Callum was disappointed by how easily Alyx managed to deter Frodo and save her clothes....though the barely concealed disgust lightened the blow. All things considered, i.e Callum's complete lack of perception, he did witness the tender moment she shared with Frodo as he rolled over to reveal his belly...he even refrained from making a comment on it.

He chuckled at her quick response to his jab and just before heading into the house, he turned back towards Alyx to give her a come-at-me gesture which consisted off him pinching at the top of his shirt before spreading his arms out in front of him, coupling it with possibly the most arrogant smirk he'd ever worn.

Even if it was a little unclear to her, his reaction had been pretty quick...for him anyway. Judging by the complete lack of words though, he'd actually failed to think up a good comeback. Luckily he was able to disappear into the house and change the subject pretty quickly.

"What were you singing too?" Callum asked Rose, giving her a small window to respond before he was distracted by Elizabeth's answer to his question. His face lit up at the mention of eating "I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse" he commented, patting his stomach. Callum didn't budge as Alyx moved between him and Elizabeth, just to be as awkward as possible and without the faintest clue of her reasoning for doing so. Turning to look at Loki as Alyx started talking he lifted up one of his hands and started tapping his fingers together whilst mouthing 'blah, blah, blah'. Mentioning Andy from Sydney seemed to make him stop though, dropping his hand, he rolled his eyes and turned away from the group.

"Blue eyes, black hair? Well..."

"...she talked him to death" He finished for her, hopping back up into the lobby. He still listened to Elizabeth as she explained the situation and dutifully followed after her. Looking around curiously at everything as they crossed the lobby and climbed the stairs. It was a completely innocent thing to do...even if the reasoning behind it was less so.

"Settled, now?" Callum wrinkled his nose but followed after Elizabeth without any further encouragement. Looking around curiously at everything as they crossed the lobby and climbed the stairs. It was a completely innocent thing to do...even if the reasoning behind it was less so. Moving past Elizabeth's door, Callum went to the next door along and attempted to open it, assuming that he was successful he wandered in for a nose around.

"Bagsy this one" He called back, popping his head back round the door to look at the others. "Hey, Loki? There's another bed in here if you want it" He added with a shrug of his shoulders before disappearing again. Sharing with Callum was a well known risk, if the fact that he was practically nocturnal wasn't enough to put people off, the inevitable pranking usually sealed the deal...the constant rejection didn't stop him from trying though.

"Or maybe Theo'll want it...where is he anyway?" Callum continued on, walking back out into the hallway. He was genuinely curious as to where the last member of their group could be...but also thinking of the delicacies that Theo would sometimes surprise them with.

Let me know whether that worked or not ^^

Rain turned to look at Andro as she answered, taking the time out to really look at her. Her gaze was searching to the say the least and seemed to focus on Andro's eyes -not that she could actually see them- for the most part.

"Hmm, yeah, you're probably right...running water, log cabins, off-the-grid naturally sourced electricity, tight knit community, no crime, natural order, it wouldn't be your thing" There was a hint of sarcasm to her words...being unable to read Andro, she'd jumped to the conclusion that the gorgon honestly thought that Rain's lifestyle was practically the same as that of a normal wolf pack. That she lived in a den, dug into the side of a mountain with the rest of her pack.

"That's a given, the lone wolf dies whereas the pack thrives" She added "Who's to say that logic can be used for just wolves?" She finished with before jumping to change the subject.

She was quiet as Andro answered her question, focusing her eyes on the frozen ground beneath them. Glancing at the gorgon as she caught on to the faint hissing from inside her hood "I noticed. Don't worry, I won't ask anymore questions on the subject" She assured her, giving her questioning look a t her comment on the cold "I didn't think the cold was good for anyone"

She chuckled at the skiing advise, a smile on her face "Heh, that simple is it? It's a good thing my balance has improved"

The lift juddered as Andro asked her question, causing Rain to inhale sharply and push herself back in her seat. It took her a minute to calm down enough to answer...in truth it was a slightly awkward one to answer. That much was apparent in the small silence that followed

"Yes, my pack is my family...but I...I'm uns-"

She didn't get a chance to finish answering as an almighty screech erupted from the top of the lift, causing her to hiss and clamp her hands over her sensitive ears. At the same time the ski lift staggered to a halt, swinging back and forth as it lost all momentum.

