Begun reading the first Harry Potter... Kind of want to do a Harry Potter thing now. Wonder if I could finaggle some polymorph potion gone horribly wrong so I could play a furry...

I really should get into the flow of running RPs. I feel I could make fun things. Huff huff, insecurities, innit?

Insomnia is a b... Am I allowed to say that here? I honestly don't know... Ech, insomnia sucks anyway.

Hm. Kind of wish there was some sort of desktop notification. So I'd easier know I had... Well, notifications. Someone should get on that. Or make it easier to find, if it exists.

I don't even know what to put in this here box. So... I dunno, stuff.
Say hi, or something.

@Metadude Ah, yeah. Tau Volantis would be DS3, it seems, the game I never got into. Whopsie, my bad.
Dead space is quite neat. Could make for a fun thing for certain.
Though as for no stasis part, I'm fairly certain soldiers are the ones who have stasis, as I recall one of the games you get into a military vessel, where all the soldiers turn into twitchers and whatnot.
Never played or saw through Dead Space 3 though. I remember a fair bit about the first two games and two of the movies, but nothing about the third game. Hoh well.
As someone who haven't gotten into the new games like at all, it could be fun enough, I reckon. I could be game.
@Shoryu Magami It's like midnight over here, so I have to go pass out, way past my self imposed bedtime, plus I've been sick today. Was a real treat talking to you so far though. Won't mind continuing to talk either! Jus' didn't want you to feel I left you or summit.
@Shoryu Magami Well, action is more than just fighting, naturally. And I guess it was more that I'm not into pure romance RPs, I guess, they get a bit stale for me. Not a good narrative. Not to say I dislike romance, it just needs to be mixed with something else, I guess. Plus, the thought of predetermined romance kind of undermines how I think characters should be their own actors and not follow a riggid plot, so to speak. After all, things can change from point A to B. And personally, my RPs are all over the place in terms of settings, I can shimmy something into anything. High fantasy, modern, sci-fi, what have you, I can make something work. And I do like running characters who are outside the norm in one way or another. And being utterly out of your league physically can be quite interesting.
@Shoryu Magami Ah, cheers. Suppose that makes sense.
And yeah, I do quite love settings more than anything. Can't stand fanfiction kind of stuff, but I could love working within a world, just outside of what would be happening in the canon or whatever.
And I can also quite understand needing to take a kind of break and write something else, lest you get burned out and make it feel like a chore more than anything.
@medalliah Hello! And thank you, it's a cutout of one of my all time favourite commissions, so I figured it would fit well.
@Shoryu Magami Yeah, another reason I wanna get back into RPing is so that I can get my writing up to snuff so I can finally write the novels I've wanted. Guess you don't get more public than published books either, eh?
@Shoryu Magami I both do and don't, I guess. Cuz I think I'd be fine with public posting, so to speak, I'm confident enough to do that. I mean, hell, the reason I ended up joining is because I was reading blogs about god awful RPs, and it got me thinking of getting back into it. So I'm fairly sure I won't be the worst anyone could find and read.
Also, question: What exactly is the 'interest check' thing in the subforums there? Can't really make heads or tail about it.
@Shoryu Magami Ah, yeah. I grew up online, basically. Started when I was around 10, as mentioned, so I guess it's near a given that I'd be highly acclimatized to it. Different generations and all, I guess. I do remember having a brick for a phone as a child though. It was awesome.
And I guess for now, I'll use the place to find people to do one on one stuff or whatever, retain some of that privacy. Still am curious to jump into a group some time though. Hoh well, all in due time.
