Actually, I think I have the best idea. Everybody has until 8:00 tomorrow to tell me what nation they are hoping for. I will find the time when hopefully all of them exist, and we choose that.
My choice is 1836 and my second option is 1812
I am up for any of them, although the middle three would be my preferred options (1836 being my #1 choice).
1836, 1812, and then 1900.
I really don't think rolling a dice for a starting date is wise. WiR usually begins preceding an especially pivotal historical event (hence 'World in Revolution'), and the interbellum isn't really optimal for that unless we want to push it ahead a decade and make this WiR: Hitler Edition.
For a start date of 1927, our big event would be... the Great Depression?
1927, the year where Germany's economy went to shit.
What year should we end it? 1947?

I agree with Nexerus here. We should not randomly pick a date solely on a dice role. I think there has been several people who have stated that they would like to start in 1836 (a date that we have not done on this board yet). Furthermore, we should not even worry about an end date. The game ends whenever it ends.
I think that 1836 would be a good date. There has been three 1836 games on the Paradox Boards and we can see if we can salvage anything from their stats (so things that they used in those games seemed totally unnecessary).
I'd be fine with 1836.
Me too.
I've been absent from RPG for a week or two due to real life issues, and finding this upon my return is a nice surprise. I'd love to play.
Establishing an end date seems moot because there is almost no possibility whatsoever of the RP surviving that long, but a starting date is definitely something we should establish sooner rather than later.

In that case I'll opt out. If I were to participate, it'd be to help out without having a lot of work on my plate. You folks have fun!
