Do the students have their own rooms or do they share a dormitory with co-mages?
It wasn't long since the clamoring of footsteps echoed through the hollow halls of the academy. Sylph knew what was going to happen. The new students were once again arriving at the school; students who are naive and proud of their skills. She had already witnessed, what? 2 or 3 waves of students arriving. It was nothing new, rather, it was something annoying. The young wizard wore her hood as she stood up and ended her reading of a heavy grimoire that she had attached to the belt of her waist. Sylph grabbed her stave as she exited the dusty section of the library. Sylph didn't like greeting new students, of course not, they were too bothersome and annoying for her taste. However, she remembered the debt that Malixis had given her; Malixis was the mage who took Sylph in and showed her around the academy. Well, she had stayed in this institution for 8 whole years... apparently, the academy didn't consider her yet ready to wear the mantle of mages. She didn't have any ill-will towards the academy's decision though, Sylph knew that she was far from ready. She had only learned fire, earth, water, and wind... but the other arcane arts was far from her grasp. She had much to learn, and she lavished the opportunity to hone her ability in this prestigious department.

"Ventum Pedes." Sylph mumbled. Perhaps one of the reasons why she wasn't allowed to graduate yet was because of her inability to cast a spell without verbal incantation. It was true, most of the great mages could all cast their spells without any verbal chants, and that was what made them stand out. Sylph knew she had an upcoming class of Non-verbal casting, and she knew it was going to be hard. Suddenly, a small torrent of wind enveloped her feet... Sylph's speed increased as she dashed from corridor to corridor. Finally, she arrived at the great gates, and she saw a familiar sight; a sight she had seen through her 8 years in the academy. Although, Sylph didn't trust anyone, she was quite gentle with Zmerr, one of the keepers of the academy. His dishes were delightful, and his inventions were interesting.

"Ah. Pleasure to meet you again, Mr. Zmerr." Sylph bowed as she closed her eyes. Her voice was similar to a mumble but was still quite audible. "I see you've beat me to my task of ushering the students." the wizard lifted her head as she observed a dracon... a girl dracon if she would say. "A freshman, should I assume?" Sylph observed the female dracon as she looked at Zmerr with her red eyes.

Name: Sylph Cain
Age: 18 (She started quite young at age 10)
Mage Type: Wizard
Learned Abilities (Will include the history of each one):
1. Cryomancy and Hydromancy- One of the most basic forms of magic that Sylph learned during her first few years in the academy. The magic itself is as cold and ruthless as the lessons she had to endure while learning it. Every biting cut that failed ice had caused became a scar that immortalized her sufferings in learning even the most basic forms of arcanum. Sylph's memories include 'being one' with the frost as well as having to endure freezing water just to get a grip of what hydromancy and cryomancy was all about. This cold arcane art symbolizes the cold gaze that Sylph now carries everywhere she goes. (10-12)

2. Pyromancy- Again, Sylph learned this arcane art a few years after learning the element of water. The scalding and searing heat and vapor that sundered her clothes and skin could never be forgotten. Sylph learned under the blazing heat of the sun, and her breath became as torrid as the very flames she had learned to control. During her journey into pyromancy, her hands became as red as the dancing flames that licked at her cracked feet as she underwent one trial after another. This wrathful element shares the same fury as Sylph does towards those natural born mages who still have the audacity to boast about their innate talents without a hint of gratitude. (12-13)

3. Terramancy- Sylph learned this rigid element a few years after she learned Pyromancy. Her bruises became as black as the very mud she wallowed in when learning the fundamentals of the very soil that she stood on. Her tears were swallowed by the merciless ground as her cries became muffled by the torrent of mud that overwhelmed her training everyday. However, she was already experienced after learning two elements; her training became a bit easier, but nothing less than brutal. She watched her colleagues effortlessly conjure mountains of dirt and earth. Their jeers emanated through her ears as her will hardened like the very earth. Soon, she had the ground under her control, and soil upon soil was moving seamlessly under her bruised fingertips. The earth's unbreakable bond lives on in Sylph's heart that had hardened; no longer open to companionship and trust. (13-15)

4. Aeromancy- Sylph learned this just recently. The slicing winds tore through her soul as she bled quicker than a punctured water balloon. Her hands shattered and withered at the force of such an untamed force of nature. However, Sylph drew on from her past trials, and hardened her will. The wind howled loud that day as Sylph continued to learn even though she was technically bleeding... However, as do all trials go, as long as you put effort, you have a reward. Sylph soon controlled the blistering and howling winds that would batter and break her adversaries. The howling wind exists within Sylph's troubled heart; a howling of pain and anguish that she had locked up inside a long time ago. (15-18)

Equipment: A long wooden stave with an enchanted jewel at its tip. This enchanted duel is similar to a power bank; it acts as a emergency supply of magical and physical energy should Sylph deplete her own. However, this emergency supply is not for battle, but rather, for escaping and defense.

History:

"So you want to know my story? Let me begin on a typical fairytale; you guys seem to like fairytales, right? Once upon a time there was a family of gypsies. They were all living peacefully; not harming anyone, of course. They all lived in tranquility, and in fact, they even helped those who were lost. However, there was a bad man. He wanted the gypsies' territory and property, but the gypsies didn't give in. So, what did the bad, bad man do? He spread a rumor about the gypsies being trained in magical arts, specifically, curses. It was so timing because the town that they were living in was suffering from an unknown disease, which was brought on by the bad man, obviously...

So what did the people do? Did they kill the gypsies? I wish they just did that... But, no... they wanted more. As 'justice' for what the gypsies 'did', the men raped each and every one of the captured gypsies... What's more? They made a sport out of their so called 'just' execution. They played 'pin the gypsy with a salt-tipped bamboo pole'. You can only imagine how salty the mood was at that time. The gypsies were turned into pin-cushions; their cries for justice still echoes to this very day... However, the townspeople's 'justice' still didn't end there... No, of course not. They tied the gypsies to multiple carts, and then... dragged the bodies around and around the town center until the gypsies' corpses were nothing more than mangled remains of humanity. Quite a fun tale, right? Wait, there's more. Here's where I come in.

One gypsy eluded the grasp of the town's justice... She ran and ran until she came upon a cloaked traveler with a cart full of goods. The girl was hungry, she was desperate. So, she did one thing that changed her life forever. She stole from the traveler, rather, she tried to. The traveler was a mage, and without much effort, the gypsy's resistance was futile. While the gypsy saw death in the man's eyes, the man saw something different in hers. Revenge. Hope. Justice. Years passed and the gypsy stayed with the magician... that was until she was summoned to an apparent academy... It was a once in a lifetime offer. She accepted.

You see... there's no such thing as good and evil in this world... there is only justice and revenge. Therefore, I will have my revenge in order to create justice upon my sisters who I watched suffer and die.
Are you guys still acceptin'? :D
