Takeshi couldn't even try to wrestle the tendril off of his leg as he was thrown through the air, unable to cushion his fall either thanks to a lack of Ki. Just before he hit the ground he was astonished to see Shu jump up and try to help him, instinctively wrapping his arms around his brother as they both hit the ground and tumbled. While it certainly wouldn't kill them and was far from a serious fall it still hurt like hell, and using his larger size to try and shield Shu meant Takeshi took a good brunt of the landings on himself. Finally coming to a stop several meters away he groaned in pain, his eyes squeezed shut and his arms still linked around his brother.
"You okay buddy...?" Takeshi asked, opening one eye and smiling as he loosened his grip, "Thanks for the help, saved me there..." Both of them were probably bruised and bloody now and they'd still yet to do anything really to the man in the robe. They had to keep fighting him with or without Ki, the portal was still open and there was no chance they could let him get out. If that happened those villagers were probably good as dead and other people would be hurt too. Pushing himself off the ground Takeshi stumbled slightly and reached up to his head to feel his hair damp from blood, wincing as he pressed against the wound. Not good, he was unsteady and his vision was a little funny from that fall, probably banged up inside from it.
Yumi didn't want to let this person get through, everyone would be in so much danger if that happened. Their chances of winning this fight however were becoming slimmer and slimmer by the second. She hated to leave a chance of his coming back but Viral was right, they couldn't fight right now much less win a battle against someone like this. Nodding to show her understanding she tried to find where Shu and Takeshi had gone, worried to see both of them roughed up from the fall and not looking terribly great themselves. "Shu! Takeshi! We're leaving!" she shouted over with a wave before grabbing hold of Viral, still trying to support him despite her leg wound. Running wasn't going to happen so she hobbled as quickly as she could, gritting her teeth the entire way and biting back the pain.
Takeshi wasn't having a very easy time of moving either, lightheaded and sore as he was made moving a huge chore. Keeping a grip on Shu's arm to make sure he didn't fall behind they stumbled after Yumi and Viral, eyes trained on the portal before them just a few meters away. Overhead the air crackled and turned red, a telltale sign of an attack they had already seen once before. Groaning from strain Takeshi scooped Shu up under his arm and broke into a sprint, his entire body crying out in protest as he closed the gap behind Yumi and Viral. The first two made it through just in time and the two brothers cleared the rift as the first rocks began to smash into the ground behind them, destroying the area near the exit. They weren't out of it yet, as they had feared the general was now moving towards the portal itself, his face glowing a bright yellow and his mouth split in a toothy grin.
Luckily on the other side of the portal there were others still fit to fight, the general would never get through the portal. Before he'd even managed to put a hand through it Eris and Orion stood before him, each reeling back before unleashing two large blasts of solar energy at the opening, nailing the figure and driving him off with the force of the blasts. With the sky still literally falling and the man nowhere in sight now Orion looked over to T'charrl and the others, exhaustion plain on his face as he waved them off. "Close it, before he comes back!"
And close it they did. As soon as the portal was sealed shut again Vegeta nearly collapsed, catching himself just barely with a hand on his knee, using T'charrl as well for some support. Haku had fallen back and was laid out on the grass, sheen with sweat as he was but otherwise fine. What an immense strain that had been, nearly every ounce of his Ki had been used in helping that. It felt like he'd just done a lap around the world and his lungs ached as though he'd not had a breath in some time, but they had done what they had to do. Checking on T'charrl he smiled breathlessly and gave a thumbs up, too winded to share any words of encouragement just yet.
"We... We made it out..." Yumi gasped out, collapsing on the grass as well and laughing breathlessly. Elated to be out of that hellish place she forgot for a moment her leg was wounded and only when several villagers approached her did she remember it, the adrenaline having largely numbed the pain. They seemed to be with some supplies, and as it happened the scouts had carried a small supply of bandages with them just in case. It wouldn't do much to stop the pain but at least bleeding shouldn't be an issue, though she'd have some serious damage with her leg being pierced through. Nodding gratefully as they covered her wound she looked to Viral with relief, reaching out and grabbing his paw with a smile. "Awesome job... I'm so glad you were there..."
Takeshi couldn't stay up either once they were through, letting his grip go on Shu as he stumbled forward and fell to his hands and knees. Everything was spinning and he was beginning to feel nauseous, groaning as he tried to make it stop and squeezing his eyes shut. Some of the villagers were trying to help him as well but he brushed them aside, more concerned about Shu than himself right now. He didn't know what kind of injuries his brother had but he still wanted Shu to be seen to first. "Buddy... You okay...? Talk to me."
