Someone stole a jar of melatonin from the store that I work at. I hope it keeps them up at night.

Being tiny, curious as hell, cute and incredibly clumsy, I find Meltan surprisingly relatable for a lump of metal with a nut for a head.

I didn't know I had a favorite steel-type pokemon until Meltan. Not to be dramatic, but I'd die for that little fella

Everyone wants to be special, yet nobody seems to realise that being special isn't always a good thing.

"Well, you better get used to it. He does that all the time and is hardly helping." Jackson said in response to Melody, before heading back to where she had seen the other group last. Cyrias repeated his earlier explanation to Melody, seemingly not bothered by it. Elliot and Trixie were awake and getting ready. "What's wrong?" Elliot asked.
"A miscarriage is not a simple mishap. And it's no importance to you anyway. But in case you forgot, I'm an assasin, and an excellent one at that. I'm hired to murder people, and I'd be damned if I screw an important one like this up." Jackson answered, her voice sounding unfriendly. "Little compliment? I think you misunderstand, fair maiden. You see, us Minotaurs value strength quite much. We have friendly battles with others, and it's not uncommon for two males to fight to win the favour of a potential mate, if they both happen to be interested in the same female. So when I call my combat skills a talent, I speak of them proudly. I suppose you could say that I'm showing off a little." Cyrias explained, chuckling awkwardly. The others were waking up slowly, unaware of what was going on in the city.
"Laugh at me again and I'll break your neck, l swear." Jackson warned, glaring at Spencer. "Why I joined? That's not a very interesting tale, I'm afraid. I simply needed a job, but other than fighting, I have not much talents, so a job like this seemed fitting enough." Cyrias explained.
Paying no attention to the comments of their supervisors, Cyrias went ahead and left the two others behind. At the moment, he only wanted to pay attention to Melody. She was gorgeous, for the lack of a better fitting word. The word gorgeous didn't quite do justice to elfs' beauty. "You can assume that it's none of your business, you rat." Jackson snapped in return, although she couldn't hide the pained look in her eyes, which said more than a thousand words. Why would she want to share the details of her private life with an idiot like him?
Okay
Ella didn't seem entirely convinced yet, but nodded regardless. If he believed that Lindsey would be okay with her being a shapeshifter, than what choice did she have, other than believing him? Somewhat more assured, she started to wonder about what it would be like to live in the city. It was different from her life in the forest, that was for sure. Everything and everyone seemed to be and act different from what she was used to. Looking down at the pendant she had borrowed from Poitr, the little girl remembered something. "That detective who was here yesterday took my necklace away. Do you think we can get it back?" She asked Poitr, looking at him. The necklace had belonged to her mother before Ella got it, after the death of her mother, so she was very fond of it. It meant a lot to her. "When do you think I can leave the hospital? I don't like it, it's scary." She then asked Poitr. Maybe it sounded a little silly, but she was sure he understood why the hospital was scary to her, being filled with humans.
"Melody... That's a lovely name, a beautiful name for a beautiful elf." The minotaur said, before shaking Melody's hand, which was somewhat small compared to his own. "And yes, I suppose that means that we are partners. I look forward to working with you."

Jackson sighed softly. Was this all really necessary? "Yes, you two are being really adorable, but after the hospital visits and grand summonings, I believe we wasted enough time already. Let's focus on our mission again, shall we?"
Cyrias was about to respond to Spencer, when he was distracted by a feminine voice. "What happened here?" The voice sounded, causing him to turn and take a look. While doing so he noticed two women, one of which looked stunning to him.

"I believe that happened here was referred to as a 'summoning', by my superior." He asked, at which Jackson nodded in understanding, but said nothing about it.

"And who might you be?" She asked in return.

"My name is Cyrias, I will temporarily be functioning as Spencer's assistant. Now, if you don't mind me asking, I would love to hear your name, as well as the name of the fair maidrm who happens to be accompanying you."
"As I said, I still consider this a needlessly cruel thing, no matter what you call it. Your kin has some morbid rituals." Cyrias simply answered, not saying much else afterwards. Demonic or not, this was still awful.

Jackson nodded, getting up again and preparing to get moving again. Melody was right, despite how much she hated to admit that.
"The boy, Silas. He's a shapeshifter." Ella clarified for Poitr, also reminding him that her friend was a shapeshifter, even though that may not have been something necessary to say. She had already told him, after all, and it wasn't something one would forget that fast.

His question did remind her about the werewolf, however. She hadn't thought of him before. She didn't see him as much as Silas, but every full loon was still a lot, and what if he would want to visit her but couldn't find her in the forest? He wouldn't know, and he'd be worried for sure. Maybe she should visit to tell him that she was alright, if she could find out where he lived.

He also mentioned that his wife didn't know that she was a shapeshifter and even though he said that she'd understand, it made Ella worried. What if she didn't understand? Would she get mad, like the other people? "But what if she doesn't? Will Lindsey still want to take care of me if she knows I'm a shapeshifter?" She asked seriously, obviously uncertain and scared, not knowing what to expect.
