"What makes you think I'm not already here?" A feminine voice asked, the last word's R rolling almost in a purr. The woman stepped out from the side of the VIP entryway, walking up to the table. She was draped in a heavy cloak, covering her from head to ankle. The boots she wore were clearly military style, as were the gloves on her hands that were holding the cloak closed.

"Commander. I am glad you chose to accept my contract. You almost didn't make the deadline. Do you make it a habit of keeping a girl waiting?" She chuckled, then pulled her hood down. The first thing those gathered would most likely notice first. The cat ears atop the mercenary's head. Obviously they were fake, right? "A few zombies don't sound like a problem. What's the catch?"

Kat with Eight Lives
Name: Kat
Faction: Freelancer
Age: 21
Race: Feline Anthromorph
Gender: Female

Weapons: Modified M16, a desert eagle sidearm, A specialized crossbow with bolts labeled "K8L", a pair of combat knives, and twin custom short swords. She does not carry all of these at once. She has set load-outs for different combat situations.
Skills: Feline level of reflexes, eyesight, and hearing. relatively good aim with both her firearms, knows some hand-to-hand combat. Is known to have a silver tongue. Drawbacks: not very strong, relies more on avoidance and stealth.

Personality: Serious on the job, rather mischievous in nature. She tends to grab onto things that are amusing to her and run with them for long stretches of time. She likes to tease her targets when she gets the chance, and she's far from being a prude in terms of intimate relations with anyone she finds relatively attractive, or likes her for who she is, and not judge her on her appearance.

History: A Sergent in the US army, she enjoyed her job, but needed some extra cash. So she volunteered to be a subject in the science division. But life has a way of screwing with you. The scientists botched their predictions and their budget, leaving her a freak of science with little money and no chance of a normal life.

Using what she knew, she became a freelance agent. An assassin of sorts. Advertized as the "Kat with eight lives" She made a name for herself in the criminal underworld. She was careful to avoid big factions, feeling they'd use her and dump her as the military did. She had heard about a group that didn't care about appearance, but she lived by one rule: Never trust anyone as far as you can throw them. So instead of showing up in person, she sent the man in charge of recruiting an offer of her services...
Maybe this should spin things up...=3

What type of land are you looking for?

Forested land near water.
I had a specific society in mind. desert and plains don't work.
Then I guess I'll just take my leave. I don't want to cause more confusion with my own. I also don't think I'll enjoy the heavy trade thing that's going on.
Then the spots on reserve should be LISTED. There's only so much room, I would like to know specifically what land isn't taken or reserved before I attempt to join.
This is just what I'm looking for. A broad roleplay with more than just single characters making a difference.

I can't fill a sheet out right now. But I am thinking about taking some of the tropical mainland just north of the Kingdom of Aerianna, stretching to the second river delta, or the island west of Avalysia and south of Sengri Ta'hamurg.

I was curious of race, though. While I know humans are the only ones with a society and government and such, what about a nomadic race of Nekomata type humanoids? I would be wiling to accept many disadvantages of this, as well as having very low tech and practically non-existant military. Magic would also be hampered due to a lesser knowledge and a more religious basis in its understanding of the power. Almost a shamanistic approach to it. The wielders wouldn't be able to do much more than heal the sick or cause crops of the very few settlements there would be of this species to yield more for the harvest season.

I'm very excited about joining. I'm not on a computer that I can be on for long periods. But I wanted to ask and see if it's somehow possible.
