That actually sounds like a great idea! I'm not very familiar with slice-of-life, but I'd be willing to try. Would you like to play Asriel, then?

This is off-topic, but how did you get your signature to change every time the page refreshes? It's really cool.
I never did a genocide run either - I just watched youtube playthroughs, because I could never bring myself to kill Papyrus. Oddly enough, I'd still be perfectly happy with writing Chara. Possible spoilers: if you get all the way to the end of the Genocide run, your save file is forever marked. Even if you reset and do a Pacifist playthrough, Chara appears to haunt you at the very end - that's what I was thinking of when I suggested post-Pacifist.

I didn't know what Swaptale was until you mentioned it, but I Googled it and read the whole thing just now. It's great. If we want to roleplay something like it, though, we have to get all the characters together sooner. Pacifist!Frisk and Chara!Frisk hadn't even met by the time of the most recent page, and we wouldn't be able to interact before then.

If you just want Chara to have their own body, we could come up with an AU where that's true - maybe Frisk's determination revived them in their body, instead of as a malevolent spirit possessing Frisk? Or we could abandon Frisk and Chara altogether, and roleplay different characters.
Wow, I wasn't expecting a reply so soon - thank you for the happy surprise!

Would you prefer being Frisk or Chara? And what premise would you like to start from? Newly fallen, having played and reset a bunch of times, after an ending, etc.
Hello! I just had a plot bunny hop into my brain.

The below is in spoiler tags because it contains major spoilers for the Undertale Pacifist and Genocide/No Mercy runs.

I'm also interested in a general Undertale 1x1 RP, involving almost any characters and any plot (except pure romance - a romantic subplot is ok).

Expectations:
My expectations are pretty lax. Your posts can be any length you want as long as it moves the plot forward and gives me something to respond to; my posts vary in length, but are usually 2-4 short paragraphs. Good spelling and grammar are a plus, but I don't really mind errors. I can post around once per day, and would prefer that you post at least a few times per week.

If you're interested, please PM me or leave a message in this thread!
Slightly embarrassed by the compliment, Brooke looked down at the floor and fiddled with the edges of her sleeves.

"Um, you're pretty neat yourself," Brooke replied. "And I don't think the people here will hate you. Everyone here has special abilities, right? It's a place where we can belong."

It had been a little while - Brooke didn't want to miss the next demonstration, or keep everyone waiting for her. She climbed to her feet, then held a hand out in invitation.

"Come on," she said. "Let's join them."

Brooke hadn't thought of that, but it was logical in hindsight. She nodded. "That makes sense. My power, making portals, is like that too. When I'm scared or upset, portals form almost on their own, but it's hard to make them when I'm calm and happy."

It had been surprising to find that the worse she felt, the easier her power came to her. Brooke wondered what it said about the nature of their powers, that their abilities seemed to appear in reponse to negative emotions. Maybe their powers were just trying to protect them. Maybe there was something more nefarious going on.

"But it doesn't have to be that way. I'll learn to control my power better, so I can use it whether I'm calm or upset. You can learn to manage anger, and not hit people with your power when you're mad. That's why we're here," she said. Brooke felt that she was perhaps being too optimistic - she didn't really know anything about powers yet - but surely nobody would've built an orphanage to teach kids to manage their powers if it was impossible to.

Alphys wasn't surprised when Undyne drowned her pancakes in a pool of syrup. As expected, the determined fish knight gave her all in everything she did, even if it was pouring syrup on pancakes. A fond smile appeared on Alphys' face. Undyne had fought for the monsters' hopes and dreams to come true - she deserved her happy ending, and although Alphys still didn't fully understand what Undyne saw in her, she was glad that Undyne was happy with her. Then Undyne suddenly stuck a piece of excessively-sweet pancake into her mouth. Alphys choked a little, then swallowed it, blushing.

"Um, well, I was just wondering what to do. Grocery shopping sounds good," Alphys said, trying to regain her composure. "Also, I found an anime with fighting princesses, if you want to watch it together. I wonder if Papyrus or Asgore would be interested?"

Alphys kind of wanted to prove to Papyrus that anime wasn't a kind of cartoon for small children, and Asgore had expressed curiosity about anime before. Her first attempt at an introduction had been embarrassing, but maybe the second time's the charm?

When Jack smiled, his features seemed to become brighter, friendlier. Brooke was glad that he seemed at ease, and a grin formed on lips in sympathy. Then her eyes widened as he made a dagger out of darkness. Did everybody here have such cool powers? Jack was right, it was amazing. With that amount of control, there were a world of possible uses that she wanted to ask him if he had tried. She was a little confused, though - how could he have hurt someone by mistake if he could control his powers so well? Brooke wanted to ask, but she was afraid of prying too much and driving him away. In the end, her curiosity got the better of her.

"Why is it dangerous? You don't want to hurt people, so you won't," she said naively.

"Alright, thanks," I say, relieved that she agreed. It's nice to have everyone on the same page. I set off back the way we came, going North back to the center of the Labyrinth. It hadn't taken us very long to get to the pit - hopefully the return trip would be at least as fast. The green walls enclose the path, leaving just the ground before and behind. It looks like it would've been a lot of work to make them. I wonder who had gone to the effort of constructing this place, and why.
Brooke sat down on the floor next to him, criss-cross applesauce. He had almost killed someone?

"Oh," Brooke said softly, not knowing how to respond. She supposed that was why they needed a place like the Orphanage, with classes to teach you about your powers. Brooke was lucky that her power was mostly harmless, but she had trouble with it too sometimes.

"They probably won't make you use your power. Maybe you can just watch?" Brooke suggested. "If you don't want to hurt people, the best thing would be to learn to control your abilities, right?
