Current Been a while, but I'm back. Just moved and no social life in the new place yet so I'll probably be around a lot.

My cat has been found guilty of laptopicide, using my very own jar of ice water as a murder weapon. I'll be back as soon as I can. At most, I'm looking at about a month with no personal computer.

Leaving town to visit my girlfriend, probably won't be around to post for a couple days. I'll be back in full by Wednesday.

Any possibility for the presence of Sobek, the Crocodile God?

I think I will try to avoid the presence of deities, though they may have an influence on the world over the course of the story.
New thread in the more appropriate subforum here: roleplayerguild.com/topics/89509-world..

@Hjalti@Levythelevy
For the past couple of years, I've had all these rulebooks for the World of Darkness games sitting around. Countless attempts at starting a chronicle with real-life friends have failed. So now, I poke this community in hopes that I'm not the only one out there familiar with these stories.

If you're not familiar with White Wolf's works, then you probably won't be suited well to this RP. I won't be using the rules systems, but each character should be based off of the appropriate book's rules and I would like the world and story to have the same general feel. I am more knowledgeable about the 'Classic' games, particularly Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage.

I am trying to bring all those games and more together in one dark world, having members of the various societies interact, fight, make friends, find allies, and destroy each other. The setting (which I am still working on) is going to be plenty dark and gritty, with space for all these supernatural beasties. Everything would of course happen in and around (and under) one city, big enough to support at least a small population of every kind of monster and magicker. Think of the Chicago described in the Dresden Files if you've read them. College campus, a hospital or two, large police police force, nearby woodland, and massive underground mostly forgotten by humans.

My intention is to have one or two of each 'species' interact with the others in this world for good or ill, and see what comes of it. Of course, the Technocracy, Sabbat, and other questionable factions are welcome and expected to make their appearance, possibly even as player characters. Not everyone has to be a 'good guy' here. There will come a darkness that threatens to consume all, and original sides may not matter in the end.

I will want (at least) one co-GM who knows at least as much as me about the WoD universe. Other than that I'm looking for at least four players besides myself before I start on the OOC.

(Old interest check)
Hmmmm... I'll think about it.

Which means I will most likely join.
"This way then. We'll catch up to the others as soon as you're ready." Using his free hand, Thomas felt along the wall as he led Katherin back towards the stairs, his bare feet making little noise. He stopped at the bottom of the stairs, moving his hand from the wall to the handrail.

"Our rooms are on the second floor, and there are ten steps. The doors to the rooms are on the right. Mine is the first, and the second is yours," he said before starting slowly upward. There was no reason to rush, and he didn't want either of them to fall. Moving along to the second door, he opened it and entered.

@KatherinWinter
I'm going to be doing a lot of reading over the next few nights to refamiliarize myself with a lot of things, but I will put up an official interest check later tonight. I'll see where things go from there.
@Hjalti I didn't recognize Scion at first, and upon looking it up I have discovered that it is not part of the WoD setting. I don't really know anything about it, but that does not mean I'm not willing to work with you to try and fit something in.
@Hjalti The end-tiers, such as godhood, ascension, or galconda, will be achievable by all appropriate characters. The same is true of completely losing your humanity or being torn out of the world by entropy, and the other terrible fates.

@Dead Cruiser For the most part, these characters should look ready to jump in at the beginning of any chronicle. Some will be more powerful, and I would prefer these to belong to the more knowledgeable and literate players. Of course, some may also be less powerful, as everyone being equal is simply boring.

And Old, though there will be elements of New. I know the Old material far better, but I don't want to exclude people just because of that.
