Alaira post is up, gonna go back in time and catch myself up so I can add guardsman to a place, maybe.
Alaira, Hunt

Alaira cursed as she swung... She felt the blade find purchase, cleaving deep into the creature's flesh... But she knew that it was strong, it's bones would not be sliced so easily. So, her sword tore apart the meat but proceeded to glide off the bone. The creature was stopped, and the follow-through from her swing caused her to turn around... There was a flash out of the corner of her eye, the woman only having a split second to raise her blade to guard, along with a back-hop assisted by aeromancy...

She wasn't quick enough to avoid the blow, but since she was moving back as well the beast couldn't strike her weapon hard enough to break it. However, the additional force from the blow caused her to fly back further than expected and lose her balance, tumbling to the ground. She didn't have time to strike back immediately, the woman springing to her feet first. Her eyes flicked down to her blade, noting the scratch along the blade that could have easily shattered it had she been slower. She spat, shouldering her blade before dashing in for another strike. She cloaked herself in lightning, bolts of energy arcing around her body and singing grasses as she passed (She wasn't in contact long enough to outright start a blaze, however). She rather liked this 'cloak' spell of hers, it made physical attacks against her a risky prospect: While you could still hit her normally, such an action would not go unpunished... Most creatures and people were not keen on being zapped, after-all. She tried for a running start into an overhead, downward swing at its midsection. And if that didn't work, a backhop was in order.
@Freeshooter92

Might be ideal, as the missions have progressed in your absence and we have little to no idea where Grey is in the catacombs. XD

The guardsman wanders an empty room, holding his torch between his neck and shoulder while he clutches his map. "...Hello?"
Well, now that I've managed to go without playing Warframe for a little while I can hopefully get caught up here before I relapse.

Unless it thrives on fire. Then you just run away.

No, overload it and make it explode. Fire ALWAYS works, you just have to get creative sometimes.

Cut it's head off, usually works.

Yeah. Except when it doesn't. Best course is to just torch the whole thing then.
@Freeshooter92

Do me a favor next time you're going to toss my PC on a horse or something automatically. Lyn is 14 years now so she's not a little kid and while I allowed people to puppet/toss her about without permission, she's getting a bit old for that. Could you ask me next time please? You won't be able to do that next time skip...she'll either be 18 or 21 by that time.

Oh, sorry. I guess... nevermind, it won't happen again.
Alaira Taenn
Alaira let out a soft little laugh when the girl seemed surprised, not at all worried about catching a knife in her for her trouble... It was good that she was alert, if a bit jumpy. She gently rubbed her head in a soothing manner, looking around before crouching low to the ground to search for prey..."Don't worry about it~..." She said quietly, scanning the horizon. "I'm here, remember? Nothing's gonna hurt you on my watch."

She looked up to Annabeth... There might perhaps be too many people, Lyn was a popular one. She was about to say something along the lines of 'Probably the big-ass horse' to her, but she kept it to herself. She was a lot nicer, at least outwardly, when she was around the little tyke. "Try to get a ways off, yeah? I can keep low over here..." She said...

She heard it first. Rustlings in the grass, vermin fleeing in terror across the grasses en mass. She looked about to the source, gasping slightly at the sight... "A Nitemare, here?" She whispered, shaking her head... She'd fought such creatures before, though she'd never killed one herself... Her expression hardened as she rose to her feet, readying her blade... Before she could talk though, Annabeth gave her orders... No, that was a terrible idea! She'd been trying to listen to people more lately, but she'd faced creatures like this before, she knew how to deal with them.

She grabbed Lyn quickly, less concerned with handling her gently with the situation as she placed her on the horse with Annabeth, slapping its flank. "No, get some distance! I can handle it, just keep her away!" She said urgently, turning to see it charge... Along wiht a terrible shriek. She knew what was coming... She didn't have much time. She dashed about fifteen feet from where it shrieked, readying her blade to meet its charge head on, slightly to the side. She'd aim a cleaving blow with her weapon right where its legs would be when it left the veil and re-entered their world... "Come on... Come on then." She growled.

Not really else Lyn wouldn't make to her next birthday. :p

Pfft, you act like explosions can't be happy. You've never seen fireworks, huh?
<Snipped quote by Freeshooter92>

:p I'm not one for explosions.

Alright, I'm going to toss out some Named NPCs folks here in my next post coming today.
