Aya perhaps wasn't entirely confident. This was just the start of the season, after all. Yet the thought of the plants she had found yesterday and her desire to keep Destin calm fuelled her reply of assurance. "Of course we'll be able to survive. Don't you worry about one thing. Look-" she picked up a spare bag from beside her bed. "I even have a bag for you to carry it in. So just forget all about what happened."
Destin begins crying again. "Aya you're so nice!" He sobs, before quickly composing himself. He sniffs and wipes his eyes with his arm. "I've never...never had anyone be so nice to me!" He looks a her. "You'll have to let me repay you somehow!" He says eagerly. "I could visit you every week at the border, and give you some of the herbs that don't grow on this side of the river! OR I could help you learn more about healing that I know and you don't know!"
