Josephine was just sitting at the desk quietly, listening to what the teacher had to say, and it wasn't really much of a surprise to her. She knew how badly her mother wanted her to get into college, so she would do basically anything to make that happen. She stood up and walked over to see who she was paired up with, and she had no idea who he was. I've never heard of anyone by the name of Bret?
She sighed and put her hands into the pockets of her varsity jacket and turned around to look for her partner. Most of the guys had already found their partners, so there weren't that many to choose from. She finally spotted a boy who was shuffling around, and he was clearly confused. "You must be Bret," She said, walking over to him. She quickly looked him up and down, and sighed. I've never seen him before, and if I had, I wouldn't remember him.

Micah walked into the class along with the other kids, nervously adjusting his thick framed glasses. Looking at the older boys and girls that were in the room, he could tell that none of them knew what to do with a kid. Micah wasn't as excited as the others. He wondered who he was going to be stuck with, and at that very moment, the lady said that they were to be with the pair in front of them. He looked up at the girl with the brown hair, and smiled.
"I'm Micah!"
