Role-Play.
On the topic of various trash talk; to be fair, its typically to be expected prior to a competition. Especially when you have this many folks gathering together from all manner of different communities.

Personally, I say take it in stride and or return the favor. Regardless, actions speak louder than words.
