Misha recoils immediately. Her head snaps to the side, but she doesn't look back up after he redraws. Instead, she grits her teeth and keeps her eyes to the ground. Her breath comes out sharply, despite her weak attempts to steady herself. When she finally looks back up, her shoulders are tense and her eyes acid. "You're a good guy," she says quietly, her voice frigid.

Ambrose quickly turns away. He had never hit anyone before. Hell, he had never really hurt anyone except in the battles between the two groups. His hand was throbbing slightly, but he didn't notice. Tears well in his eyes as he quickly wipes them away. "I didn't mean to hit you Misha." He whispers, voice shaking slightly. He clenches his hands into fists, trembling as he felt the truck stop. He scoots as far away from Misha as he can, hoping she couldn't see the tears now rolling down his cheeks.

Benjamin stretched his arms up and yawned. "Been a long trip. It's good to get this done." As soon as he said the words, he realised what returning would mean. "I guess we'll be back to the normal security routine, huh? These capture missions are the most exciting thing about the job." He frowns, thinking about the kids in the back of the truck. "Why don't we ever get to release 'em back, y'know? I reckon Boss thinks I've got too scary a face to put 'em back where we found 'em. Probably he gets a nice psych or something to calm 'em down and take 'em on a nice road trip first. Needles can make kids pretty scared." Although he takes note of her words he secretly thinks about the chocolate bar he has in his pocket. It wouldn't be too hard to sneak it into one of their hands. Extra sugar would help with any blood they were about to lose.

The woman nods, then sighs. "Yeah, patrolling the perimeter, helping the cooks make runs...great fun." She huffs slightly. "I think Boss likes the people who capture them to let them go? I dunno, this is my first mission, pretty exciting so far!" She grins at him, then laughs. "Do we even have psychs in our compound? I think...Harold is supposed to be good with kids, but I barely see him around anymore. We should definitely track him down and see what he knows about the releasing process..." She sighs, seeing the building up ahead. "It'll be nice to stretch our legs once again, I hate driving all night, I think I nearly fell asleep twice at the wheel, Boss surely would kill me if the crash didn't!" she chuckles lightly. She then blinks at the shouting. "Uh oh.." She slows to a stop. "Do you want to check on them or should I?"

Her nose wrinkled as she glared at him. She craned her neck so she could look "down" at him - though she couldn't quite reach that kind of height from where she sat. She blew air out through her nose in rage. "We're being kidnapped, you dick! Can you get off your high horse for a micro-milli-half-a-partial-second and stop treatin' me like some nasty villain?"

"I haven't done a single fucking thing to you!" Ambrose shouts, scooting closer. He glares at her angrily. "You make all these assumptions about me without even pausing to think that maybe I'M BEING KIDNAPPED TOO!" He shouts and then without thinking, slugs her in the face. His hand vibrates slightly from hitting her. His eyes widen and he quickly scoots away. "Oh gods, I am so so sorry!"

Misha slammed her fist down on the cold metal of the bottom of the car. "Excuse me, princess, but you're the one feelin' sorry for yourself!" She pulled back and crossed her arms, glaring at him with fire in her eyes. "Right, right. I'm evil, they're evil, you're perfect and you ain't never done anything wrong."

Ambrose feels his blood run down at the insult. Does she know...how could she...I hide it so well. No one except Sacha even knows. He glares coldly at her. "We're in a very cramped space, and you've got me really, REALLY pissed off. Unless you don't shut the fuck up right now, I'm going to punch you." He warns. "I never did a single fucking thing to you, and yet you blame me for all the shit in your life." He growls.
Benjamin shakes his head at the thought of them. "Well, at the end of the day they're just employees... Who knows how many of 'em will actually be able to use the final, uh, thing that whatever all these experiments are about comes up with. They don't have that guarantee of blood relation like we do." He scratches his head thoughtfully. "My old man said something similar. What are we, like cousins twice-removed or something? Ah, I guess it doesn't really matter. Important thing is that Boss trucks on and we get these guys back to home base. You'll get your icey vacation, don't you worry." He frowns at the bang on the window behind them. "Do we need to feed 'em or anything?"

The woman nods. "Exactly. I don't even know if Boss even plans to try it on them anyway. He might just kick them out when this is all done..." She chuckles, nodding. "Yeah. I was told that your aunt was married to my dad's cousin or something like that, I don't even remember." She shrugs and turns onto a dirt road. "We're almost to base, we should be pretty safe from here on out." She glances at the window. "Nah, that tranquilizer stuff is supposed to kill their appetite. If anything, we'll give them water when we get there."

