It had been a rather chaotic landing, to say the least, yanking Aeschel out of his conversation with the girl and immediately swept away by crowds of unorderly exits. He swore he'd be road kill if he hadn't apparently inherited the blood of his circus acrobat grandfather aiding him in staying upright and dodging he would have been roadkill under the heels of these students, though with the speed in which they all rushed off, it was hard to say they looked like students, more like black blurs that would usually exist solely to fill in backgrounds. Well, Aeschel didn't know for sure if his Granpa was apart of the circus, his father just used it to explain why he could be so agile and flexible, whereas Aeschel always assumed he was good at climbing and all that simply because he was squirrel faunus.
By the time he was in the clear, there were no familiar faces in sight.
Urg, you didn't even ask her name. Dunderhead! He found a spot near the ramp to wait for Cinna, just like he agreed, and- assuming she did find the time to meet with him- the rush to Ozpins Grand Speech room most likely proved too much of a time crunch to give the two any time to exchange words.
"So, that's Head Master Ozpin? He looks... Younger than in photo's I'd seen. Then again, he is supposed to be the youngest headmaster in history..." It was a tightly packed room, so Aeschel (Maybe with Cinna in toe) took refuge at the back where there would hopefully be no victims to the antics of his tail. No distractions, no one mad at him, meaning no one to stop him from hanging onto Ozpin's every word.
"I wonder how teams are decided. Not much is known about the initiation process, apparently, no one really talks about it a lot. Plenty of rumors surrounding it though" He scratched his chin, going through possibilities.
"Perhaps they use the entrance exam and other data to process the best match possible between Hunters. I doubt it'd be a choice system of everybody just picking out their own partners. It has to be a delicate and disciplined process no matter what, these people will be your roommates and brothers-in-arms for years to come; you'd have to compliment each other well to be effective on the battlefield"Pondering and discussion faded into awkwardness as dinner came and went by, transitioning into the night period where the great hall packed in all of the first years.
"Okay, Aeschel. You can make it through here without hurting or offending anyone, right?" He still walked in his sandals, acting like they were slippers as he held a small green bedroll over his shoulder. He didn't have any special pajamas or anything, just some old brown tracksuit bottoms and a simple white shirt. As long as the clothes added free movement for his tail and felt comfortable, he didn't really care. As he made his way through the room his eyes shifted nervously over all of his peers, looking for any familiar sets of eyes. He didn't know if Cinna would mind the company, she seemed nice so far and it would be less likely for him to give into nerves with someone he at least got along with at the moment. It couldn't hurt to ask, could it?
He spotted the likes of Aqua easily, her bright blue hair and gills standing out pretty well after a shower, making her general spot nice place to stop in the sea of bodies and get his bearings.
"There's so many people, you could get lost in here" He idly commented as he slowed down, stopping near the girl as he tried to peer over his... Peers.
