Both submitted CS's are great, Crunch you're accepted if you'd be so kind as to put your character in the character section under a hider that would be fabulous. Nomad I love the alien's appearance and the armor and weaponry, just waiting on that backstory but from where I'm standing it looks like you'll be accepted too, provided you PM me more details about your race so I know they dont all have crazy superman powers or something.
As for The Hunters Guild idea, I like it. The civilized systems aren't fighting the cataclysm that has happened because to them its too far out and too obscure to worry about. Also in a galaxy with millions of planets the loss of 7 isnt a huge deal. They're more concerned with the refugees that come from them. I did intend to have several key players/factions looking into the actual destruction itself, one of which is how our ensemble will come into contact with Muru, so I'm totally happy to introduce another faction that has taken an interest although maybe for less humanitarian reasons. The only thing I wanted to be clear on is the restricted animals thing, Laws vary in the galaxy based on which sector your in because different galactic governments (and there are a lot) have different laws like on earth, so if you wanted the hunters guild to mark animals as off limits its something they would have to maintain on their own. Though I'm sure most governments wouldn't mind the guilds activity in their territories.