With her head ringing from the screech, Rain curled her body around the safety bar, praying it would be enough to keep her in the abominable contraption. Looking up ahead of them it was clear to see they'd stopped a third away from one of the checkpoints, suspended in the air above a barren land of snow with the sun slowly but surely dipping behind the horizon.

"What the hell just happened?!"

"I wouldn't be around if I wasn't a quick study" She murmured as she was helped to her feet. Andro's response to her apology did little to reassure Rain after her blunder, it was rare for the werewolf to give in to her pride but falling on her face wasn't exactly an impressive display of her prowess...

The brief pause was enough to tell Rain that she might have hit a sore subject, if that wasn't enough she could sense it through Andro's answer. Gingerly making her way over to the lift, Rain growled at the guide as he went to help her into the lift...she wanted them both to see she was fully capable of getting herself into the diabolical contraption.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked about her" Rain interjected as she settled into the lift next to Andro, curling her fingers around the bar once the guide had secured it in place.

She glanced at the gorgon as she batted a question back at her, were it not for the obvious discomfort she'd caused with her own question, Rain would have given a short answer. She didn't often talk about her home, not because it was a sore subject...more so for safety's sake.

"You could say that...my pack lives in mountains similiar to these. Tends to be less snow around there, this time of year mind you. We don't really ski...occassionally we'd go sledding for fun" She responded, inhaling sharply as the lift jutted to life and they started off up the mountain. It wasn't that Rain was scared of heights, she loved them, but machinery of any kind made her nervous.

"Say, did you skip skiing again because you didn't enjoy it or for more personal reasons?" The werewolf asked, keen to concentrate on something other than the lift they were sat in, it wasn't exactly difficult to be distracted with Andromeda there.

Saqui was far from impressed by the hall monitors flailing response, again were it not for the magma incident she might have been easier on him. Perhaps even noticed that the conks to the head had been more than enough...he looked beyond pathetic to her as he forced out an apologetic explanation.

Before she had a chance to ask him to elaborate on his answer, Brunhilde joined in the fray. And by the time she'd roasted the hall monitor Saqui almost felt sorry for him...almost.

Taking a deep breath, Saqui took a step back from the hall monitor. She couldn't bring herself to feel completely guilty about the state the hall monitor was in, even if she could tell that he was regretting his actions...that didn't mean she wasn't all set to forgive him. With Brunhilde's cold delivery of justice Saqui felt that the hall monitor had suffered enough for time being.

"Right...apology accepted for now" She decided to say, gradually releasing the tension in her body "Just hold back on the magma throwing in the future, hmm? A good offense can be a good defense but premature firing is risky business"

With that said Saqui, cautiously bent down to snag the hall monitor badge off of the floor before taking a step towards the fire teachers door and reaching for the clipboard hanging out of it.

"So we wanted to know about an accident that happened yesterday..." She started, trailing off as she focused on tugging the jammed clipboard out of the teacher's mailbox.

"It involved Brunhilde here and took place around...erm..." Saqui bit down on her lip and looked to Brunhilde to fill in the gap. Giving the clipboard another tug it finally came free of the whole, though the reports looked almost as ruffled as the hall monitor.

Giving them a brush over, she offered him the clipboard with one hand whilst the other reached over to try and pat his funky hall monitor badge back onto his arm.

Apart from nodding every so often as Saqui spoke, flinching when she moved and constantly glancing at Brunhilde the hall monitor had been stunned into silence. He still wanted to run, more than anything right now but the smaller girls threat of being thrown out of a window hung over his head and his legs refused to move.

Gingerly taking the clipboard from Saqui, he gulped as he tried to smooth out the crumpled pages of his precious reports.

"Y-yesterday? I-I can tell you..."

A week later

During the last week, Saqui had made significant improvements in most of her subjects. She'd spent a lot of time with Brunhilde as well, training, bothering, comparing notes...being reminded to do assignments especially when her fellow air user would often complete them more than once.

Saqui had excelled at practical experiments or homework, fell short on her theory work more than once and continuously suffered for overdue assignments....luckily the substitute teacher was in a way far kinder when it came to punishment than the original instructors that Brunhilde had met.

Well not including the fact he'd forbidden them from touching the ground during the week, for Saqui it was border line torture.

