All accepted, save for the last one, sorry. When you finish it, I'll accept it.
There's still plenty of room left, we'd be happy to have you!

Haha, thanks for that!

Plot In A Nutshell (TL;DR):

After a large cruise ship sinks, the passengers and crew members are left afloat in the vast ocean. Some are lucky enough to wash ashore on a tropical island.

They convene and put together some sort of civilization, but trouble brews when peoples start to doubt those in charge. Not only that, but an unknown force inhabits the island, scattering what little mind they have left.

It's important to note that the Captain is not the center of the RP, I just wanted to write from his perspective.

Rules:
In general, don't be a jerk.
PG-13.
I don't really care about cussing, so do whatever you want with that.
Let's keep genders and positions even please. No five medics, and one musician and engineer.
Captain's pretty important to initial post, if anyone wants to scoop up that position. Not much during RP, though, unless character(s) prefer.
Based around 1926, so nothing modern and fancy like that.
I wrote the Captain as a "he", because considering the time, they probably would not have allowed a woman to be a Captain.

Mine ((And to be clear, I didn't grab the Captain position at the start. He was relevant to the plot, so he kinda had to be alive...))

Name: Joseph Leonardo Ghent
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Fears:
Thunderstorms/Hurricanes ((Especially at sea.))
Loss ((As is the things he has grown attached to.))
Reptiles ((They're freaky as shit, tho.))
Position: Captain
Personality: Normally strict and very "by-the-rules", he can usually relax after a few glasses of wine, or bottles of beer. He wouldn't describe himself as a heavy drinker, but he really is, though certainly not on the job. He gets attached to things and people very quickly, and when they leave, or he looses them, he's usually hurt emotionally. To combat this, he's formed sort of a barrier around himself, and hesitates to get attached to anyone, or anything. But to those who have managed to slip past, he holds very dear to his heart, and in contrast to his normal personality is very gentle and kind with them. Armed with a sharp tongue, he really is built for commanding, holding firm in his beliefs and own sense of justice.
History: His father was a fisherman, who constantly brought him to sea with him to work. Joseph found he loved everything about it, and was determined to become the Captain of a boat. However, one day his father was out at sea when a hurricane struck, making him realize the dangers that life at sea brought. Though this was indeed a scary thought, he persisted. However, there was the matter of World War I, and he was draft in the middle of his schooling to become a Captain in the first place. After, he worked hard to graduate and this is his first real large job, and is fairly new at being a Captain, really.
Pic/Description:

Other: Has multiple scars from his time on the battlefield, though he usually tries to cover them.
Also has a strange love for cats.
I also did kinda base this off Titanic as well, and according to what I've heard, a short while after, it was made regulation to have as many lifeboats that will fit all the passengers. So, titanic was around 1912, but also wouldn't like this to be near WWI... so let's say around 1926.

I'm glad you're interested! I'm actually surprised people like this idea~
Hahahaha long post ahead, prepare your eyeballs for all the text.

Plot:

Alarms sound.

Lights flash.

Screams.

Crying.

Tears.

"I'm sorry, there aren't enough boats for everyone. Woman and children first." The Captain says unusually calmly, opening the door to one of the few lifeboats on the side of the ship.

"And what of you Captain!?" a concerned Passenger asks frantically before she boards.

"Why, the Captain always goes down with his Ship, m'dear." he answers calmly as he let goes of the only rope holding the lift boat to the starboard side. He can only smile and wave as the small raft floats away.

Music plays in the background, a sad tune that is mostly overlooked by the frantic people aboard.

"Lovely music, sirs," the Captain compliments the band, who just finishes the piece, "but if I might inquire, you make no attempt to save yourselves as well?"

The Violinist of the group smiles as he lays to rest his trusty instrument. "We are musicians, my good man, and a musician's one and only job is to entertain the people. Who are we if not that?"

The Captain is taken aback, but smiles and pats the man on the back and wishing him well before leaving to check the rest of his ship.

As expected, it is chaos. A tragic sight for anyone to see, but he can only bare through it all. He strolls the deck, offering comfort and a friendly word to any who will listen.

But then a shrill voice cries out, "There are no more Life Boats!"

Crying and sobbing becomes louder than before. Prayers are being muttered left and right, while others curse the Heavens.

With s small shake of his head, the Captain readjusts his cap before making his way to the very front of the ship. With his hands clasped behind his back, he stares into the lowering sun, splattering the sky a beautiful orange-pink hue.

Soon after, others join him. First his Crew, then other passengers, staring into the last sunset they would ever see.

"It's been a pleasure working with all of you," the Captain says, turning toward the Crew. "I'm just sad this is the last time it shall ever happen."

As the ship's bow sinks lower to the ground, the Captain lifts a hand to salute to those whose eyes rest upon him.

Slowly, one by one, they return the gesture, shaking hands and teary faces greet him.

Then, and only then, does the Captain allow himself to shed a tear.

~

The Captain slowly opened his eyes, greeted by a bright blue sky he though he would never see again. Surprised, he lays there for a while before picking himself up, much to the protest of his aching bones.

He observes the area he was stranded on, a beach of some sort. Tropical, he could tell by the various fruit trees. A lovely place, really, if he was on vacation, which he sadly wasn't.

Hopefully he wasn't the only one there. Solitude was ever the Devil's Curse.

He began to pace the beach, calling out names of his ever loyal Crew, of passengers he happened to know, anyone.

And as fate would have it, he wasn't so alone anymore.

It was perhaps both fortunate and unfortunate that he had found others. Yes, the company of others is oh so enjoyable, is it not?

But as the struggle over the right to power escalates, it is ever so painfully revealed the true Nature of Mankind.
