@FrozenEcstasy Confirmed for knowing nothing about 40K.

@ Me when the GM gets on.

"Look at me we have chaos gods born from impure thoughts and a godking that governs our entire religion despite the fact we have no clue why. Lets be at war with Chaos for eternity because we're a grimdark space game based off of a Sci Fi DnD setting... Ooooooh so edgy"

Imma fight you
@DracoLunaris Figure there's a case to be made for a game based on a game to be a grey area.

Furthermore that should disqualify Starcraft for being such a blatant 40K ripoff.

Except Starcraft is actually more complex than "Everything is death, despair, and debauchery" ... Plus 40k is just a genrebend ripoff of DnD if you want to play that game.

*ahem* Sorry I get defensive over my zerg babies.

I'm not against 40k
@71452K@FrozenEcstasy If I had to describe the effect it has on people, I guess it would be sort of... sonic? Imagine being directly in front of the biggest speaker at a metal concert, but being unable to hear anything. It hurts, both your head and in your gut, and it only gets worse the longer you're exposed to it.

Again, my character is likely going to feel normal.

I'm just going to point out that no one in this setting will EVER think an item like that 'sux', it's like finding the fucking Holy Grail and being upset with it because it's elixir tastes yucky.

I mean, my character might actually kill to get such an item even if he's a moral guy - because it's pretty much a "fuck you efertide" I-win card if you know how to use it. @Dead Cruiser

On that note my character will already be crazy. He literally wouldn't give a shit he'd feel normal.
I think you tagged the wrong bro @Dead Cruiser
I feel a sense of poetic irony here that I'm not going to put out for drama saving reasons lol
@Crosswire I PM'd you Kerrigan's rough-draft CS to avoid cluttering the OOC, lemme know what changes you may want.

To be clear, I want her powers to be reduced to the point that a Siren from Borderlands would out-power her psiionically at first, leaving mostly her alien physiology to be her defining basis for her abilities. I figured she'd personally progress by slightly different rules than other player characters as well, focusing more on the betterment of their community than collecting stuff for herself.

'Undead' in the context of Invernier is applied pretty elusively to sentient humanoid-ish mummy-ish beings with a really loaded history, so I'm not sure a zombified cat would work, but since there's a magical style that revolves around wild animals, if you want a heavily enchanted cat familiar under your control, that'd be cool, sure thing.

What sort of eccentric were you going for? It can end up meaning a few different things for different kinds of characters, and some of those may not fit well with the tone or setting for End + Sleep.

Imagine the old lady that nobody really likes but they keep her around because she saved your grandmother from the pox with some weird potion that made her turn a shade of blue for two days. She sorta rambles on about little things like how mushy her tomatoes were or how dreadfully loud the ghost-voices were last night when there was a murder in town. Unnerving, but charming and useful in a fashion that leaves them safe as long as they help out in a small community. Basically a hedgewitch, common for villages in the rough time period this roleplay is based off.

However, she'd be a rather effeminate young man instead, and ramble on more about how his cat Snuffles had the sneezes the night before last because he got sick defending the village from a strange plague-like monster. (As I am writing this our cat just sneezed and fell off the chair he was sitting on I am crying.)

Also, I'm basing this concept loosely on the insanity and ghostiness from Hamlet, my favorite Shakespearean play.

Edit:
*ahem* Also in reference to the cat I'll just make him a sort of combat familiar. Have a spell to make him grow a few sizes, couple it with a healing spell for the character himself to use, and a spell to temporarily animate anything without a lifeforce. Top it off at like three spells, maybe a fourth depending on the power level you'd ascribe.
@FrozenEcstasyOf course it's still opened it I only just made it :D

Also to answer your questions:

#1: Absolutely! It's funny you mention adding Monster Hunter since I'm playing through Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate right now and was thinking of adding it anyway. The monsters would make for some great and challenging encounters, as well as more 'natural' threats to the town itself. To say nothing of the neat armors, weapons, items, and the adorable Felynes!

#2: Star Craft could work as and addition. I'm a bit skittish on Sarah Kerrigan though since I can't quite recall her full capabilities. As long as you don't intend her to be commanding an army of Zerg then I think it should be fine though. She would add some exotic flavor to the current potential cast.

Her full, complete potential at the end of her run in Starcraft is that of an alien demi-deity xD However, I do not intend to play her that way in the slightest. I'm more interested in having a Primal Queen of Blades with severely diminished Psiionic powers due to the new world's convoluted "rules." She'd then see this new world as a way to start a new life. She'd give her now lesser powers to be used as a tool to fortify 2Fort and help it acquiesce resources. In the meantime, should they be found throughout the world, she would domesticate any zerg species as sort of guard dogs and use them to hunt beasts for food and rescources.

Edit: ALso when I say severely diminished powers I really mean severely.