What was probably the most concerning was her less than satisfying progress on the combat front. Despite afternoon sparring sessions, she hadn't progressed as much as many of the other first years when it came to using her powers offensively. If anything she was far more astute at defensive practices or avoidance techniques. She also seemed to struggle with the concept of using her powers against other students, even during friendly sparring sessions she was hesitant.

Kano's afternoon class

Having received a memo from the substitute air teacher, asking his students to join headmaster Kano's class that afternoon, Saqui had purposefully cut her wandering short that lunch time and made her way over to the fields.

With both of her feet securely on the ground...

She'd even removed her shoes, in an attempt to break all barriers between herself and Maka. Moving around the edge of one of the pools, Saqui took a looked for any sign of Brunhilde and the other students whilst she gingerly made her way towards Kano.

"Good afternoon, headmaster Kano"

She greeted, flashing him a smile before sitting herself down at the edge of the lake and flipping through her notebook. She had been hoping that she'd get a chance to observe Kano's water students for a while before the lesson, watching and sketching other elementalists at work was her favourite pastime this week. Moving past pages full of rough sketches, she stopped at a page full of writing, a letter in progress.

Sorry for not posting yesterday ^^' Had a few major issues in RL that took longer than expected to sort out >.<

Rain's lip twitched up as Andro laughed at her statement, though it was swiftly replaced by a scowl.

"Of course it was..." She grumbled "Gremlins, the lot of them"

Normally Rain would have caught Andro's shivering but with the heavy set thermal clothes and being rather self absorbed with her own problems she didn't notice...it was bad on her part, as a werewolf being in tune with others was a must.

The werewolf dropped her ski's on the floor and shook her head in answer to Andro's question. She leant forward and rested her hands on her thighs as she watched the gorgon clumsily do up her own. She was taken aback by Andro's gentle question and caught off guard by the smile that accompanied it, the werewolf wasn't convinced she deserved it. 'Not that it isn't welcome...' Realising that she had been staring for longer than the customary 10 seconds or so, Rain gave another curt nod.

"I think I got it..." She murmured, crouching down to fiddle around with the clips on her own ski's. It didn't take her long to get everything connected up...

"As ready as I'm ever going to be" She sighed, looking down at her feet to double check everything looked the same as Andro's set up.

Nothing could have prepared her for what was to come next as she tried to take a step forward, having not thought to pick up the poles that had come with the ski's, she started sliding backwards. With a startled yelp she threw herself forward and dug her fingers into the snow, her claws grazed against the frozen ground but didn't offer her the best traction...

Cue the helpful lift monitor who quickly pulled her back into her feet and handed both her and Andro a set of poles.

Rain's cheeks were flushed a light rosy color as she righted herself, which was a rare treat when it came to the confident werewolf.

"Sorry, that was...embarrassing. Caleb is the only one who should be pulling stunts like that" She apologised to Andro, looking away as she risked pushing her hair back behind her ear and attempted to move up to the lift. She couldn't put her finger on it but the fact she'd messed up in front of Andromeda of all people had flustered her all the more.

"So, moving on swiftly...how often did you and your mum go skiing?" She asked in an attempt to move on from her fumble as the guy set about getting them into the lift.

Rain turned the ski's over in her hands, amusement dancing across her eyes at Andro's sarcastic response. That being said Rain was considering herself lucky, if she had to go through with this, it helped being paired with someone easy on the eye and of the same mind.

"Just get it over with hmm..." Rain mused looking down at the ski's in her hand before following after Andro.

"Do you know who suggested this would be a good break?" She piped up after a few steps, glaring down at her feet as they dragged through the snow "Because if you do, remind me before the next full moon so I know who to maul"

Between Rain's awkward movement through the snow and her nearly losing a boot on the way up, the two ended up arriving at the lift around about the same time that their classmates were starting to get off at the other end.

Upon seeing the two seated carriage waiting for them at the crest of the snowy hill, Rain felt a small knot form in her stomach. She should have seen it coming but she hadn't really listened to the last thing the cheerful woman had said.

Rain exhaled a low grumbling growl as she came to stand next to Andro, giving the lift a distrusting look.

"Alright ladies, if you're going up, get your ski's on and hop into the lift" A guy stood by the lift called to them, waving them over.

"Ski's on?" Rain repeated looking at the contraptions in her hand before looking to Andro for guidance.

