Hello!

I'm Pollen, hope you're not allergic. I like writing a myriad of characters in all kinds of genres, so I'm pretty much down for anything roleplay-wise.

Come talk with me if you want! I'm friendly.

@Doc Doctor So is my profile accepted or not?

I am definitely in.

@Doc Doctor You bringing Donny for this? Or someone new?
I'm curious about the Arena.

Wonderful! *cracks knuckles*

How are the RPs here done?

Two characters enter, one character leaves.

What type of RPs are conducted?

We've got a pretty good variety... there's fights to the death, fights to maul your opponent so badly they might as well be dead, fights to fight someone just for the sake of fighting, and tournaments.

It's an arena. Should be obvious, no?
I can understand why emotions usually wouldn't show up in a fight. From second to second, a character's focus would be on what was happening rather than what it meant to them personally. Besides, most veterans would have trained themselves to suppress their fear and uncontrollable anger, since those might hinder them in battle.

That said, you can get some pretty cool moments if you let the personal side of things slip in. I remember doing one fight where the two characters were hitting on each other during combat. They flirted, drew closer, and eventually ended up kissing- which one fighter used as a distraction to knee the other in the stomach and then floor them. The two had another meeting later on, which quickly turned into a violent grudge match fueled by anger over the first fight, and ended up being even more fun than the original.
Just curious. Has anyone accepted a fight against that character?

I accepted a 2v2 against him and another character once... but we needed a fourth person, and nobody joined. Kentucky Tom rides alone again...

I'm mostly caught up on other stuff. Let my battles commence after work!

Bring it on :)

Anyone play overwatch? Competitive is so annoying.

I play it occasionally, though I avoid competitive entirely. Too much salt, not enough fun.

Mom's getting a lot better. I can really for real start roleplaying again pretty soon.
On a side note, I don't recall ever seeing this pokemon before in my entire life: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Leavan..
Like...wat? Does no enemy trainer ever use it? I'm at a loss.

Nice to hear that you'll be around again!

As for the pokemon, it's apparently an evolution (which tend to be seen less often) from gen V (black/white). If you didn't play those games that much, you may have just missed it.

Also worth noting is that this is pokemon 542- and the number has only grown since then. As the number of pokemon grows, the harder it becomes to remember them all, and so it could be that you've seen it, but simply never remembered it (it is a fairly generic leaf pokemon by the look of it).
I don't know how to text fight. I am looking for someone to teach me

Well it's quite a complex and technical skill to master, but these examples should teach you most of what you need to know.

Example of a great fight

Drifting Pollen: I punch you and you die.

Whoever is fighting Drifting Pollen: Oh shit I'm dead. GG WP.

Judge: Pollen is best fighter all internet.

Example of a bad fight

Drifting Pollen: I punch you and you die.

Whoever is fighting Drifting Pollen: wait but

Judge: DISQUALIFIED! Drifting Pollen wins!

The girl's joints were stretched and twisted almost to breaking point- but no matter how hard the enormous lizard strained and yanked, they would not move any further. Vol's beady eyes gleamed with excitement. Incredible! This human was not protected by skin or clothing, she was simply unbreakable, inside and out.

It was clear that, strong as he was, brute force at close range wasn't going to work here. He needed to regroup, change his tactics, figure out a way around this seemingly impenetrable defense. And stop her from kicking him as well.

The first two kicks landed hard on his scaly snout, forcing him to open his jaws and release Vincy's other leg. The sharp teeth parted, and he hissed like a snake as her foot fell away from his mouth, slightly coated in saliva. However, he still had a hold on her head. Pushing through the dull pain and gathering his might, Vol swung her around and moved to hurl her with devastating force into the nearest building.

He doubted, now, that the impact would hurt her much. But he only sought to slow her down, buying him time to call on his stranger talents. Raw strength was not his only trick by any means, and this was an opponent he could unleash his true power against!
