Woot woot. I'm thinking of someone shy, since we have a lot of confident/broody/loud (coughcopencough) I usually pair her with water powers, but since Copen has that going on, I'm considering super speed. Would she be allowed to be, say, a niece of Quicksilver? Or maybe a lost love child for the angst when she's wondering about her real father...

Starting my second semester at the end of August. Goooo college! Whoo! Putting ourselves in debt for a degree that might not mean shit, yes!

At least, I'll be out of a job for a while. Majoring in film, minoring in theatre. Sooooo, yeah.

If that Clint and Nat thing is too much for people, btw, I can take that out. I mostly think they helped kind of unlocked that part of his brain. Definitely the pistol proficiency is all his talent. I'd like to think the rest were things that they taught him the basics of and let him work on his own proficiency with them. I'll have to read my thing over again [because i have terrible memory] but I think I wrote that he's okay at using most firearms, but he's most comfortable with pistols and second most comfortable with sniper rifles. Anything else I can make him kind of awful at or just like, he can use them but not incredibly well.

I'll defer to the both of you, though. If you guys are cool with it, I'm totally cool with it too. I figured since he doesn't really have powers aside from being enhanced in a few things (kind of like Natasha is) like his perception and reflex, I should make up for it in some other things. I tried to balance it according to everyone else's powers and I hope I did well enough. D;

Nah, you're fine. I read them over more than once because my memory is shit too, and you did state that he isn't that great with other weapons but sniper rifles and pistols. As for Clint and Nat, that's okay, too. He's fine, he's approved, stop sweating it!

That fanfic "[insert ship name] if you squint" thing. That's perfectly acceptable and since you are, obviously, going to be concentrating on Garret and not all that, then, yeah, cool, man, cool.

As for the firearm abilities, since it seems that has been put in my hands (oh God, the power), I, frankly, see nothing wrong with them. Because of what I know of Garret's past, and because he has trained under the likes of Natasha and Clint (from what I understood from what I read, at least), I think they make sense. And, besides, some people are naturals at that type of stuff. If Tene agrees, then I'm not bothered by them and do not see them as too overly powerful.

I just really disliked how they used Sharon in the movie, at all. Like, they made her role pretty important in the first half. Like, hey, look at Sharon, she's doin' some real work. A+ A+. And then right in the middle it's like, "Haha wait, jk, she's just a romantic interest," and then after the kiss they pretty much toss her in the river and forget about her entirely. Like, WTF. Not only did you undermine Peggy Carter and Steve's relationship ('cause SHE JUST DIED STEVE) but they also pretty much ruined Sharon's character and potential by reducing her to nothing but a romantic interest. And that upsets me 'cause bitch she is a fierce Agent who went behind the CIA's back just so Steve could get his Bucky back.

(and now i should write some fanfic that's very sad about Sharon Carter and unrequited love and now i'm depressing myself. I'm gonna go baselessly ship her with Sam now to make myself feel a lot better)

The Sharon/Steve kiss made me cringe in the theater. Funny thing is, you could feel the hype in the room from the rest of the movie, many people clapped and were making noises (so glad I wasn't the only freaked out fan there) and when the kiss happened, you could literally feel the confusion because... to me, it was out of place and it only happened to remind us "hey, Cap is straight! Even though he is going against all his opposing friends and 117 countries for this guy, he's still straight!!! I mean, it doesn't matter that if Bucky was a chick, Cap would have already boned that, pfft, nah. When it's two guys, they're just really, really good bros, okay? okay!"

I'll admit, I'm a little thrown by the timelines but I'm not trying too hard to make sense of it, either, soooo... lol.

First Magneto had me crying, especially when he was holding his wife and daughter and called them "my babies" like, just stab me with a rusted knife in my gut, it would have hurt less. Then Alex fucking Summers dying hurt just the same, and I cried again. Like, how unfair! AND THEN WE HAVE QUICKSILVER WHO COULDN'T TELL MAGNETO HE IS HIS SON AND THAT CUT ME DEEP. I am pretty sure Magneto would of stopped sooner if Quicksilver told him that... I did like Magneto stopping primarily because of Charles, though. Usually, these movies put too much stock in the heterosexual romances, I honestly thought they'd have Raven say something about their past to stop him but nope, it was Charles always believing in him and I loved that.

(But the almost incest thing WAS GROSS. I MEAN WHY?!?!?) Yeah, it doesn't actually compare to what AoU did to Clintasha. I mean, they totally disregarded Nat for any kind of ship (Bruce/Nat? what's that. is that a thing? i've never heard of it before) and Clint suddenly has a wife and two and a half kids?! WTF JOSS WHEDON. NAT'S WEARING AN ARROW NECKLACE FOR CHRISSAKES. WHY CAN'T THEY BE DATING HOW DARE YOU DO THIS.

My theory is that Nat was told by Fury or something to keep a close relationship to Bruce because they need to keep that power house on their side and working for 'em, feel me, feel me? I'm dreaming...)

Ahh, X-Men!!! I actually enjoyed Apocalypse quite a bit... I mean, I have issues with it, of course, but Quicksilver was the highlight of it all for me (and Magneto. Magneto is perfection... and Charles... and the Summer brothers... and Hank... and Logan... fuck.)