Powers

+Lunar Manipulation: = Rain can bend lunar energy to her will, though there are many other aspects of lunar manipulation so far she can only absorb and manipulate the energy/light of the moon into offensive abilities.
Concussion Beams: Release beams of solidified lunar energy/substances.
Formulated Lunar Blasts: Release blasts of lunar energy/substances in a form of a creature or object. (Often a wolf)
Lunar spheres: Create spheres of lunar energy that can fly around independently and act as a harmless decoration or light source. If more focus and time is put into them they can be charged enough to be used as a thrown weapon that explodes on impact.
Zap: A tiny short release of lunar energy/substances to cause pain or discomfort, usually too low-powered to be destructive.

+Werewolf Physiology =
Rain cannot change into a full werewolf unless the moon is full. She can pull through traits of her inner wolf into her human form however. Her jaw muscles strengthen and expand to make room for her top and bottom fangs to elongate and strengthen. She can also manipulate her vocal chords to imitate animal noises, such as roaring, growling and howling.

Generic power breakdown:
Retractable claws
Heightened Senses: Werewolves can smell, see and hear far better than humans.
Accelerated Healing: Werewolves heal quickly from most injuries.
Enhanced Agility: Werewolves can jump, run, climb and react faster than humans.
Enhanced Strength: Werewolves are much stronger than humans.
Pain Transference: Werewolves can absorb and alleviate pain from other people/creatures and can "heal" in some cases.
Memory Transference: Werewolves can transfer (give or take) memories by inserting claws into the nape of an individual's neck. This ability can also allow direct "mind to mind' communication.

Alpha pulse: - Alpha's can discharge their presence in a pulse. It triggers something in a Beta or Omega's brain that makes them want to submit regardless of how they're feeling or what they're doing. This can effect other species if they are naturally very submissive.
Space Heater: - Following the tradition that 'were's run hot' Rain's normal body temperature is higher than that of a human's. She's warm to the touch and copes well in colder climates. She is capable of altering her body temperature either bringing her temperature down a few degrees or bumping it up, though doing so requires effort and concentration.

Weaknesses

- WolfsBane = The effects of Wolfsbane vary depending on the type, amount and delivery method. It can cause hallucinations, weaken, render unconscious or kill werewolves.

- Full Moon = On the full moon Rain is forced into her werewolf form whether she wants to or not, during this time she is inflicted with a feral mind. Although she is unable to control her body at this time, she is aware of what it is doing and remembers every detail once she returns to her human form.

- Pack Mentality: = Rain believes everyone should work within a pack mentality, there should be a well rounded structure to how they work with an obvious chain of command. Because of this she doesn't understand nor like selfish individuals or people out for themselves and can struggle in social situations.

- Mortal instrument: = Despite living longer than most species, werewolves are far from immortal. Rain can still be killed by normal means such as decapitation, starvation etc.

- Electricity: = The steady application of low amperage or an irregularly high voltage jolt of electricity will keep werewolves weak and in full human form. If amped enough it has the potential of killing them unless they have the spark of an alpha.

- New Moon: = Rain can use her lunar powers during the day, providing that she has absorbed the moons rays the night before, like a solar lunar panel. On the night of the new moon she is unable to recharge meaning her powers will either be significantly weaker or non existent the next day. Note: If she is cut off from the moon by imprisonment or something similar and isn't able to soak in the moons rays her powers will weaken or she won't be able to use them.

- Space Heater: = Rain struggles to cope in hot places, considering her internal temperature is already fairly high and she can't cool down like a human. Not only does she have a lower than average amount of sweat glands, the thermostat in her brain is wired to react immediately to a drop in internal temperature and is far more forgiving on a rise, her internal temperature would need to climb 4 1/2 degrees before her cooling system kicks in. She wouldn't be at risk of overheating just yet but she'd be rather uncomfortable. The only way she can cool herself down before this is by finding external cold sources, panting like a canine or putting all of her focus into cooling her body temperature down.

Personality:

Rain is a generally calm person, she doesn't like confrontation but easily takes it in her stride. Despite her bestial origins she is a fairly patient person and has trained herself to take a lot of jip without reacting in a negative way . She does have triggers like everyone else but she tries to keep them well guarded. She's wise and strategic, able to perceptively find loopholes in table top organisation or out in the field.

