Good morning/afternoon to you as well Lillian, as for the offer of a carrot muffin I will politely decline.

I love the diverse characters people are coming up with and think that my druid may have just found his ideal partner to work on several cases with, a Dryad and Druid tag team so to speak lol.

Name: Dr Kinnon Blair

Gender: Male

Type: Immortal druid

Age: 33 (appears) over 500 (actual)

Appearance: Kinn stands at five feet eleven inches in height, he has a lean athlete's build more akin to that of an olympic level swimmers than a bodybuilders. His eyes are a dark brown which lighten to a honey hue when he is communing with nature. Shoulder length light brown hair that he inherited from his mother's side of the family frames a face that is rather bland in appearance. He has a traditional tattoo on the middle of his back called a Triskellion, it means blessed by the druids. Kinn's mannerisms are business like and efficient.

Powers/Traits: Besides from being Immortal, immune to both death and disease, Kinn has learnt over his long life the druids ways at communion with all of natures creations. He is also able to manipulate the weather/ control elements but does not like to do so unless it is under the most extreme of circumstances. He has a vast knowledge of herbal lore and that gathered with his mastery of modern medicine makes him a great Doctor of both natural and Supernatural means.
Kinn has also gathered a vast knowledge of almost every known Supernatural being encountered.
He has no super strength or speed a limited knowledge of combat and no actual combat experience, which leaves him at a disadvantage when it comes to field work, he has to rely on the muscles of the company.

Background: Born in Scotland in 1495, Kinnon Blair and twin brother Keir lived in a small homestead with their mother, father grandparents and a widowed aunt. All of these people worshipped the Earthmother, Gaea. Kinnon showed at an early age an aptitude for healing and a keen understanding of nature, his brother Keir also had a keen understanding for nature, but his other aptitude was a lot more sinister, for where Kinn was the healer, Keir reveled in death. In 1513 Scotland lost over 10,000 men in the Battle of Flodden, they also lost their Monarch, King James iv. It was on this year, the twins 18th birth year that Keir found something that would forever change their lives.

An elixir, believed to be made from a ground up piece of the fabled philosopher's stone found it's way into his hands. He was eager to try it out but dared not drink it before testing it, unfortunately for Kinn, he was the chosen guinea pig. After tricking his brother into drinking the potion, disguised in a mug of mead, Keir buried his brother and left him for four days. During this time the elixir had done it's work. Sustaining Kinn through the four day burial and instilling him with the power of immortality.

Kinn was appalled at this revelation, Keir could not understand why his brother despaired, Kinn however, fully immersed in the old ways of the druids understood that he had become an abomination of nature and left immediately to seek a cure.

It was about 100 years later when he discovered the Bain and Hoyle company, he has worked for them ever since in hopes that his research alongside their resources would finally allow him to find a cure so he could return the balance back to nature.

Other: Kinnon Blair actually means fair-born child of the fields, whilst his brother Keir means Dark child of the fields.
Thank you all. I will get to writing and let the final decision rest with the GM.
thank you for the quick reply. I do realize that Druidism has nothing to do with summoning storms etc, however I thought that seeing as this world is full of fantastical creatures a little creativity would be allowed.

If my concept of a druid in this (veiled world) is not appropriate then I can always come up with another character.
I am very much still interested in joining in this roleplay, especially if there is this much interest and everyone stays for the duration.

I just wanted to know if you thought a druid would fit into the story. By druid I mean the can control the elements, commune with all plants and animals type of character.
Maybe even going so far as to make him the medical expert for the team if there is not already one coming out of the woodwork.

If the idea of a druid sounds alright I will continue with the character sheet I have started.
If not then I will have to come up with another character.
I like the various characters already submitted, I will definately have to step up my game with my own character sheet. Really looking forward to this one.
Interest given. Possible character ideas forming already.
Posted my opening, thought I would start with a bit of backstory. That and I did not know how else to begin. Opening posts are difficult lol.
Coleson Grant
Location unknown

The rain had obscured the escaped prisoners footprints, their scents were faint and the group on horseback only had the guards word that they were heading in the right direction.

"So we seem to have lost the prisoner's trail. Not a very promising start to such an auspicious career as a squad leader."

The speaker was a slim built middle-aged vampire. His face hidden underneath a hood to keep the rain out of his face, he was known as Argent. He was the oldest of the group yet he was not in charge, it was this reason that he dared speak his mind to the leader, he had taught the upstart all there was to know about their enemy, yet the council had placed this junior vampire in charge. It galled him to say the least, but there was not a lot he could do about it...not yet at least.

"You know full well that we have not lost the trail, we will find them and they will regret their decision to run."

Coleson looked up at the mounted men, he had dismounted his horse to take a closer look at the ground, something about how swift the tracks had disappeared was not sitting right with him, no matter how heavy the rain was, the whole area looked like it had been wiped clean. He ran a hand over his face in an attempt to smooth his features. Argent was picking fault with him and in a way, Coleson understood that the older vampire was jealous but there was a time and place to let emotions get in the way. He was a little surprised at how unprofessional Argent was being.

The other vampires in the group were all well trained and used to taking orders from various squad leaders, they were all death dealers, the elite soldiers for the coven, it was their responsibility to hunt down strays, either the Lycan's that threatened the glorious vampire rule, or the human cattle that the coven kept as food and pleasure slaves.
They all carried silver weapons, were trained with deadly efficiency with their uses and eager to prove just how superior the vampire race was.

"One more hour and we will have to head back and take the other path, I do not want us to be stuck out here with only a couple of hours before dawn, especially if this weather holds."

His orders were cut off before they reached the third vampire. A howl cut through the night, followed by another and then a third. Coleson turned back to his horse and grabbed the hilt of his sword, before he had time to draw the weapon however, a large form knocked into him and he felt himself falling, the mud-soaked earth along with the steep incline turned his stumble into a headlong fall. His fall became even more dangerous as Coleson's head smacked painfully hard against a large partly buried rock.
His vision began to blur and he managed to turn his head enough to see what had happened to the rest of his group. Coleson's heart, which was as undead as he was, would have skipped a beat if it could. The entire countryside was overflowing with furry forms, Lycans had taken out the group. Even the legendary Argent was nowhere to be seen.

Coleson's eyes fluttered open, it had been several weeks since he had been allowed to rest long enough to dream, looking around at the cell he was in, Coleson was still unsure if that was a good thing. He had awoken several hours after the attack, his entire team gone, there had been five piles of ash and that was all that was left of the squad. Coleson knew he would have some serious questions to face when he returned. Unfortunately he was unprepared to fully face the unjust cruelty that the coven would lay on his shoulders. Especially since there had been a witness, Argent himself told the most damning story and even had the council believing that Coleson had coerced with the Lycans.

Coleson had been beaten to the point of true death, he had almost wished they end it. He would have gladly faced true death by the end of the third day. But that was when Leo had entered his cell and made him the offer. If Colseon had known better he would have taken the quick and relatively painless death offered by the sun.
I am still here just being all quiet like and sneaky sneaky lol
