Aurora Falls' Paranormal Investigation Club (AFPIC)

Roxanne Sumagin

Name: Roxanne Alexandria Sumagin (aka Roxie)
Age: 16
Species: Human

Appearance: Standing at 5’6” and 120 lb , Roxie is fairly average. She has dark curly hair and green eyes and never goes anywhere without makeup. She’s good looking but no one has seen her without makeup to know her natural look. She tends to dress more stylish and rarely wears jeans and a t-shirt.

Occupation: High School student; Con artist?

Powers/Abilities:
Normal powers: Expert in reading body language and decent in cold readings
Supernatural powers: She has a wide range of psychic abilities although some better than others. What she excels in are aura readings (this with her expertise in body language and cold reading makes people think she’s telepathic but actually doesn’t have that ability) and precognition. Her premonitions tend to be detailed are always sometime in the future whether that’ll be a second to years down the line and she can’t tell when it’ll happen. She can use telekinesis to move objects that are already in motion (like diverting a ball after its thrown) and psychometry where she can only get visions from the object’s recent past (about a day). She also has some ability in clairvoyance although it hasn’t been developed much outside of gut feelings that something’s not right.
Personality: If you want to sum up Roxie in a few words it would be charming pragmatist. She is sweet talker that can get along with everyone but don’t mistake her actions for kindness, she always looks out for herself first.

Backstory: Roxie didn’t have a difficult childhood because in her eyes there wasn’t much struggle or turmoil. She simply accepted her circumstances and went with it. Her father was a gambler and a con artist with some psychic powers and lived a life where he was constantly on the move. Her mother was left behind most of the time caring for Roxie but they were never in any financial trouble. But after some incident (something involving the mob ), her mother left and Roxie’s father took Roxie along on his adventures. Everything she learned was from him and being his assistant. But wanting Roxie to have a more stable life as she got older, her father relocated to Aurora Falls but often leaves for stretches of time to continue his ‘business’ since with such a small population running cons or being a pool shark wasn’t much of an option anymore. The only interesting thing left was the AFPIC for Roxie to occupy her time (and online gambling).

Notes: With her abilities, gambling is never risky. Her games are pool and dice and she’s been trying to apply her abilities to online gambling and to card games recently. She dislikes being bored and people timid people.

Here! Last week was stupidly crazy, but I should be able to post more regularly now.

Wizard City Detective Agency

The group arrived to the building. Fae readied her sword and patted her coat pockets. The spell tags were safely inside and within easy reach. When the boss gave them the nod, Fae took point and entered first, hand on the sword's hilt. Weak light illuminated the inside from dirty windows. The place was mostly empty except for dust and abandoned spider webs. In a far off corner was a hole, upon closer inspection a ladder lead down. A string of lights hung on the side of the tunnel showing a fairly large tunnel and decent sized walkway next to the wall. The stench of sewage wafted up. Fae nearly gagged from the smell and covered her nose and mouth.

"Do we really need to go down there?" she asked, giving Marcus a clearly displeased look.