She isn't fond of beating things around the bush, she prefers to be honest and upfront with people whether it hurts them or not. She has a slight heroic drive, but isn't as open minded about it, she'll do what she can but won't always push herself unless its someone whom she considers to be within her pack or someone she cares deeply for.

Rain is used to living a certain way, she's used to being relied on and being under the constant burden of responsibility, this can make her come across as a bit of a bore to other people. She has become a bit of a workaholic and is in need of a reminder of what its like to let go and have fun.

It should be noted that Rain isn't as well versed in interaction with people outside of her pack, as her species has grown independent from the world they have developed more efficient ways of communicating. Often through their body language and scent, for example, its difficult to lie to a werewolf because they can detect the increase and decrease in a persons pulse.

Background:

The biggest misconception of the werewolves is that they are nothing more than mindless beasts, feral to their core.

Werewolves are in fact divided into many different species and cultures, most of which are far more sophisticated then they are given credit for. Rain hails from a pack of mountain dwellers living on the outskirts of civilisation, though in the past they have stayed hidden away, living independently from the rest of society. Her packs alpha and father Esbjorn has been working hard to encourage his brethren to look outside of their tight knit communities and consider making contact with outsiders.

Rain was born and raised up in the mountainous range of RĂșnboreal away from civilisation. She has spent her entire life in this region, living within her pack. When she turned sixteen she took the rite of maturity as is customary of her people, during this time it was hit or miss as to whether she was going to survive. The risk for females taking the rite is significantly higher than males, they struggle to control their wolves as they tend to be far more violent than males.

Being the current alphas daughter a lot is expected of her, as her people have grown and adapted to the world around them, they have introduced new customs to run alongside the old ones. Often discarding the more barbaric customs, one of these is the crowning of new alphas. Whereas before any werewolf could try to dethrone their alpha if they so wished be this through cut-throat or honourable means, now alphas must choose a descendant. Rain is her fathers chosen descendant which is both an honour and a burden.

When she was sixteen she came across a rather influential werewolf, Piper, at the annual meeting of the packs. The two hit it off instantly, Piper was new, rebellious and...free, unlike Rain herself. It was during this time the young werewolf came to terms with her sexuality and began a dangerous affair with the other woman. Unfortunately, the werewolves haven't embraced everything the modern world has to offer them, for example homosexuality is forbidden within their culture. Two years into their touch and go relationship Rain and Piper made a mistake and were caught out, this resulted in Piper being executed. To set her on the path of redemption the pack demanded that Piper's life was ended by Rain's hand.

Rain has spent the last year grieving for the loss of her mate and attempting to make up for her 'mistake'. With her father nearing the end of his time, she is still expected to take over as his predecessor but has a long way to go if she is to regain the trust of her pack. Despite knowing this Rain has been struggling to live up to the packs demands. With the insightful help of Mercedes Clueman, an old friend of Esbjorn, the decision was made to send Rain to Athalia Academy. Being of the persuasive sort, Mercy was able to talk Esbjorn around to the decision assuring him time away from her pack would help her heal and take the first step towards integrating the packs back into society. Though Mercy hasn't yet returned to the academy, she is responsible for getting Rain there and is listed as an emergency contact should it be needed. Rain had little to no objections about going away to the academy, though it'd be safe to say she's both concerned and excited for what's to come.

Other:

- Sorry boys, Rain is gay. She is very open about her sexuality away from her pack, her superiors believe it is just a phase she is going through. They do not mind her having 'flings' but they won't accept her imprinting on an outsider or a female.
- She can play the piano and is very efficient with a bow, she was taught archery by Mercedes Clueman who is also listed as her emergency contact whilst she attends the academy.
-Rain always wears a long chain necklace with a fang shaped vial. The vial contains a sample of her own blood taken during her coming of age ceremony, it is a symbol of her maturity among her people.
- Rain is a direct descendant of the 'first' or 'father' werewolf of her people. Whom came to be after stealing a magical wolf-skin cloak from the pair Sigmund and Sinfjotli and drinking the blood of Fenrir before the tenth day, binding his spirit with that of the monstrous wolf.

Let me know if that post isn't okay! Kind of just tried to jump straight into interaction, but didn't want too much to happen before Andro got a chance to react ^^'