Misha opened her mouth and gestured to herself in abject exasperation. "Me? Shitty?" She spat at him. "Shittier than the assholes who just kidnapped us?" She closed her eyes and huffed. "I'm so glad you'd rather get human trafficked than talk to me. Really helps my self esteem."

Ambrose growls. "You are the shittiest person, Brom or not, that I've ever fucking met. I'm a genuinely nice person, but here you are, giving no shits that we're captured!" He turns on her, hands balled into fists. "You're a dumbass. There is no way in hell this is human trafficking! We are shifters! Don't you fucking get that?? Obviously these people are evil, but we're not being trafficked. So how about you stop talking about poor wittle Misha, and fucking think of a way out of here."
<Snipped quote by Fionraella>

She threw up her hands and collapsed against the tailgate. "Sorry! Can't help!" She put on a nasally voice. "Too busy being vile and nasty and evil." She stared at him with 2% pity, 98% salt. "I betcha wanna go home, now, huh? How do you think I feel?"

Ambrose scoffs. "Whatever." He then groans, forcing himself to his feet. He winces as his head hits the top of the trunk. He grumbles and crawls forward, before banging on the window separating them from the drivers. "Hey! I'm dying back here and some bitch is giving me a headache! Can I ride with the two of you?" He then shoots a venomous glare at Misha. "I don't have time to deal with shitty people."
Benjamin laughs a little, glad that someone else shared his dislike of the scientists. "It'll be good to be rid of 'em when were done with all this. Ah, I'm looking forward to some personal time. Raise or not, Boss pays pretty well. Maybe I'll vacation by the beach. Hey, if I can shift maybe I'll be a bird! Free airfare for me!" He grins at the thought of it. "Don't you worry 'boot Boss, okay? He's got it under control. The bloke's had more stabs in the arm then a junkie after all those attempts. If he's still standing after all that, I reckon he's fine. Plus if he can run a business, he's gotta be doing well."

The woman nods, smiling a bit. She looks up at the rising sun, nodding. "Yeah, they're annoying and pompous, I'm sick of them acting like God's given children. Seriously, just get out." She shakes her head, then laughs. "A beach huh? I'd like to go somewhere cold. Like the top of Mount Everest! That would certainly be something." She then sighs. "It's hard not to worry about the old man. He is related to us by blood...somehow. Mom explained it once, but I never quite understood how the whole family tree thing worked..." She then nods a bit. "Yeah, he'll hopefully not be dying on us anytime soon!"
Benjamin shrugged uncertainly, casting his eyes to the road ahead. "I don't know about you, but if I was gonna take blood I'd stuff it up. I break enough darts when I put them into my tranq gun." He held up his hands for a second, examining their large and rugged appearance. "And those scientist blokes certainly can't get blood out in the field. They'd fall over themselves or get attacked by a bee." Truth be told, Benjamin didn't really know the scientists all that well but the ones he'd spoken to seemed to laugh at the way he spoke or generally be unkind. He'd repay the favour in full. "Eh, I like seeing Boss happy. If he don't like the sun, he don't like it. 'sides, at his age going outside won't do him any good. Last time I saw him y'know he spoke like this-" He put on a shaky old man voice, "-I'm so close! So close!" He switched back to his own voice. "See? Real excited like. I think he's fine."

The woman shrugs slightly. "That's true. I'm not a huge fan of blood...I probably would have passed out, making a huge mess of trouble for you!" she then giggles slightly. "They are kind of pathetic aren't they? I mean..I asked one to come help me cook one night, and they basically said that they didn't want to get a third degree burn because of their precious skin. Like seriously, what the hell." She then sighs. "He's getting a little old to be leading us, don't you think? I'm worried that with all the shifting genes or whatever, it might be messing with his brain..."
Reacting in a split second to his accusation, Misha scrambled towards him, fingers taut to emulate claws. "What's that s'posed to mean, asshole?" She narrowed her eyes to icy slits. "Sure, I'm the bad guy!"

Ambrose opens his mouth to reply, but moans as they go over a bump. His head feels like it's splitting and he curls up into fetal position. "You Broms are evil." He squeezes his eyes shut. "I need ibuprofen or something." He whimpers. "Or for this fucking truck to stop so I can puke. I don't even know right now."
