Hi there :D

Newb here, trying to learn the ropes.

Ambrose looks between the two figures. "You mean cut out a piece of skin or something like that? No thanks!" He tries to shift, seeing an opening between the pair. His heart races as he finds himself not turning into a bad. "what did you do to us??" He growls, glaring at the man. "Why can't I shift??" He glances at Misha. "When I get them distracted, run for help." He whispers, before lunging at Benjamin.
Ambrose sighs as the light enters the trunk. "Finally!" He scoots towards them slowly. "Please tell me that you're going to let us out! I can't stand being in this cramped, dark...thing with her anymore!" He pauses, hoping they wouldn't take him for a threat. "If I shift, can I come out? I'm just a little...rat?"

"Well, be happy knowing your in good company when it comes to mistakes." Benjamin laughs, wondering briefly if it ran in the family. He gratefully accepted the tranq gun, glad that it was already loaded. The last thing he wanted to do was to break more of the precious darts. "Okay, let's open her up and hope the two of 'em don't jump for it straight away. Actually, open it up real slow like. Maybe we can just peek in first."

The woman nods and chuckles slightly. "That's always a nice thing to know." She then nods, inserting the key into the keyhole and turning it slowly. "Alright. On three. One. Two...Three!" She opens it slowly, trying to peek into the dark trunk without letting either of the two shifters see her or try to escape.

Benjamin looks annoyed at the thought of some of the members of their so-called 'family'. "Just ignore 'em cuz. Some family just get a bit bothered with each other 'cause we've been together so long. It helps if they turn a blind eye to that relationships." He sighs, relinquishing to her idea. "Yeah, we better. I just hope we don't have to use it. You know I once jabbed myself with one of my darts? Stuff was so disorientating when I woke up... I'd rather not give 'em two bursts of it. Who knows how they feel right now."

The woman nods. "Yeah, I supposed you're right." She sighs heavily. "I think it's partially due to being cooped up for so long, since Boss doesn't want anyone wandering off..." She then smiles. "Yeah I think I've done the same. I've done some pretty stupid stuff since I started preparing for this.." She heads to the front of the truck and grabs her tranq gun. After checking that it had darts left, she walks back over, handing it to Benjamin. "I'm betting you're a better aim than i am."
<Snipped quote by Fionraella>

"Don't you worry." He gives her a confident thumbs up. "The only person who remembers you making a fool out of yourself is you, cuz." He thinks a moment on the nickname. "Can I call you cuz? I guess if we are cousins in some manner it's an appropriate title." Before she answers he bangs on the door of the truck. "You kids okay in there? I know this is a bit scary but... Well, there's a good reason for it!"

The woman nods. "Cuz is fine." She smiles a bit. "Feels like many in our family don't treat each other as family, so it's kind of nice to...talk about it even just a little bit." she looks at the trunk and crosses her arms a bit. "Should I grab a tranq gun...just in case?"

Benjamin raises an eyebrow at the look on her face. "Maybe give it a go. If I really thought one of those scientists were worth going for, I'd take my best shot. Nothing wrong with trying y'know? No matter how out of your league this someone is." He offers her his hand to shake. "I'll be your wingman any day, got it? I can talk you up to anyone you like."

The woman brightens happily. "Thanks, I appreciate that Ben." She takes his hand and shakes it firmly. "And if you ever find someone you like, let me know, I'd gladly do the same for you." She sighs a bit. "I just hope you're right...I don't want to make too big of a fool of myself, you know?"
<Snipped quote by Fionraella>

Benjamin opens the door, letting out a sigh of relief as he stretches his legs. The area they were in was quite secluded, canyon walls on one side and a steep cliff on the other. There'd be little place for the kids to run should they try to escape. Even if they could shift into something that could fly or run fast, the tranquiliser in their systems would keep them from transforming for some time. He laughs at her questions. "Eh, it's pretty hard to keep track of anyone when there's a pretty high chance you may or may not end up in the bed of someone you're related to. None of those scientists would turn their head towards a guy like me." He let out a low whistle at the thought of one person. "Although... You see that lapdog the Boss keeps with him these days? Don't know if he's part of the family or not but damn. He's got a body." He follows her around to the back. "Yourself?"

The woman nods. "That's fair, it is..sometimes hard to remember that we're all related for the most part." She huffs a bit, shaking her head. "Those scientists don't deserve you at all, that much is for sure." She giggles a bit. "Lapdog? You mean sexy shirtless dude? Yeah, he's super hot." Her face turns red. "I mean...sure there's someone, but they'd never give me a time of day..."

"Don't know about you, but I spent most of my life around the group and stuff. It made learning to drive anywhere but around a circular track a little hard." Benjamin shook his head at the memory. "My ma took me out a couple times, probably when she wasn't supposed to, so at least I got a bit of road experience. I'm glad it's at least pretty deserted around here. Be prepared for an incredibly slow drive from this point on." He grinned at her. "Eh, when Harold was a teenager he was quite the looker. I could see him grabbing one of those scientists." He gestures to a spot by the side of the road. "Good idea. I mean, we're quite reasonable folks. Let's stop here."

The woman chuckles at that. "No complaints there." She pulls over to the side of the road and stretches her arms over her head. "Your mom sounds like a great woman." she smiles at him warmly before parking, and pulling the key out of the ignition. "Definitely, and those scientist ladies are pretty smoking." She grins. "Do you have your eyes on anyone in the compound?" she asks, genuinely curious as she gets out and shuts her door before heading to the back to unlock the trunk.
Misha shoots him a glare but ignores his words, instead choosing to focus on the rough rumbling of the truck collapsing into slow, slow, and then a stop as the wheels trekked across the gravel. Oh, you meant it, she thought, nails digging into her palms. She poised herself to attack their captors, if needed - but really she just felt tired. She wanted to sleep, not brave another fight.

Ambrose sighs as he waits for the two outside. "Misha, on a scale from 1 to pissed, how angry are you?" He asks quietly. As much as he was sure Misha hated him, he still wanted to try to reach some peace. Otherwise, this would be a very long...whatever amount of time they'd be stuck together. He quickly glances at her to see how she looked, only managing to catch a glimpse of her in a position to attack.

Benjamin gives her a hearty pat on the shoulder. "Welcome to the club then! Security was my speciality for most of time in the organisation but the other week I was doing shooting practice and one of the head honchos comes in and tells me my sharp shooting can earn me the upgrade on out of here. Not Boss - one of his lackeys, y'know? Then I talk to Boss and here I am!" He gives 'hmph' at the name Harold. "Guy buries himself in work more than Boss. I heard the kid rumour too though - maybe he's a dad or something? At least finding him'd give us something to do. Anyway, thanks for taking the wheel. Tell you what, let's both get out and I'll drive for a little while. I managed to catch a few Z's." He frowned at the noise behind them. "What exactly do we do? Can't have 'em escaping and one of the scientists said something about not giving too many tranq doses."

The woman chuckles slightly, before nodding. "That's pretty cool. I was mostly a store runner, you know getting supplies and stuff. And apparently they needed a driver, who actually knew their way around here. Apparently most people don't drive or don't know anything around here. so I got desginated driver." She giggles. "Must be, or something like that, not really sure. But we're mostly family in the compound now, for some reason Boss doesn't have a lot of outsiders other than the scientists? So maybe one of them had Harold's kid I'm not sure.." She then nods. "Sounds like a plan. Maybe we could just see what's going on? If we're civil they might listen to us."
