Hi there :D

Newb here, trying to learn the ropes.

Aya blushes as she walks back over to him and carefully pins something to his shirt. I hope he doesn't mind this... "I... Uh... Well, it can be quite dangerous in the forest you know so... I want to make sure I see you again... Uh..." She couldn't believe the difficulty she was having explaining herself. "This is my grandmother's so... If you wear it, it's supposed to keep you safe and then maybe... Well, I hope it'll mean that I can see you again." The ruby eyes of a tiny black owl broach glinted in the dim light of the tent.

Destin looks down at the broach and beams. "Oh my! It's beautiful Aya! Thank you!" He pulls her into a hug happily. He couldn't stop smiling. He breaks the hug and smiles warmly at her. "Of course I'll see you again." He then, for some unknown reason, kisses her smack on the lips. He then gasps. He steps back, face red. He then shifts and runs out of the tent.
Aya's curiosity was piqued, but she wasn't sure whether it was right to question her leader's past without her permission. "Is that so?" she asked unsurely, knowing very little about this. "It sounds like you've been here a while, Destin." Upon wrapping up the herbs Aya wishes she could give Destin something more. After this, who knows when they would meet again. Even though she'd promised to meet him, her limited knowledge of the Broms still made her fear that they might do something to him should they find out he'd spent the night at the Rabins. Struck by an idea, she sidled over to her bedside table and picked something up.

Destin nods firmly. "Yeah. Three..or four years now. Quite awhile.." He frowns in thought. "Hmm...I'm not sure. As long as I've known I could shift I've been here..." He then watches her curiously. "What do you have there?" He asks, unable to wait patiently. Oh gosh, did she get me a gift?? I never got anything for her...should I stay longer and try to make her something? I'm a horrible person!

Aya doesn't reply to Destin's compliment because it practically short circuits her for a moment. Nobody's ever called me pretty... Well, my parents, but that hardly counts. Did he mean it or was he just returning the favour? Why do I care so much about this? Instead she frowns as she begins to wrap the herbs they'd work on for Destin in a way that would keep them safe as he travelled and focuses on the first part of comment. "I've always wondered about Sacha's past. I only met her not long after she'd become leader. It's hard to imagine her getting into trouble that would wind up with her as a prisoner." She thought back to Sacha's shoulder injury. "Then again, she does have a knack for getting herself shot at or attacked."

Destin nods, listening to her. He watches her wrap up the herbs sadly, he knew soon he and Misha would likely be heading out. He looks at her and smiles brightly. She really is so pretty... He thinks to himself. "Oh, yeah her past. She's had a hard time. There was some...bad stuff with the second in command before her. Lots of drama. Sacha even got banished!" He grins. "It's all so dramatic!"

Hearing Destin praise Sacha so highly made Aya wonder about Fabine again, but she decided not to pry. "It sounds like you've been in this forest for a long time, Destin." she smiled. "How did you meet Sacha, anyway? She hardly seems the kind to converse with Broms, even one as sweet as you." She paused at her last sentence, surprised at the word which had slipped out. She quickly forced herself to think that the compliment was entirely normal and justified. After all, Destin was sweet. There was no denying it. Regardless, she hoped he didn't consider it too much.

Destin nods at her comment. "Yeah...awhile now." He shrugs, "I dunno. She had some..bad stuff happen to her before she became leader. I was going through some stuff with the Broms. We actually met when she became prisoner a long time ago. That was a horrible time, but I met one of my best friends so that makes it okay??" He blushes at the sweet comment and looks down shyly. "Oh, thanks Aya...you're...really pretty?" He kicks at the ground, horrible at taking compliments.
Ambrose returns to the Rabin camp. He hums to himself as he walks over to his tent. He tosses a few pieces of wood on the nearest fire as he walks past. He pauses to watch the flames dance in the low light. He exhales softly and heads to his tent, setting his sword in the corner. He looks around his tent and takes a mental note of the messes he needed to clean up. Piles of clothes, pieces of shattered wood from sparring practice, among many other things. He sighs and slips his shoes off before plopping onto his cot. He puts his arms behind his head, before closing his eyes.

Do you have anything in mind? XD
Ambrose nods. "Have a nice day!" He grins, waving at her as she leaves. He pulls out his sword and swings it a bit, before walking down the river to continue fishing. That was nice. Not often many people spend so long to just sit and talk with me! He thinks, stopping at a shallower part of the river to continue fishing.

Vera took his hand and shook it firmly with a nod. She paused and listened to him carefully. "No, we haven't had a second-in-command since I arrived," she sighed, then thought deeply for a moment. "I dunno, maybe I'll just talk to him or something?" she suggested hesitantly. "Let him know my intentions."

Ambrose nods, grinning at her. "The worst he can do is say no. And at least then you'll know for sure." He shrugs. "Even if Fabine is a murderous asshole, I'm sure he's not stupid. I'm sure he knows your group is weak without a second in command, and that you guys need one soon." He lets go of her hand. "I should get going."

Aya wasn't certain what Sacha would think, but she didn't want to see Destin sad again and it seemed that the smallest thing might set him crying again. "Of course she won't mind! You know how nice Sacha is." A confident tone and smile smoothed over any hesitation she felt. "Trust me, nobody would want to stop being friends with you. Besides, she let you stay didn't she?"

Destin brightens and nods happily. "That's true! Sacha's very nice." He nods firmly. "She's a great leader. Don't you think? she's been leader for only around two years and I think she's so much better than any other leader before her! You know, we've been friends for about 5 years now! Wow, time flies doesn't it! she's a great person and an awesome leader. You're so right, if she hated me she'd kick me out!"
<Snipped quote by Fionraella>

"Thanks," she sighed. Vera blinked and realized she still had no idea what the stranger's name was. "I'm Vera," she added, giving the Rabin a nod. After a moment of silence, she added hesitantly, "I know you barely know me and all, but honestly... Do you think I have any chance of becoming second-in-command?"

Ambrose sticks his hand out to her with a grin. "Ambrose's my name." He then shrugs a bit at her question. "Hard to say. You seem fierce and ambitious enough, but I don't know Fabine well enough to tell you if that's all he expects from a second-in-command." He pauses a moment. "Have you guys ever had a second-in-command since you've been there and do you think that you're just as good as they were?"
