"Good, good," Joseph said, taking a seat beside her, "The man you met said you didn't look too well, have a look over yourself, will you? The rough see has left its mark on all of us." He smiled and stood up again, straightening his tie, which he was surprised had staid on his body since the crash. "In the meanwhile, we should hope that other people will find us, or perhaps just stumble upon us," he paused, "And not to mention the issues of food and water. It's lucky this island as a whole seems to be quite ripe in abundance of food." He placed his hands on hips and looked around them solemnly at the thick jungle in front of them. Yes, it was true that there seemed to be plenty of fruits lying on wait, but the real issue was water. Yes, it was a curse to be surrounded by such an abundance of it, yet it was all undrinkable! Curses!

Perhaps they could drink from coconuts? He had heard that there was a sort of liquid akin to water hidden inside them, and even if it wasn't ideal, it was the best thing they had. "I would say to split up and look for food, but I hardly believe that's a wise decision. We lost so many I do indeed doubt it would be wise to lose more people." Joseph ran a hand through his tangled, disheveled hair, brushing out a few of the many knots that had collected in it. "But perhaps if we keep along the coast, we have a chance of finding something there."

Suddenly, there was a scream, loud and piercing, ripping through the air. Joseph frowned, his eyebrows drawing together in worry, a million different situations running through his mind. "We should find whoever screamed," was he immediate reaction, and he voiced his opinion, despite not wanting to separate. But, they didn't have to, right? "Alana, you can still walk correct? We should make our way to whoever that was. Perhaps they need help, and they sounded but a short walk away."
So, for the next two days, I may or may not be able to post. Sorry about the inconvenience! Something has come up, but I'll try to post if I can! After it's over, everything will be normal again!
Sorry, but for the next two days, I may o may not be able to post. Something has come up, and I'll try to reply if I can, but I can reassure you that it'll be normal again after that!
For the next two days, I may or may not be able to post. I'm sincerely sorry, but I'll try to answer if I can! However, it's a short period of time, and after it'll be normal again!
"Sorry if that makes me seem a little weird," Felicia apologized with a slight smile, noticing his rush to leave the room, "But, please understand, there's not much else for me to do around here but talk and study." She took another small taste of tea before setting the tea cup and saucer off a little to the side. It made a soft sound as it lightly hit the metal of the tray, making a sort of ring. "You may look up, if you wish, and tell me about yourself. I'm quite interested in the new face around the house, if you can't tell. I like to know the people around here a little bit if I'm to spend time on the same property as them."
Naomi paused at the first sight of the rifle. He was armed, and she was not, and if she remembered anything from her days as a street rat, it was never to provoke someone who had the upper hand. Never. Pride and morals be damned, if you wanted to survive, you would take that advice. "Er, wrong way," she muttered, waving a little to distract him from the cactus he was facing. But at least he seemed to have heard her, which was good, she guessed. "But, I'm not armed, see?" She raised her hands in the air, proving they held no weapons within reach. Besides, she was pretty sure whatever weapons she had were blown off her body and either in smithereens, or so buried under all the rubble that she had no hope of finding them in time to fight back, if he decided to shoot.

A quick look over told her that he was partially enhanced, if that was the right word, but anyone could see that. It wasn't hard to miss, most people would have been immediately drawn to augments in the first place. He probably had an eye, if the fact he had been facing the wrong direction told him anything. There was probably something else too, people who had implants tended to have more than one. She could tell he was tall as well, even from a distance, easily enough to tower over her relatively short stature. Some scars too. She wouldn't deny it, she was curious as to where they were from. After all, scars told stories, and she always enjoyed listening to a tale or two in her free time.

"Oh sorry, I haven't exactly answered your question, have I?" Naomi suddenly remembered, rolling back onto the heels of her feet. "Well, I'm Naomi, Naomi Lyons if you want to get technical. Well, I'm female, uh, if that does any good. Mercenary, but I can assure you I don't have any interest in attacking you right now. If I was the person who did this, I wouldn't be stupid enough to catch myself in the explosion." She nodded to the covered wound on her arm. "And... Well, actually, that's all the information I can really disclose for right now. You know how the business is."
Sorry! I misunderstood the question! That's a good idea! Maybe it just seems like they just left, leaving everything just out in the open, as if they just mysteriously vanished! Haha, I won't try to take credit for that, because I read something similar in a mystery book!

Again, sorry! I had a paper to write, and I still have a few more! My replys may be a little on the slow side for the next two days, but that's only because I have schoolwork to be making up! After that, everything will be normal!
Jack finished loading up the back of the pickup truck, pulling up the gate and locking it shut. Everything they needed for the next week was in there, as well as the small trailer attached to the very end of it. Besides their luggage, which actually took up much of the space, they had to bring enough food to last them a week, and perhaps more, and lots of alcohol, of course. It was spring break, and they weren't getting any younger. "Alright, that's the last of it, hope you haven't forgotten anything, because we sure a hell ain't gonna turn back around." he laughed, climbing into the driver's seat of the truck. He had appointed himself driver, and being the stubborn guy he was, had insisted on being such. Well, it wasn't that he could make the whole trip, the house they had decided on was a long ways away, deep into the countryside, and about a half mile from any other people. "But seriously, double check it, and hit the toilet before we leave, it's a pretty long drive, and we wanna get there before tomorrow afternoon."

Scarlett couldn't help but grin as she climbed into the back seat of the truck, letting someone else take the passenger's side. After all, they hadn't seen each other in a while now, and she would consider her the type of person who didn't exactly like to let friends go so easily. It had struck her pretty hard when they had a falling out during college, but now that they had reconnected again, it made her, well, elated! "Oh God, you guys," she giggled, "This is gonna be so great! Like, just so erstaunlich*!" She clicked the seat belt in place and leaned back into the soft cushions of the seats, pulling her feet up to rest on the chair with her. "And it's supposed to be a really nice house too, everyone who stays there says it's a nice place!"

*amazing
Lyra shrugged, "That's all I know, I wish I knew a little bit more, but... I guess I can ask him about it later, or something like that." She looked up to the small clock hanging on the wall. It was getting extremely late, only perhaps four or five more hours of darkness left, and then then sun would rise again to start a brand new day. Probably not enough sleep, even if she started a nap right then and there. But then again, she always did need her sleep more than others. "It's best we both get going and get some sleep before tomorrow," she suggested, rising out of the chair, "I'll meet you here tomorrow morning, say, 10 in the morning?"
The gut-wrenching anticipation when you know it's all over! I can't stand it, so I'm taking a break for a while!

So, besides just wanting to get closer together, it's spring break! Which of course means party! But since they kinda want to get closer to each other, they decide to leave their other friends to just get away from society for a while.

Alright, do you want me to start us off?
